Video is great! A couple of notes: - the 'blue shit' is blue Loctite and it is a thread locker to help keep the sensor in place and not loosen out - the actual socket is 27mm
My oil pressure guage on the dash stopped working and the "check gauges" light came on... I'm hoping replacing that sensor does the trick. Great job helping people out! Perfect video.
Video was perfect. I had watched a few others and didnt quite understand... yours was good. And Much appreciated. Although, I had bought a 1&1/16in socket at the auto store along with the new sensor - I got my sensor off with it.. but my new one was like... 1/32 too small lol. So I couldnt get it SUPER tight... I tried squeezing a wrench in there but the only 1&1/16 I had ( and adjustable) were longer than 8in so it was a pain couldnt really get to it.... I think its good... I reset my CEL and so far It hasnt popped back up after 10mins of IDLE... However, my oil pressure is 'allegedly' lower now... its not LOW its just bit UNDER the halfway mark, when beforehand it had stayed a bit ABOVE the halfway mark... anyways, thanks so much for your time much love
Yes then you have to rest the light. Step 1 - Put your key into the ignition and turn it to the on position without starting the engine. Step 2 - Slowly press the gas pedal three times in a row within 10 seconds. This should reset the system. Step 3 - Verify the reset by turning the ignition off and then on again. If it continues you might have a coolant leak somewhere that you can not see and usually it's at the timing chain area from what a gentleman said on TH-cam. But let's hope it is not that. But changing that switch should do the trick
Will say this in some dodges if you change the oil pressure sensor an it still comes on you need to change your oil, seem a lot of people don't recognize that either
I’m not sure I only changed the oil pressure sensor in this video, they may be the same thing? I’m not sure I’ll look it up though so hopefully if it is something different I can make a video about that to help you too
I had to change mine because the oil pressure gauge wouldn't work sometimes. I've heard sometimes the sensor leaks oil into the connector so make sure to look at it and clean it if it has oil in it
Is it actually tape? Or thread lock like lock tite? Blue is medium strength red you'll need a torch to melt it back to liquid that's serious level stuff

@@ACE-le8ohwhat u mean by changing ur oil? i did both sensor and oil but still doing same 😢
@@ae7082 I got 05 ram and after oil change and reset on dash fix everything
What symptoms was the truck having to make you replace that sensor?
I had a check engine light come on P0522
Where is your oil temperature sender located I don’t see it and what are the 2 holes right above oil filter

what is the part number. im having trouble finding one. they all show 3 prongs
I use a website called “RockAuto.com”
'that blue shit ' lol great vid bro thanks
Thanks for the positive feedback dude lol, I just keep it real and say it how it is lol
Why did you change your oil pressure sensor? Did it fix the problem?
I honestly changed it because of a check engine light, and yes it worked
I had to change mine because the oil pressure gauge wouldn't work sometimes. I've heard sometimes the sensor leaks oil into the connector so make sure to look at it and clean it if it has oil in it
Is this the 5.7
Yes sir
You want the blue tape to be a little exposed so it does leak oil again it works like a gaskets you tighten that bolt a little too tight 😅
I appreciate that
Is it actually tape? Or thread lock like lock tite? Blue is medium strength red you'll need a torch to melt it back to liquid that's serious level stuff
It's not regular tape, its called Teflon tape, it just adds another seal to make sure nothing leaks
@@JodabeastG basically what I just said
Squeezing and not sliding off
We’re you able to get it off sorry I’ve been super busy with work
thanks bruh
I believe this is the oil pressure switch not the sensor
Thank you
Way to tight your supposed to see some thread
Thank you for the positive feed back I will adjust it
