I had to field two beer boars when a lineman was injured and it wasn't as bad as I'd feared - they followed my Ulfs around for the match providing frenzy assists, opportunist fouls and more importantly would step up to cover the Ulfs from being counter-surfed when they frenzied onto the pitch edge. They did that job better than a lineman could have done thanks to the 2+ dodging and still gave Pick Me Up to those close by.
I'm thinking more and more about taking the Norse team. Great video that helps a lot. I have a question though, why didn't you mention Akhorne the squirrel in the possible champions?
Hey thanks for the guide. I started recently with bloodbowl and my First Team is the norse. Well my First leaque starts next year and im a little frightend. Do you have Tipps for a good Start?
How did you get on with Necro I'm thinking of taking them in my next league but I think I'm gonna struggle with the redraft if I do average for next season
@@DubSkulls I really enjoyed them, took me a few games to get into the groove though, fitting the right players in a roster to match my playstyle. I ended up using a faster team, 2 ghouls, 2 wolves, 2 wraiths, then fill the gaps with zombies. Wilhelm for a star player if wanted, to keep speed and claws going. Obviously this works for me, might not for others. But overall I happily ran them since they came out for all my games bar 1 tournament.
@@sunderedpsyche4289 That's awesome that you got on well with them I think I'd miss the strength of the Golems tho, I think they would be great fun in a tournament just find them tough in a league as they already struggle to get the players and unless you do well in league it's difficult with the redraft.
Great breakdown, I am interested in playing this team on Blood bowl 3 eventually. I am also interested in seeing which teams get this kind of revamp. As a fan of chaos dwarfs I am a bit worried that I won't like it if they get reworked but I will wait and see. I am also looking forward to reading more people complain about the Norse runner (ie Valkyrie) since they complained so much about the last one.
Yeah I think it's fair to guess that you'll be disappointed with chorfs. Odds are they'll get a slight nerf. But hopefully they get a new positional or something!
@@ProfDCoy A new positional would be pretty interesting, especially since most meta builds of chaos dwarfs all look the same. I wonder what a nerf would look like for the team? Maybe raise the cost of the blockers or make them 0-4 instead of 0-6?
@@cjgrace9026 Yeah a 0-5 or 0-4 limit on chorf blockers would be interesting. I'm not smart enough to say where chorfs really ne3ed a nerf, but it feels like the core chorf problem is that they still get half of a dorf lineup PLUS two of the fastest and strongest blitzers/ball carriers in the game. The hobgoblins aren't so bad or expensive to ruin that. They're fine, and you only have 3 of them on the pitch anyway. So (IMO) cutting a blocker or two is one option, and a slight nerf to BCs is the other. But if you do cut a blocker or two...it might help chorfs to give them a fun new positional? Some kind of specialist hobgoblin? Or a chorf runner? I dunno, something.
After a season if a player is on next seasons roster he should gain tolerance which cancels drunkards effects for the 1st half. Halftime catches up to them ;)
Still not convinced, I must admit. I like the models, though I hate the two-identical-sprues-with-hardly-any-customization-possible boxes. Especially given the recent price hikes. Add a big guy and you're getting to the point where you might as well buy a third-party team. And the players... Ehhh... Seems a bit odd to me. The Linemen look fairly straightforward. Beserkers and Ulfwereners look powerful, but I generally don't like Frenzy (especially without block), so... The Valkyries are just... I don't really know... It might look tempting to throw them into the fray, but without block/dodge and with average armour that's just looking for trouble. And they're not quite there as catcher / thrower. It's a player that tries to be several things at once and thus don't do anything particularly well. And those Beer Boars... Nope, still not convince they'll see much use. They're a huge weakpoint in your line of scrimmage, weak enough to be free SPP for your opponent, and 5+ to stand your player up isn't something you can build your strategy around. Had it been 4+ I might have liked them better, but it isn't, so... But with all the other players being somewhat expensive, I feel you might be forced into using them to free up gold for your positionals. Don't know... And I'm honestly not entirely convinced it's a Tier 1 team. I mean... They look fairly good on paper, but they do have some glaring weaknesses. Kill the Boars ASAP, then use frenzy to lure Beserkers and Ulfwereners away from their support before smacking them down and fouling them too death.
Wow. They kinda lamed up the Norse team. Seriously? Beer pigs and drunkard lineman. Oh, and look, they Mary Sued the Valkyrie. She is literally the best player on the team. Did they put a Strong man on the Amazon team? Yeah, I'll go with the original Norse team.

The fact that they redid the Norse and added some new rules gets me really excited for a potential revamped Vampire team down the line. Goblins, too.
