14:09 thank you for this point, AD. I struggle with fear of being like my mom (heavily pagan and occultic). I was thinking about it today, as i laid my daughter down for a nap: my daughter will NEVER encounter that wickedness. Praise God for an early start in the ways of Christ. May God call her to Himself early ❤

Old saying: what you do in moderation, your children will do to excess. I have seen that in my 4. May God continue to bless you, your wife, your 4. I kidded with a friend, that she should be raising her boys to be good husbands, as my girls would be looking; 20 years later, her boy married my youngest, such a blessing!! Thanks!! Always a blessing.

My husband and I were raised nominally Christian and not catechized well.

11 years as a high school football coach. Great analogy. The worst is fans who criticize the last play. You have about 5 plays that are your bread and butter… you can ruin them against any front, in any scenario, with your first or second string. But then you have about 100 plays off of your base package. If you can ruin your base offense all night, great! But when the defense counters, you have your own counters. You don’t freak out and forfeit! You say, “Guys, this is what we’ve practiced for.” And you may practice a play 100 times to run it only once per year, or not even at all. But you’re prepared for the future time when the time presents itself!!

Excellent stuff brother. A lot of young men need to take the red pill that’s hardest to swallow. That is the one that shows them the reality of their own heart, their motivations, intentions, etc. Only from there true sanctification begins. When a man can face his own sin, confess it and repent of it, he is ready to lead a woman. But if not it’s going to be a rough road and he will not be capable of washing his wife in the word.

Sorry to tell you this, but them’s the breaks. The Bible tells you to lay down your life for her so as to present her holy and without blemish. You expecting her to arrive on your doorstep trad, based, and sourdough in hand just demonstrates the latent feminism you’ve imbibed. If her father didn’t get her there, then it’s up to you to finish the job. Now get out of the comment threads and go get her!

Bring a new purpose to family reunions. If you get together with family during the holiday's plan to strengthen relationships with those that get it. Plan to attend a conference together or make your own mini conference on something, like "How And Where To Get News That Matters To My Family" for example. Evaluate where you are at as a family, exploit your strengths and firm up those weaknesses, etc. Trust me, it takes a long time to do this and can be discouraging, but it is better than nothing. And who knows, maybe it will bring a boat load of encouragement; that's what I hope.
When things got really bad for Israel in Isaiah's time, this was God's word of encouragement. Isaiah 51:1-2 "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, Who seek the Lord: Look to the rock from which you were hewn And to the quarry from which you were dug. 2 "Look to Abraham your father And to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain; When he was but one I called him, Then I blessed him and multiplied him."

I'm 29. Met my husband on Hinge. You have to be very clear on your profile picture what you're looking for. I wrote that I am a Christian with conservative values. Did not give anyone the time of day who didn't agree with that or put that they do drugs and don't want children on their profile. It took a while and so much sifting through garbage to meet good guys. I went on dates with 3 or 4 guys that seemed like a good match before I met my husband. Keep it mind this was over a year and a half. I only found 3 or 4 guys worth my time during that year and a half. If you are extremely picky and unashamed of your values, you can find someone. Also make sure you have recent photos. ☺️

I'm 66, a lifelong bachelor, not for lack of good faith effort when I was younger, so it is what it is. Still above ground and breathing, and lose no sleep over it.
We've been experiencing exponential growth the last 3 years in our Antiochian (Eastern Orthodox ☦️) parish in Kansas City, with young families, but especially with men, particularly young men.
Some of the young men have shown me profiles of women they've been corresponding with on supposed Christian dating apps such as Christian Mingle, E-Harmony and Upward. Most of the young women list themselves as "Non-Denominational" or "spiritual but not religious" (whatever that even means). Most of the young women are woke, and their conversations are no different than the average party girl out there.
Some of the young men have tried Hinge and have had equally bad experiences.
Our priest advises the young men to stay off these dating apps. I agree 💯.
I don't know what to tell younger men out looking for a mate today. Things were no cake walk back in the day for average men, but todays 🤡 world of dating is a different end of the swamp.

Black and white comment follows. Christian nationalism, where the older conservative godly Reformed pastors get along great with the younger conservative Reformed godly pastors. Considering that TRULY godly men that share so much similar theology cannot work together demonstrates why Christian nationalism will fail as it always has. At most it lasts 1 generation. Cromwell would agree. Even under Joshua and David with active prophecy, one generation is all you get at best.
An extremely optimistic mid trib premillenial here looking forward to Christ on the throne of Jerusalem. Like the Master says, it isn’t whether you win or lose. It is that I the Christ have already won Stand and see my deliverance in the 9th inning.
