Never painted a rose, but we did dye them in school. You take a white rose that hasn't opened fully yet, and you cut the stem into sections and put each section into a dye. The rose drinks the dye and the veins in the rose petals get colored as the rose opens up.
We did that too . Though I was enough of an idiot to put one part of the stem in pink dye and the other in orange in hopes to get a two colored rose an instead ended up with something that looked like rose shaped chocolate marble cake .
Listening to you speak about life is so calming, it really makes me appreciate life a little more! Your personality is so wonderful and your thoughts about different subject are always so fascinating to listen to. Love your channel!
I don't re-read books or re-watch movies because of the plot, I do it because of the feeling it gives me and the lifestyle I slip into! It is the most amazing thing and I don't get why people say it's boring because they already know what'll happen. Also there are so many things like foreshadowing that you only notice the second time, so it's really worth it!❤️

I would LOVE to watch Nirvana live but I don't wanna live in the 90's , if I could go there for like a day and leave right after that would be wonderful , but I don't wanna leave in a world that lacks inclusivity of any sort , not that the decade we live in is perfect but its better than it was . Also rewatching and rereading things is my fav coping mechanism. I've watched tangled like 8 times
YES! Exactly! It would be nice to visit these periods for a day, but there is so much in the current world to be grateful for. However lovely elements of these past decades are, they cannot substitute the fact that people have more social and political rights today. And I love that you've watched Tangled so many times! Honestly, if I could go back and tell my younger self something, I'd go to when I was 18. Specifically October-November 2018. Hardest moment of my current life span. I'd just hold myself. I'd give my 18 year old self the hug I so desperately needed. And I'd never stop telling myself "I love you. Future you loves you. Don't give up, and don't be hard on yourself. I'll be waiting for you."
I completely forgot she mentioned before being bullied. I don´t know, every time someone says they were bullied it´s again mind blowing and just confirming the fact that the bullying is never about the one being bullied ever. Every time I just think what on earth did they not like about this person? But with bullying the problems are 100% on the bullies side. The way they "chose" is so random. If there is some criteria, then often someone who´s a little bit different to the others and others could actually start to like and appreciate what makes this person special, admire that special person more than the bully. But it´s just sad how their own complexes and problems lead to making other peoples happy lives so miserable. And some bullies don´t even have problems as the cause, they´re just evil and inconsiderate, unaware that other people are also a person, a human with feelings and not just some whatever... Like Ruby, she just as well could have been quite popular and loved for being so sweethearty, kind and smart, beautiful (even though yes, ppl shouldn´t be popular bc of their looks; I know, but they are, and she is beautiful), she´s just such a nice person and I just can´t imagine how you´d want to be rude to her. I guess when being bullied it´s hard to really realise that it´s so true that there is really nothing wrong with you and that often the reason kindeed is jealousy. But once you have some distance and you see other people who were bullied, it just kind of opens your eyes.
🌹Is it illogical? Maybe... But even if you are mad your definitely not stupid, Only those who have the creativity to think of things like this, are the ones who succeed in life. So to all of you paint your roses red🌹

Reading my favorite books over and over again is like going back home. It’s so comforting. I have read certain books so many times I can probably quote them word for word. But it’s like visiting old friends.
My husband and I were also both bullied at primary school, now we are in our '50ties and have become independent and have done lost of nice things like travelling, socializing with nice, caring people and enjoying our lifes to the full! We are both hsp's and I understand now why I was different from anyone else..I only wish I had known back then.. I adore spring, it makes the nature so colourful. I love the shift from dark, grey and boring to light and the nature coming alive again in full blossom. As a kid, I would only appreciate summer, but as an adult my favourite season is spring. It has an air of new beginning and wonderful opportunities to it. The shift I find the hardest is the one between summer and fall, because it’s just a start to an awful and looooong dark road of gloom for months on end.

I was one of those people who preferred math over language arts, any day. Although this doesn't contribute to all the education taught by language arts, I've had a motive to read, and I absolutely love reading now (Ever since I started watching your videos)! I LOVE the Chronicles of Narnia movie series, so I started reading the rest of the books that haven't gotten motion pictures (movie versions). I just wanted to take this time to say, thank you so much, for just doing what you do. Throughout my life, I want to do something just like you, where I can inspire people and/or do something that makes this world a better place.
The advice about putting so much pressure in yourself to get good grades is something I needed to hear so thank you. I’m doing GCSE’s atm and I’ve always been a person who is a perfectionist and has very high standards for myself. I genuinely enjoy school and studying but I am also terrified of failure and disappointing people. I’m defiantly working on it. I have 16 weeks summer holiday starting in 2 weeks until I start A-level. So I can just relax and read all the books on my tbr and spend time with family and friends now we’re coming out of lockdown 😊

Hello Ruby, I have kind of an advice to help you sleep better, so for every one who is interested on sleeping better, what I did, was getting a 1 gallon humidifier (vaporizer) and fill it with clean wather, and leave the mist runnig all night next to my bed, ( over 8 hours I use the entire gallon) and I really wake up with more energy and not tired, I dont know why is it, but I think is because maybe the brain gets hydratated continuosly during the night, also I dont wake up during the night like I used to, and humidifiers are quite cheap too, anyway, those are my 2 cents, thankyou Ruby!
My dear Miss Granger I can’t say that I have ever painted roses red. I love the fact you live simply and try to live sustainably. I do think you’re a smart young lady, and I could see you as a blogger with a focus on sustainability as well as commentary on gardening and the like while having your career in writing and journalism. Perhaps as a part time teacher. Whatever you do, stay true to yourself, and do not give a care about what others think of you. Remember; you can choose how you react to others.

You can do it with celery and white carnations too. I think I was in 5th grade when we did it.
My friend’s mum used to to this, they would often have blue roses. She used food colouring and white roses.

Same here, after already obtaining 2 BA degrees and now doing a 3rd along with an MA, I'm not leaving academics just yet!
I haven't watched these videos in a while and now I'm so happy to be back because I've been currently going in a rough patch in my life and this video made me smile even though it was simple.

Hello Ruby, I have kind of an advice to help you sleep better, so for every one who is interested on sleeping better, what I did, was getting a 1 gallon humidifier (vaporizer) and fill it with clean wather, and leave the mist runnig all night next to my bed, ( over 8 hours I use the entire gallon) and I really wake up with more energy and not tired, I dont know why is it, but I think is because maybe the brain gets hydratated continuosly during the night, also I dont wake up during the night like I used to, and humidifiers are quite cheap too, anyway, those are my 2 cents, thankyou Ruby!

I can’t say that I have ever painted roses red. I love the fact you live simply and try to live sustainably. I do think you’re a smart young lady, and I could see you as a blogger with a focus on sustainability as well as commentary on gardening and the like while having your career in writing and journalism. Perhaps as a part time teacher.
Whatever you do, stay true to yourself, and do not give a care about what others think of you. Remember; you can choose how you react to others.
