I grew up eating traditional home cooked chinese food and frequently cook it for my family now. This is by far the best youtube channel I've seen regarding chinese recipes! Your channel is a blessing for us home cooks. I have a bookmark folder specifically for your recipes. Please tell me you have a cookbook floating around out there! I am a fan!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Coral Mania ❤️❤️❤️ We are so happy to hear you love our recipes and find them helpful! We hope to have our own cookbook too but we’ve been dragging our feet because we’re worried that they will be stuck on the shelf 😝😝😝 Thanks so much for your encouragement and support 😊
I've had this in msia long ago but the noodles were white without the soy sauce. Was so fragrant n delicious. It also had some sort of crunchy fried pork fat or something
Hi Rhoff! Thanks so much for watching our video. You can replace fishcake with any seafood like calamari, clams etc. fishcake doesn’t impact the taste of this. They are basically protein filler for the dish so yes, you can use white fish too. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!
Shief first thank you so much for your recipe I wasn't know it's looking so so good 👍 just one question from where this recipe { any City in chains} because I know almost recipes added eggs to dishes meals} 😍🥰😋🤩🧑🍳🤤 you make me so hungry too
Wow, thanks for the recipe! I personally love shrimps. However, my kids are allergic to shrimps😢 Is there another substitute to make the soup without shrimps?
This must be the SEA version. In Canada, there is a large HK population. It is served with the shrimp and egg gravy. Less watery, no pork or fish cake. There is no dark soy with the noodles. It is a light meal.
Hi Selen. It’s important to make sure that you fry the heads long enough. You can add more ginger to get rid of the fishy taste too. Also using fresh prawn heads will help as well.
I tried cooking it today. Personally prefer a bit less dark sauce so I put less but otherwise it turned out great. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
That’s fast. Thanks so much for using our recipe, Lyla! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 glad to know that you enjoyed this recipe.

In US we call it Hor-Fun with scrambled egg. Usually with prawns & a sprinkling of green onions. Less liquid, no dark sauce & more egg . Very popular
