My LS1 hydrolocked so I got an HP ATK 5.3 long block Comp hr 265 cammed with P/P 243 heads, upgraded the injectors and a decent tune with the OG LS1 intake and Long Tubes, it is now way quicker than the stock LS1 was by far, and the whole swap cost less than a stock replacement aluminum LS1 long block.

Lt1 still got it
Yeah that lt1 was pretty good tbh it was fun
I’m wondering if that 5.3 has a tune?
Yeah me 2 I don’t think that LT1 was Stock Either
why swap the 5.7 for a 5.3 if you're not boing to use force induction? Even then the ls1 can handle some pretty decent boost
The previous owner had blown the ls1 and swapped it for a 5.3 and it’s a really common swap to do in these cars just like doing the 4.8,6.0 ect
the same reason i gotta swap my b4c blown engine and lack of money. if this guy swaps a ls1 cam in there should do better.
$$$$
What trans?
At that time it had a 4l60 it now has a th400
Truck v8s are just better
Which is which
Looks like LT1 is the winner. It’s the car that it came in. The other is a LS1 car
@@ThatBloodshotJK how does a lt1 beat an ls1
LT1 with little upgrades can compete with a 6.2
@@5lickpimpin my LT1 tuned with a couple bolt ons beat a c5 corvette, rolled from 30 to 100 and I stayed ahead the whole time
@@5lickpimpin My cam and heads lt1 is pretty damn quick. Stock the LS1 was a mid to low 13 second car in the F bodies.
