My Opinion on wanda: Haha i erased time lol.
My Opinion of wolfgangs rework. Personal opinion, it looks like its catered more towards newer players. And with the flat decrease to both his general stats, and no longer a speed buff, The exchange is he can consistently do 2x damage without having to eat for it. I dont really think its worth it but like I said, the character is still really good regardless. Its just more of a nerf than a rework.

The only thing I would change is putting wendy at the top of A tier. Her damage modifier only means a little longer boss fights. But she shreds almost anything else with abigail. Abigail even bufs teammates dmg too. She might even be low S tier

As a Webber main, I can confirm that he does NOT deserve S tier.
Webber is a super solid character, no doubt, and definitely earns his spot in A tier.
But considering S tier has characters with double damage, teleportation, and overall very few weaknesses, Webber has no business being in that tier.

@@dextops702 I'm curious. Why? The characters in S tier on this vid are widely agreed upon as the best. And webber can produce an asinine amount of spider-based resources, which includes infinite meatballs.
I agree that willow is an annoying/difficult character to play with but she has one of my favorite personalities and designs from the cast :)

Hard disagree with Warly being D/C tier.
It is true that healing is a bit of a problem for him, his portable crock pot and a few of his exclusive recipes mean that he's not going to have a hard time with healing. You just need to know how to make more than Pierogi. If anything, I'd say that Sanity is a bigger threat to Warly on account of the fact that there's no Healing Salve/Honey Poultice equivalent that he can fall back on.
In addition, While Warly does work better in a team space, he can still eat all his foods himself, and spices/buff foods don't lose effectiveness or duration with repeated eatings. So with proper prep, you're looking at a character who
>Can harvest twice as fast with honey crystals
>Can potentially out-DPS Wolfgang with Spicy chaud-froid
>Can ignore summer and winter tempatures with Asparagazpacho and Dragon Chillie salad
>Can have a light, weapon/tool, backpack, and armor all at the same time with Glowberry mouse.
>And a bit more that I'm probably forgetting.
Despite his limitations on healing, Warly can do nearly everything so well that I'd put him High A Tier - Mid S tier.
Btw he can outDPS wigfrid and outtank her which is very funny, but not wolfgang's 2x dmg compared to his 1.8x dmg when spiced up
Halfway into typing this comment i realised that you meant his dmg against wet enemies which is 3x (god damn)
Warly's setup is a major roadblock, and he requires more game knowledge of recipes for both healing and sanity. I think he has great potential even solo if you know what you're doing and you're not speed running though.
As far as healing / sanity goes, the second use of a dish within his c/d is 90% effectiveness, which isn't that bad. 2x perogies, 2x trail mix, 2x surf n turf, 2x dragon fruit pie... Honestly that is still a decent amount of healing he can access. If you're not tanking that should be enough for any fight in dst really. It requires you know how to fish and farm, but they aren't hard things to do.
I've only been playing Warly for a bit, but I've found I can do some great things with him. Honey spice is EZ ez EZ to make, and if you tie it in with a moon-glass axe you'll clear forests faster than Woodie. Although new Mighty Wolfgang with glass axes and honey spice is a joy to take to a forest too XD
Warly is S tier because you don't need to play him to benefit from his dishes. Just use the the celestial portal to change character, cook, then change again.
@@estebanmorales3635 Honestly being a switch character probably makes Warly worse. Just cooking all his stuff and bundling it then switching to another character is unfortunate, he definitely needs something that only he benefits from.

This is a good list, but i would put overly detailed modded characters in f due to how uncanny they are.
Nice tier list. Altho i think wormwood is a B tier simply because of his better farming.

As a Warly main i feel aggrieved by this video.
Same, but not being able to heal by Pierogi is still a pain I gotta say. After playing Warly for a LONG time in pubs, then going solo with wilson, and realising I can ACTUALLY just eat jerky forever with no penalty, goddamn. Though I still love Warly, his attitude and quotes, his support playstyle, big fan.

