I say this with the greatest sincerity. All your videos are captivating, in the moment, and simply fun I definitely felt your frustration😮 every time I think about booking a Sri Lanka or India trip, I end up going to Southern Africa instead. And the intimacy of Leopard sightings in the Sabi Sand is unparalleled Let’s face it. I’m spoilt by the quality of sightings in Africa
Hi and thanks for taking the time to view the video and for making a comment. I can't recommend African safaris enough. But i thought i'd give Yala a go since i was traveling to Sri Lanka.
Thanks for the comment. It was extremely off putting especially with so many vehicles in such a short range. Te park was recovering at the time from heavy flooding which made some tracks un-passable but still, way too many vehicles!
Nice video under the circumstances…the amount of traffic is ridiculous….what a shame when you try to broaden the horizons… it goes to show how good Africa is ..especially sabi sands
I think one thing is that focal range can be more important than aperture. I would not have got the photo of the leopard without the greater focal distance the 100-500 gave me. If i had a 70-200 then the photo would be cleaner for noise but i would be cropping in and therefore reducing the image quality in terms of pixels. Thanks for the view and comment.
@@mstarling79 I hear you. In photography, everything is a trade off. After watching your video, I think I would rent a long lens since I don’t have anything longer than 200.
Great adventure, and video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@mstarling79 yes! You got a lot of great photos, especially the leopard!

I have to say that I would find that volume of traffic extremely frustrating.

Wildlife photography is hard. What did you learn from this experience?
