I make hats & scarfs with the back loop & I always double strand dk yarn for my cat blankets for Rescues as its cheaper to double strand than get chunky yarn yours looks lovely 😍 xx
Thank you Betty! I’ve not done a border on mine; I’ve just left it as it is - however, if I was doing one, I would have probably kept it simple and just done either a few rounds of moss stitch or maybe even some tassels in the corners 🥰
I do that stitch but a little different. Instead of chunky I hold 2 strands of red heart super saver yarn at a time to work it. Looks just as beautiful.

Roughly how many grams of chunky yarn and say size 8 hook would you need to make a double bed blanket? I know you can’t give a definite but just a rough idea
