Just patiently waiting for you to listen to "Euclid."😅 The piano and vocals are so good! But I feel that before you listen to that you'll need to listen to "The Night Does Not Belong To God" first! Enjoy your reactions! 😄
Somehow this song feels like such a throwback to the 90's...I could totally see a band like Pearl Jam or Soul Asylum doing this song back in the late 90's...
I’ve listened to this song multiple times and it still makes me cry to this day. Reminds me of darker times in my life. Fortunately I’m better off now than I was then. Love your reactions Vanessa. Keep it up! 😊
I like the little moments we get to spend together before the video. Any time we can learn something new about you I am all in for. Great reaction and so glad you were able to hear this beautiful song. Def check out dark signs or anything from the sundowning album soon. You won’t regret it lol
Vango you are awesome. We all process things differently. This song was the first song that gave me a visceral emotional reaction. I think at this point all of them have in one way or another, but this song the first time I heard it just crushed me. I met a soulmate a few years ago and we decided to be in a relationship. She happened to be damaged by her experiences and had self-harmed for most of her life. That second verse “I woke you up one night dripping crimson on the carpet, I saw it in your eyes cutting deeper than the scars could run.” I lived it. Being woken up to body horror. Seeing it in my mind’s eye for days and weeks after the fact. Feeling completely fucking helpless to stop the thought patterns and how she snowballed from happy to sad without warning. How violently she hated what she allowed to happen or how little she could control. I understand this song too much as I held together her wounds sometimes literally because you don’t always know what to do when someone you love can’t see past their pain. I cried for days about this song. I think these songs are what we want them to be. Vessel just displays a certain manifestation of pain, and off we go. Our minds commiserate with his pain. We want to connect. We want to feel, and maybe that’s positive, maybe that’s negative but it’s wholly real. I think it was the first time I fully processed what happened with her. I will be thankful to Sleep Token for that. The human experience is not a unique thing and we all have things we can share or glean from others to not feel alone in our own unique experiences. It’s why reaction channels exist in the first place. Vore has a line in it “are you in pain like I am?” We all are, have been, and will be. We must keep going.
A while ago I was with somebody who I really loved but it didin't matter how hard I tried I just couldn't hold back the darkness of her depression... to me this song is the perfect description of those rough times where you want somebody to be ok but the cost is that you aren't ok anymore, and it doesn't matter because you love that person.
I think the first verse is a parents perspective seeing your child self harming / self destructing. I wouldnt have read thay take until i became a dad. Now its painfully obvious.
I still have a theory that this song is taken from the same perspective as the person Vessel is talking about in “The way that you were”. “I want to help you but I don’t know how” “You will no longer stand between collapsing walls wearing a smile, like you can’t bear it anymore.”
One of the reasons i absolutley love this band is the abiltity to make you look into your own actions. Things you could be doing and affecting the person your suppose to love and cherish. Your supporter. Love is the universe and people need to catch on and show the people in their lives before its too late. Ask them are they doing okay
I'm not okay a-gain. "the sun will come out eventually" What a beatiful song with such a powerful message. Is that an umbrella tat, if so, time to go down the BMTH rabbit hole (actually wait for their NeX GEn album to drop, which is currently delayed). Until then, additional rabbit hole for Vango consideration: IAMONE - FOLLOWING THE RABBIT HOLE (beware - it's a 20 minute song, but it's so fukin' awesome!) LFG & worship!
This band and you reacting to them, hitting a cord with me. Been through my ups and downs with health as well. Much respect. I was also 9000 in line for tickets in Toronto 😢. Needless to say didn't get them. If I had I would.have invited you 😅. Keep the spirit going and all.the best 😊 P.s. Check out dark signs, and Vore would love to see your reaction to them✌️
I feel you with the mental health piece, I've been there myself. I love music because it can touch on every emotion and even these sadder songs help us realize we aren't the only ones. On the flip side, I'd recommend listening to Might Love Myself by Beartooth, if you haven't already. Great song for a pick me up.
Hey Vanessa. Enjoyed your reactions lately. Especially those from Bad Omens and Sleep Token. Wanted to ask...what about Imminence? They're basically violin-core, at least right now. Violins, dirty/clean vocals have been their bread and butter. Latest song, Continuum, was amazing. But they have an amazing catalog if you want to dive deep. Wish you well, Michael
I agree and appreciate your take on different interpretations, that IS music. Kinda think some people need to chill on all the “lore” and quit trying to school listeners on Vessel’s perspective/ intent for every song.
Another nice reaction! And I agree, there is no right or wrong in how you interpret a song. I take it as Vessel is looking in the mirror. Talking to himself but that’s just my opinion. Brave of you to talk about your own struggles. 💕
Hola Vane, gran canción. Me encantó tu vídeo... PD: si te gusto el dulce de leche venite para Argentina, te espero para escuchar dulce de leche y comer Sleep Token jajaja 😂
Suffice it to say that Sleep Token knows how to pull emotional strings... I'm kinda concerned now that I have tickets to a show - I may have to disguise myself as a blubbering idiot. Too late! Thanks for the reaction Vango... it made me go back and check out the video you mentioned about your health. Thanks for that one too...
I self harmed as a teen. This song helped me, actually Sleep Token made me feel less alone and helped me to grieve. I just found them or they found me at the time I needed their music. I hope your health gets better, if you're going to Drs, advocate for yourself, don't let them say you're too young or it's just anxiety. 🫂🫶🙏
Just patiently waiting for you to listen to "Euclid."😅 The piano and vocals are so good!
But I feel that before you listen to that you'll need to listen to "The Night Does Not Belong To God" first!
Enjoy your reactions! 😄
Noooo she gotta listen to the albums in order first! Or at least The Night Does Not Belong to God first
Yea
You ST fans are so annoying... just let her enjoy the music alright? There really isnt the "right way" to do it
Dark Signs: "Where I was raised there were no streetlights"
AYROK: "I raised you in the dark"
There is something about hearing someone say "are you REALLY okay?" so genuinely that gets you.
That is the power of singing with conviction.
Breaks my heart this song my partner battled cancer .beat it then had a car accident the day she got the all clear
"I want to help you but I don't know how" ~ UGH! RIGHT IN THE HEART!!!!
Somehow this song feels like such a throwback to the 90's...I could totally see a band like Pearl Jam or Soul Asylum doing this song back in the late 90's...
I first listened to this track while eating breakfast on May 19, 2023. Had to stop eating for the day. It hit that hard. Truth.
I’ve listened to this song multiple times and it still makes me cry to this day. Reminds me of darker times in my life. Fortunately I’m better off now than I was then.
Love your reactions Vanessa. Keep it up! 😊
Happy you’re doing better now 😊
Dealing with some mental health issues myself, that part where he says “and I cannot fix your wounds this time” gets me every time…
Heard this written from the perspective of Vessel's mother; her struggles with his own mental health issues growing up.
I like the little moments we get to spend together before the video. Any time we can learn something new about you I am all in for. Great reaction and so glad you were able to hear this beautiful song. Def check out dark signs or anything from the sundowning album soon. You won’t regret it lol