@@candy-ass4915 I honestly never had a problem with his food diet and healing. I even prefer making variety of dishes instead of just eating meatballs and pierogi whole game.
As to healing in my opinion its also not that bad. If you know the game well you rarely get hit. There is also a lot of other dishes that gives a lot hp like
Trail-mix, butter muffin, fish sticks or beefy greens there are all preety easy to make and gives quite a lot of health. The only time where I don't like this downside is with bosses. Most of normal mobs are easy to kite but bosses I rarely beat without taking at least taking few hits.
@@ChiefSuperIntendedBacon Oh definitely. One of the main reasons I play Warly is just so I don't constantly eat Meatballs (though eating 2x Meatballs + Meaty Stew will mean his hunger remains perfectly manageable if you wait for memory). And I still have to start focusing on honey farms for honey poultice (a great healing method for everyone but Wanda). Generally using Honey Poultice for bosses, and healing foods for everything else, will make the health situation for him perfectly manageable.

Woodlegs is insanely strong due to lucky hat and cannon making endgame items able to be obtained way earlier and making things that shouldn’t be renewable renewable

Hey slasher a response to your tier rating for wilba, she is mostly a A tier during early game. It really depends on the DLC. if she's in shipwrecked she isn't that good, If she is in Hamlet she can make it to any part of the map in 2 days. If you rush the dungeons, she is really good for scouting the dungeon. and can EASILY Break all the Pots. But Her usefulness dies off in mid game when you finish scouting all the dungeons. and the hamlets aren't good mid game since you will have a sapling and a grass farm up so the pigs giving you basic materials isn't that useful. She is really good at fighting. Her Wereform is useful for kiting bishops and other ranged enemies and can really help when you get poisoned Only flaw she really has is the huge amount of food you need to scarf down.
With Warly, I found it best to stock up on alternative healing. Mostly Jellybeans, Healing Salves, and Healing Poultices. But they all have their downsides. He really is best used on a server with multiple teammates. So much suffering in solo play.
as a wickerbottom main i think she should be at the bottom of a teir only for the fact that she doesn’t have to make a science machine to make backpacks which makes her a beast early game

(mostly :P ) i love your content slasher and i love your different views from many character wise but this video made me want to do a tier list myself with my reasons for my characters since i strongly disagrea with most of what you said. As a webber main, your rating of him is actually fair. As a UTILITY character solely he is most certainly s tier. Infinite meatballs year round along with cheap healing items and silk for crafts is so much help to a group. I have fed entire servers solo with my mass cannibalism diet. But overall? Spiders still kinda blow in terms of an army, requiring a lot of resources to set up for not a lot of help, but nurse spiders are still amazing. The rework helped with control over spiders, but again it mostly helps in farming them rather than in fights. So he isn't a combat powerhouse that can nuke bosses easily, but if you have a good one in your server, your survival is so much easier. Top of A tier is fair.
Idk man, aeo bosses can be trouble but Nurse Spiders in helmets can actually do alright against them. Give enough Nurse Spiders helmets, and killing bosses like Dragonfly with little to no deaths is realistic. And Spitter Spiders are underrated, a firing squad of Spitters can just decimate certain enemy mobs without them even getting close. Put them on an offshore boat and you don't even have to worry about anything other than Hounds hurting them.

Wagstaff is sus and i hate it lmao. But the tierlist is accurate, and i appriciate that you didnt put warly and wormwood to F just because of their downside. Someone else did that ("Warly is really garbage in singleplayer" and "Wormwood cant recieve healing, so hes basically screwed") and it was real bullcrap in my opinion.
I have no Idea why but just the start of the video had me rolling.
As a wormwood main, I believe he should be higher than c, although foods not healing him is annoying, he can use glommer goop, manure, rot, guano and so many random things you don’t need, he doesn’t loose sanity from glommer goop but I’ve never tried it on other characters so idk if that’s just something special he can do, the fact he can plant anywhere is also great. He has an extremely easy sanity gain as well. With a wormwood in your server, you can easily get a full set of gear, football helmet, bramble husk, and ham bat, but that’s just my opinion.

I liked the video, personally I would put Webber in S tier simply because of how brain dead easy he can make fighting bosses like dragonfly and Klaus, all in exchange for a little preparation which (most of the time if the spiders survive) you can use for another boss Fight later on
And then the spiders gets 2-3 shot by bosses with AoE

