I actually beat this game just last night, weird how this video ended up coming out just the next day. That aside, I agree with a lot of your sentiments on this game. It feels really unfair at times, SO much went wrong- for some reason, though, I can't bring myself to hate it. And in my opinion, World 1 might have actually been more difficult... (not by much, though!)
Then why does World 1 make me grumble and World 3 make me cry? ... might have used more save states for my first run of 1, come to think of it. Still have more issues here, but hey, I kind of get it.
@@ExploDjinn While I haven't played World 2, 3, or 4... yeah Rockman World a.k.a. Mega Man Dr. Wily's Revenge is *hard.* No slide, no Rush. ... That is both a joke and being honest. Though I will add the first Rockman World game seems to have inherited the "jank" of the original Mega Man e.g. feeling off in the controls, bizarre difficulty spikes, cheap stage layouts, etc.
I've heard varying opinions on this one. Ranging from it being bad to being fairly good. Maybe a few who think it is the worst, but no one claiming it is the pinnacle of the Rockman World games (let alone 8-bit Classic Series games). *What I will say is that I like Mega Man X6.* Because I still want to believe I'm not alone, and am hoping someday, my peers will see a comment and let me know. XD ... Joking aside, the fact that I _like_ Mega Man X6 really is useful for me understanding how I handle the X games. I don't think X6 is the best or anything, but now that I've at least _played_ the core Mega Man X through Mega Man X8, and beaten the first six titles... though *some* of this may be because, while the emulation for X1 through X3 in the collection was poor, X4 seemed about right and X5 through X8 might be _better_ because of modern saving and not ye olde PS1/Saturn or PS2 saving... *Don't get me wrong,* X6 has some real big flaws, but the _short_ version (since this is long enough) is I got used to the bad bits, which are often just things we see across the series but worse than the top half of the X series (X4, X, X2, X3 *except* on the Legacy Collection) but noticeably better than the bottom half of the series. Though it helps immensely to be playing it via a collection; reloading on the PS1 when you miss a Reploid would have been a... *nightmare.*

@ExploDjinn didn't you also mention that world 4 made you cry? I think I might know why but I'm looking forward to your mmw4 video just to see...

@@JRENZO10 I had a much better time my second playthrough, but there's still some pretty nasty parts.
I always assumed the oil he was gathering for this was to power the final boss of mega Man 4 on the game boy. Makes for some good continuity at least

I mean, I got used to X7, so anything's possible. And I will say that, while I hate X6, I don't mean to dunk on anyone who likes it.
