just want to say you have really good, cozy energy while being super informative. i so appreciate you and all the valuable info you provide for newbies like me!!
Just to add to your point about education time investment to earn around $70k starting pay....I'm an ex-high school teacher with a master's degree and my ENDING pay when I quit after 19 years in K12 was $57K. So... yeah 👍 😢
Great content, Question what do you think about engineering? I want to be an expert in ux/ui design and a engineer also to do more technical work too. Would you say do ui/ux design and learning engineering while Im working as a UX deigner?
I started with UX/UI then I learned SE using my ux/ui projects I design. Honestly, the two field used to be joined, there are job market titles. Overall, UX/UI and SE; They are skills, don't limit yourself. I encourage you to learn, you can be a well rounded designer and engineer.

Wow, thank you! I'm glad this video helped!

That's so awesome! Thank you for watching, I'm so glad this helped.
Love seeing your videos!! Looking to make this transition into this field as well🙂
You can do it!
You really inspire me, Stephanie. Keep going, don't give up.
Thank you, you are too kind!
I love it. IMHO Freelancing is the way to go.
Yes, freelancing is awesome!
Where do you look for freelance gigs?
Great video! Do you have any experience with people who have made the switch from industrial design to ux design? Thanks!
I've known a few people who went from industrial design to either UX writer or UX researcher, so still within the UX realm.
Annalise!!! 🤣

Ack! That is wild
I'm guessing the stress level is a little low😊
There are good days and there are horribly stressful days too so just like any job, but I enjoy the work and bad days are few and far between.

You can be a ux engineer

Agree with all the comments, UX Design & engineering intertwine more than people realize so if you have both skill sets you would be very hire-able.