Okay okay but hear me out why wendy is s tier; she can put abigail on auto aggro who will then instantly kill all moleworms on sight as well as blender all other trash mobs. Combined the twins can easily spank dfly and beequeen both within the first 20 days. Plus playing solo you at least have a ghost sister to keep you company and if you want to have a pet ghost consider adopting a pipspook
Deep in our hearts we all know Wes is a god in solo or multiplayer
I'd switch Wendy and Walter - ultimately Walter's sanity penalties make him rough to play if you're not experienced with the game (I know he was intended as the noob character! Not sure it helps!), while Wendy is just...pretty consistently good at food gathering and mob managing

i disagree he should be way higher basing a character because of your lack of skill doesn't make much sense and promotes low skill floor characters to be top dogs when that isn't the case
@@dextops702 Multiple skill levels need to be considered. A fantastic player can work with any character no matter what.
I'll put it this way: Walter's skills don't allow for any specialty that characters that share his rank in this video allow. His ranged attack is not particularly great, his upsides are all over the place, and his downsides are also all over the place in some pretty weird ways. I played him for months when I first got back into dst after a years long break - I enjoyed him! He's a fun character to play! But he doesn't have much in the way that makes him unique, or strategies that apply specifically to him that don't work with other characters, *maybe* with the exception of marble rounds on a beefalo.
Wendy involves different planning and strategy, but you can get a *lot* out of her when you do. Her upsides and downsides are pretty consistent. She's someone that has a good niche she can fill.
If I were rating them on just ability to fight bosses, I'd probably put them on equal level - she does less damage, but Walter gets overwhelmed rapidly if he gets hit once. Walter is a more punishing character than Wendy, but unlike Wanda, he doesn't have enough to make it for it.
@@lonelyaura your first claim is iffy his slingshot is garbage and should never be used but he starts with the single best speed boost out of any character and it also doesn’t get outclassed by beefalo later on like all other character speed boosts do putting Walter in top tier for early game Wendy is good but she’s good in mob control where it’s biggest use is killing a lot of spiders which 1 for monster meat you don’t really need much I’ve seen and bee boxes are a lot better way of doing it but Wendy is the best at it where she has a low skill ceiling and I don’t get your last point ranking characters on fighting ability and using it as a general ranking for everything is really bad since it’s a pretty small part of the game where it is important and Wendy is better than Walter since Walter plays like any other character

As for the last part, I said *if* I'm ranking them by boss fights, which I am not exclusively, given that I gave a *different scenario* than the one I argued for in my first comment.
I feel like Wolfgang should be a little higher because of his ability to lob dumbbells. It makes it so much easier to get morsels during winter via rabbits and birds. And for the fact he doesn't need to eat an entire god damn fridge just to become mighty anymore.
While I know that technically her farm growing perks are considered to be nerfed, I dont think it rly changed anything since crops have been completely changed around too, so Thickerbottom for me is STILL an S tier character (from the immediate access to tier 1 science, to only requiring 1 gold for tier 2 science, to her ability to allow easy fast basing, to her Android overcharging chadness, to her control over resource growth, to queen bee tentacle cheesing, to krampus sack farming, to her blowdart type amassing capabilities, to her high sanity stats, to her complete lack of impactful cons, all the way to her very well balanced worth through every stage of gameplay, both as a singleplayer character or as a team member... to me, shes absolute perfection)

And the cons of sleep and food are rather just annoying at most
nah, even with the Volcanology Book in SW, her abilities are just not totally necessary in the long run

As a webber main, I am happy with him in A tier. Honestly the Webber rework rekindled my love for playing the character, and I have no interest in any other character, except for wurt because wurt hates racist pigs so shes pretty cool.

Happy new year
So I've been playing as walani and managed to survive a long time but whenever I play as her my luck is strange with slot machine and treasure, also when ever I play a different character in shipwrecked most of the stuff that helps or buff the character are in less supplies
Also walani is only useful for the first couple of days
Also I heard that not only walani sanity goes down slower but goes up slower but I'm not sure
And while playing as walani, I always had trouble with her hunger drain most of the time because in the world that load me in food was a trouble to get, and her health doesn't help for getting stingers, hunting food on land, cutting trees and dealing with snakes or coconuts, and poison is hell to deal with especially on monsoon season
But at least when you examine mosquitos as walani she doesn't like them and so am I, also I had to use the slot machine while on monsoon and that was a bad idea due to mosquitoes from the slot machine and from the flooding from the rain and died once but at least I had a touch

I guess wormwood after giant crops rework is SS tier because in pro's hand, he can turn any server into a freaking farming simulator (stardew valley)and make teammates almost unyielding. Roasted potatoes, roasted tomatoes, dragon pies everyday with literally some consumption of hammering giants. Living logs fill the box, (infinite dark swords) traps good for bossfight heal with rots and useless gazno.
