@@sarveshnathan7559 When he indicates on three (chronologically four) separate occasions that he believes that Tobi told him the truth about Itachi and the Uchiha massacre, to the point that he commits to killing people over it, but then tries to verify from Danzo whether it's true, even though that's the only reason he decides to kill Danzo in the first place, that makes him dumb. Why bother verifying the information from another source if you've already shown that you believe it completely, and have already committed to killing people over it? That makes no sense.
What also makes no sense is the fact that he explicitly complains that the villagers are ignorant of Itachi's sacrifice, and that they should suffer for it, even though he KNOWS that they weren't in a position to know, AND he knows that he could tell them the truth, now that he knows, but he actively decides not to. The fact that he decides that making them suffer for not knowing is the better, or only other option, makes no sense.
Sasuke also ignorantly believes Tobi's claim that none of the villagers would believe the truth if they knew it, even though Tobi has no actual way of knowing that, and the reason he provides logically would have also applied to Sasuke, yet Sasuke believed his story anyway, despite similar circumstances. Tobi is at least either bullshitting Sasuke when he says this, or he legitimately does not realize that he's incorrectly speculating.

@@KIWAMl Shindens were light novel backstorys kishimoto drew for certain characters. I think there is one about Kakashi. They adapted some of them into episodes. The one for itachi takes place towards the end of the war arc. They basically are their backstories fleshed out
Man, the Itachi Shinden novel was hella depressing..especially when he killed his lover
Itachi’s back story gets even more sad 😭 Izumi (the one girl that adored/liked Itachi when they were little kids) wasn’t slaughtered by Itachi. When Itachi was going around killling his clan members, he meets Izumi but it cuts into a different scene in the anime. Obviously he killed her but in the two books/mangas dedicated towards Itachi’s back story from him being a little kid to him killing all of the Uchiha members, showed that he put Izumi in a tsukuyomi that lasts 70yrs but in reality it lasts a couple seconds. But in those 70yrs for Izumi graduated, she became a jonin, then got PROPOSED TO BY ITACHI and got married, and then had kids, they grew old together and then she contracted an illness and Itachi took care of her all the way up until she died. And Izumi died from this tsukuyomi because her mind decayed so much happiness in a span of couple seconds, and as she died, she said, “thank you itachi” and then itachi smiled back, grabbed her shoulder said, “thank you too”.
Talk about one of the most beautiful and most sad back stories EVER in naruto history. There’s a lot but this one for me takes it to a whole other level 😭😔 Itachi a TRUE AS G FOR THAT!!

The reason why Sasuke turned against the village instead of wanting to protect it like Itachi did, is because he basically has come to understand that the Leaf Village is responsible for killing his clan and ruining his and Itachi's lives, and he wants to make them pay for that. He spent his whole life preparing to avenge his clan, but now he realizes that the people responsible are still out there and still getting away with it. So even though Itachi chose to sacrifice himself and the clan to protect the village, Sasuke wants to visit justice upon the village for the genocidal injustice it inflicted upon his people and his family.
This is indeed one of the best moments in anime. Itachi's story had such depth other than "target of revenge" and it showed true shinobi value...we even understood that the hidden leaf wasn't as daisies and love hearts as we thought...echoing how they could even treat naruto the way they did and continue on with their lives.
This was soooooooo good. Real Top tier writing here

For the fact as to why Itachi killed everyone and not just the people behind the coup :
Itachi's mission and also a request from someone you'll find out later was to
*Save the Leaf Village AND the pride of the Uchiha Clan*
If all strong members of the clan were killed the people or clans who resented them would treat them in a ridiculous way. Also the word that some of them were planning coup would tarnish the image.
This is only my opinion though.
Also....do you guys remember Itachi asking Naruto as to why he was so obsessed with Sasuke? He was aways looking out for Sasuke. I recommend you guys to watch Itachi Gaiden now. Itachi's whole story is explained amd it's pretty dope.

You don't have to kill anyone to unlock any sharingan until the Mangekyo you only have to lost someone you really love
u have to remember how itachi was brought up during a world war and what he saw (and he had to catch a few bodies at like 4 yrs old to survive) made him become a pacifist and hate war. so far we have never seen itachi try to kill someone, he just intimidates them, itachis power is greatly underated becvause he simply never tries. also you gotta remember he was on medication during the fight against sasuke.
I love how right before Sasuke reveals his new objective, one guesses protect the leaf and the other guess destroy the leaf. Continue the illusion or shatter it.

