Wrapped watching this last night. Let me just say, be prepared to hate Paul Rudd and love him at the same time. Wonderful piece of cinema.
I was kinda disturbed by how I was feeling about Paul Rudd’s character watching this. I mean, Jesus, I love Paul Rudd! The dude just oozes charisma in everything. And then he plays this manipulative scumbag and you’re just like….😧
If they don’t win Academy Awards for this series ,
I’ll be shocked and angered.
Watching this every week -and ,by the way,
I can’t wait for Fridays to get here as I eat it up and watch it from the beginning to the end while I’m on an exercise machine-
makes me kind of uncomfortable because I feel like I am a fly on the wall, I have had therapists who have manipulated me and tried to have sex with me
so I totally understand how he was manipulated.
I’ve never received any love.
I know that he did receive love from his parents maybe he was protected too much that’s why he couldn’t make good decisions and why he cut off his sister. 😞
it’s almost like they metamorphasize into these people
it’s hard to think of them as Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd.

i am watching this series and this is so realistic.
I turn on the show, I become a big fan. I then realize, I was in the show myself. I played young Joel, the son of Katherine in the show. It's funny really lol
OMG Paul Rudd's performance playing this diabolical character is amazing and disturbing...wow!
This story sounds a lot like Brian Wilson (of the Beach Boys) and his former psychiatrist Eugene Landy who was stripped of his license because of the manipulation & abuse he inflicted on Wilson. Crazy how some people can abuse their position for their own selfish purposes. Definite sociopaths - oh the irony!
