So many people did not take Brave and the Bold seriously because it just seemed so Adam West 60s camp right from the start. If you didn't hang around though, you missed out. Chill of the Night could have been a BTAS episode, easily. And so many other stories were very solid nods to the deepest parts of DC lore. It really was a very solid show overall, just with a lighter heart when it didn't need to be so heavy. Which only made the contrast stand out more, really.
Exactly, and it's funny because Brave and the bold is more a love letter to the sliver age comics but slightly modern, rather than an animated version of the 60s show, it's what made it so much fun but still knew how to make it feel like it's own thing. Idk how to explain it properly but brave and the bold has a certain charm with itself and it's why I love it. People have fun in their own way but man do some people just hate having fun lol

The Chill Of The Night was my personal favorite. Written by the great Paul Dini. I like how it was heavily implied that Spectre influenced the death of Joe Chill, displaying the will for vengeance on his terms. Fun Fact: Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy lent their voices for Spectre and Phantom Stranger.
The Batman of this series has perhaps one of the best interpretations of Batman in terms of character. Unlike his gritty yet cynical version, that is often portrait in the comics, often making Batman a dislikable character.
Best one was definitely Joe chill. Adapted from the comics but given a lot more layers to what Batman would do to the man who took his parents away from him. Added layers considering Kevin konroy and mark Hamil were playing the two beings either keeping Batman on the path of justice or vengeance. Man that episode was amazing

I like it better when Batman Vs Superman when it was about to save one another not fighting about conflicted ideals As Chill of the Night it should have been The Animated Series conclusion to Batman to give him the closure he need and develop his character more BUT NO they never did, they ruined him by dating Barbara Gordon, Dick's girlfriend and pushing away Tim not to mention it should have been him who fought the Joker no offense to Terry but it should have been the second closure he needed to truly move on with his life Other Batman shows deserve love too *Beware The Batman(Alfred and Katana are the highlights of this show along with Barbara becoming Oracle they should bring it back and the amazingly written antagonists such as Magpie and the way they put Slade aka Deathstroke into the mix) *The Batman(love the healthy sibling relationship between Dick and Barbara, I am and always been Dickory shipper except in Young Justice which was great and Nightwing 2016 Comic which was beautifully done) And Finally Batman The Brave and The Bold for it's lightheadedness and compelling story along with it's appreciation of underrated DC Supeheroes😍❤
The siege of starro was the highest point of the series to me, it introduced starro in his full cosmic horror, made the friggin faceless hunter a threat on par with galactus’ heralds, gave the lesser heroes a chance to shine without main league star power(yes Batman is there but besides assembling backup and saving bwana beast he doesn’t overshadow the c-listers), that introduction at the first part, and making the death of bwana beast of all people an actual tearjerker moment. Plus at the moment dark crisis is happening with another universal threat and the league is “dead”. if I may be a allowed some cynicism, I don’t see dark crisis and being as enjoyable as the siege of starro.
I tried to watch it, but ultimately had to skip this show. I can respect they went for a very stylistic approach with the show's look. It just wasn't for me. Unfortunately, I simply couldn't get past what I felt was a truly ugly art style. While a bit specific, I think the following example may illustrate how I feel: I can handle a si fi show with crappy special effects, if the story is good. But if the show/film is animated, I can sometimes find it difficult to look beyond the art style if I find it somewhat repulsive or bothersome. Great video, as always. 😎👍 *Edit:* 👖 _pants!_

I think people forget how silly The 90s series could be. Not an insult, just it's always good to balance the grim with some silly.