Each of Itachi's Mangekyou abilities are an amazing metaphor too. I'm one eye he has Tsukiyomi. I time altering, hellscape genjutsu where he controls everything. In reality he was undergoing absolute hell and deluding the entire world into believing he was an evil person. In his other eye he possessed the Amaterasu. A black burning flame that will literally never extinguish just as he's like a black sheep and his never ending will of fire to protect his village and his little brother
Rob does realize that Kakashi is Yamato's SUPERIOR OFFICER and Yamato answers to him, right?
Btw Team Hebi means Team Snake and Team Taka means Team Hawk, referencing how Itachi spoke about whether or not Sasuke would be a snake or a hawk.

EITHER WAY, it would make the Hidden leaf village vulnerable even if they win against the uchiha, and the other villages would take advantage of it, and if Uchihas would win, well, it would be a spoiler, and then dingding, 4th great ninja war

1.Itachi, contrary to popular belief,has a choice to take Sasuke and run,let the Konoha's higher ups deal with the situation.Anyway,they both end up rouge ninjas and under the employment of the Akatsuki,so what's the difference if they run?Also the bad thing is he didn't at least ask danzo can he keep his mother alive.
2.Or he could have exposed Danzo's ulterior motives and pass the credits to the 3rd Hokage,thus showing the village that they are still valued members, especially by the highers ups.
3.The possibility of a 4th Ninja War breaking out is far from the truth for the following reasons Below,hence the number of feared casualty argument is moot, which will clearly reinforce that Uchiha Massacre is for gain and not for the good of the village....The 3rd Ninja War just concluded just 8-9 years prior,hence all nation's were still in a rebuilding process.A peace treaty was in place.....If other nations would like to invade Konoha,they would have done it after the Kyuubi destruction some 2-3 years after the 3rd Ninja War concluded,where they suffered significant military and infrastructure loses, including the death of 4th hokage, which would left them low on morale and grieving,and susceptible to any attacks.Remember they won the previous war solely because of him?
Kishimoto awful writing made Itachi look dumb and even dumber when a 4th Ninja War didn't happen even when the sand and sound village attack the hidden leaf village like we didn't see other nations join and help destroy the hidden leaf.
I love Itachi but I love Sasuke mord. It's infruriating but not a lot of people fucking realized he made a mistake in his decision. He even said so himself when he was edo tensei'd.
He should have talked it out, damn it. At least to Fugaku or to the 3rd so they can come up with a solution. Sasuke understands that Itachi himself was manipulated and he felt for him so he sought revenge. Love will do that to you.
@@supaseru9736 well tbh, exposing danzo to the leaders wouldn't make a difference but a be a problem on its own cause that'll cause the distrust among the councils themselves, which will lead to not finding a solution soon. And the reason the villages didn't attacked after nine tails attack because the only thing the village lost was small amount of shinobis, 4th hokage and his wife, they had the 3rd hokage who was called the strongest of his time, uchiha, and all other clans. According to me, there was no other option than this after shisui's death. Coz now if itachi used kotoamatsukami on fugaku and delay the coup, fugaku will not be trusted coz the amount of trust for fugaku was already very low because most uchihas believed that itachi killed shisui because of orders from anbu, according to them fugaku didn't take any actions on itachi already. Anbu killed the one of the strongest uchiha is what the members believed and even after that if fugaku says to delay the coup and use words, he'll definitely not be trusted and the members will do a coup of their own which will definitely not as effective without fugaku but will still kill many innocent villagers and much more violent

Itachi spent his whole childhood fighting in a war and seeing tragedy after tragedy. That trauma lead to having a very kind heart and wanting to do everything possible to avoid a war. That’s why he chose to kill his family

Honestly it’s a shame how irrelevant the side characters are imagine if they were on the same lvl as Naruto and saskue damm.
One of my gripes with Naruto Shippuden, they did the side characters dirty. They built them up in og Naruto only to make them "relevant" with new techniques in last arc of the anime smdh 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

@@Melvin_499 Agreed. Story was solid to great up until the end of the Pain Arc. After the Rinne Rebirth ending, everything went to shit all the way through the war. The only good thing after is the final Naruto Sasuke fight.
