    Appreciate the video … I’ve been using Hotshots for a while now … it probably was doing a good job at lubricating the CP4 …. Nothing changed at all on mpg….. A friend of mine told me about Archoil …. I did the same package in video …. Been using it now for about 2 months … Have 60 gallon tank as well … that is definitely one of my best add ons to my 2015 6.7 F250 lol…. Anyway … Absolutely Love the Archoil ….. I’m on road a lot to Windrock from South Carolina … mpg went from 16.3 to 19.2 …. Using the Ar6300 for winter months and the Ar6500 other months …. It worked for me … it is a little higher but I’ll pay it. Thanks for the video.

    Hey ARod. I've used both Archoil and Stanadyne Performance additive at every fill-up on my 2020 6.7. I started with and mostly stuck with Stanadyne until about a year ago when I tried Archoil after watching some of Bill's videos on it. I agree and think it did improve my mileage a little and did feel like it affected/extended the regen. It is hard to say for sure but I honestly believe I noticed a slight improvement and I was running the minimum mixture not the Power Boost. I need to order some more so will used your code.

    I’ll keep running hotshots. Use the edt and lx4 every tank and every oil change it gets a diesel extreme dose. Every other oil change it gets fr3 and stiction eliminator. Can’t go wrong. Hotshot had the best lubricity testing so I’ll keep it up.

    • @midwestcampingfamily
      @midwestcampingfamily 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You know you're not supposed to use any other additives when using their stiction eliminator? It also already has fr3 in it so you're using too much of that if you are adding more.

    Been running OptiLube XL and my CP4 is at 158k miles now. I intend on adding the disaster prevention kit, but when I considered changing it was to XL4 Lubricity, and I was discouraged across multiple sites, studies, and forums from using products with alcohol in them. I ordered both today. I have a 2017 F350 75k miles, and the 60 gal S&B. I have never used any fuel additives or cleaner. Can I use both the Fuel System Cleaner and the Treatment at the same time. or should I use the cleaner, and burn through most of the tank and then start using the Treatment on my next tank? Is it all right to use the System cleaner in 55 gal of fuel or should I use some of my fuel up first so that the cleaner is diluted less?

    Arod, I keep telling you these products used correctly, has kept my 09 6.4l Running exclellent. Shes almost at 145K and 15.5mpg highway, in town, just think of a number...lol Oh, btw, clean out your fuel rail conditioning module pump. get all that debris and gunk out, and use Motocraft filter with the membraine, Deleteted, egrs still in place, straight piped, and a genuine MiniMaxx tuner, I keep it in the tow mode, on the tuner, and thats the sweet spot. All other gauges, defuel ect. are monitored and correct. I Just got lucky with this Truck....

    Amsoil and Hotshots beat that juice in ASTM testing. There is a reason Banks Corp flys a Amsoil banner. Your fuel economy is up because of the winter blend and any cetane booze helps that and soot but people concerned about a CP4 should be most worried about an additives ability to prevent wear scar. That where the ASTM tests prove out the results

    I read a TSB through Ford that said that the 6.7L super dutie platforms will regen every 500 miles regardless. Is this true?

    • @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod
      @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Regen happens due to many factors. The rule of thumb here is, the more fuel that is ran thru that engine, will depict how often it will regen. You tow.....you gonna be drinkin DEF & regenin' like crazy.

    • @Lion85X
      @Lion85X 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is understandable. The other reason that I mentioned that was I was working on a shop where I was the only diesel/ equipment mechanic there and I the only trucks that I would work on happily were the 7.3L, 6.0L, and the 5.9L platforms. My boss wanted to start bringing in the newer trucks and decided to have me watch a Ford 6.7L technician training videos and when it came to the after treatment portion of the course that part was strangely the one thing that stuck out the most. Primarily because of the fact that we had random customers that had quite a few problems with their after treatment systems. One of the biggest things that we had problems with was that customers wouldn't really let their trucks regen and when the truck started to reach in they would get to wherever they were trying to go to and just shut their truck off, causing their DPF system to clog and therefore go into derate.

    • @Lion85X
      @Lion85X 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So we really never had any problems with the temperature probes or the diesel exhaust fluid injectors or anything of nature. I live in Arizona and strangely enough the people who tow never really came in for after treatment issues. The majority of our customers that came in with after treatment issues were the ones who built their trucks as mall cruisers.

    Did you say you saw 1mpg gain? On one tank? I can see that with taking a different route to work. Doing 60 not 71mph. I think you need a better comparison, do it without for 10,000 and with for 10,000 miles. Less likely to go be the same.