Oh so you did do this song....can't wait to see how you emotionally respond to this song. Love the coffee choice by the way.
Awe, Vanessa. This one is a hard one to get through. Thank you for still going on this amazing journey!

Nice reaction !!! I love you showed up your emotions. I cried too.
Hugs ❤

This song gets me every time and sometimes I’m really not OK
I still have a theory that this song is taken from the same perspective as the person Vessel is talking about in “The way that you were”.
“I want to help you but I don’t know how”
“You will no longer stand between collapsing walls wearing a smile, like you can’t bear it anymore.”
YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO "IS IT REALLY YOU" IT'S A SINGLE OF THEM AND IT'S ANOTHER ONE THAT GOT YOU RIGHT IN THE FEELS!!!
One of the reasons i absolutley love this band is the abiltity to make you look into your own actions. Things you could be doing and affecting the person your suppose to love and cherish. your own interpretation means everything. thats like the whole point of the anonymity of this band. no interviews. just music for you.

I'm once again asking if you could please react to Periphery-Wax Wings. Amazing vocals and emotional lyrics, with top tier instrumentals
Love the reaction❤ always waiting on your next video! Stunning woman❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😁
I was wiping my eyes eyes with towards the end of the song

I interpreted this song as it being through the perspective of one of his parents or both.
Aaah! Yay! This is a hard one ❤ keep going with this band!
It took a while, but I'm finally able to listen to this song without sobbing!
Your health is ALWAYS paramount. You do whatever you need to. We'll be here.
FINALLY! Lol I’ve been begging since the first video you made!
Ah this song hits just right in the feels
Im not a huge slow rock fan but Sleep token i make an exception. Hopefully you are doing okay Vanessa ❤

Cheers Bustelo best ever
Wait til you get to Euclid lol this band doesn't miss, they really put the rest of us in our places with that last album 😂😭
They have not played it live yet. But I agree with you that it could be emotional
I agree and appreciate your take on different interpretations, that IS music. Kinda think some people need to chill on all the “lore” and quit trying to school listeners on Vessel’s perspective/ intent for every song.
the apparition please!!!
I'm the father of a teenage daughter who's self-harmed in the past. This song fucked me up BAD when I first heard it
Another nice reaction! And I agree, there is no right or wrong in how you interpret a song. I take it as Vessel is looking in the mirror. Talking to himself but that’s just my opinion. Brave of you to talk about your own struggles. 💕
Can be a burly bearded tattooed guy like myself and THIS song can tear at you deeply 👌🏻💯
Random comment but “Is it really you?” Is stuck in my head 😩
I once HEARD that PAIN is the CORE of CREATION!!!!!!!! W.O.R.S.H.I.P.🖤
Vessels voice is both full of beauty and pain all in the same song
❤
I kept reading the channel name as Vanoss Games and I was really confused until I realized it said Vanessa Gomes lol

If you haven't found happiness, I hope it finds you. Never forget to love yourself first!
Loved the intro.
Get ready to cry again 🫶🏻
A beautiful song for sure but I keep this one out of my sleep token playlist as it's not one I'd like to hear daily 😅
I believe this song is written about vessel, from his mother's viewpoint.
Believe it’s “Sleep” talking to Vessel
pretty words vanessa
Separate channel idea. VG drinks coffee. I'd subscribe
React to Too Close To Touch? 🤔

Are any of us *really* okay? (No. The answer is no.)
Just do Euclid already.
Im a man, I don't cry instead my eyes are water taps of emotions.🥲
I self harmed as a teen. This song helped me, actually Sleep Token made me feel less alone and helped me to grieve. I just found them or they found me at the time I needed their music.

Thank you for sharing ❤
He is in fact talking to himself in the mirror ( allegedly :) worship
That’s how I picture it! Listening to this seems like somebody looking back at their childhood and talking to themselves :)
