Naruto’s relationship with Jiraiya is more than mentor and student. It’s like father and son. The Legendary Sannin each mentored one member of Team 7. Jiraiya had Naruto, Orochimaru had Sasuke, and Tsunade had Sakura. But I can’t help but wonder what it would have been like for each to train under all three at the same time. Particularly Naruto. How could this have changed things? I suppose there is only one way to figure this out. Let’s get into it.

You made me care about Sakura and her death. The only issue I had was the complete lack of any attention on Kakashi. I understand it was focused around the Sannin but Iruka and Kakashi both played major roles in the characters lives and Iruka 100% would have had more influence on Sasuke and Sakura this time around. Kakashi is an extremely important part to Obito’s character arc and his defeat and ultimately his sacrifice lose almost all of its weight here because of that. The scene where Obito breaks after the loss of Rin is powerful and helps you understand him more than anything else.
I give this an 8/10.
While I understand the time constraints, I also felt a lot was missing from other ninjas like Gai and Azuma, or even the other kids like Lee and Neji. Last we heard of those two was during the chuunin exam. It's like all those characters suddenly don't exist anymore, which is weird to me since they play major roles in the series, and would definitely not stand around idly letting others do all the heavy lifting. The video was clearly making Team 7 (minus Kakashi) and the Sannin the sole focus of the story, and in turn it leads to a sense of an empty world, where the only people that matter are them and the antagonist of the moment. The ending also seemed rushed, and the whole point of having Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke trained by the Sannin should have been that they'd be more powerful and mature than in the original series. Instead, they seem weaker and the story can only be saved by a stroke of "power of love" which barely makes sense. I'd give it a 7/10 at best

This was so good! Honestly so much i wish it was another of the anime, like an au or an adaption, seriously this was really well written! But i Honestly thought you would completely kill off naruto, I'm so glad you found a way to bring him and Sakura back to life at the end, The thought of Sasuke being all alone after finally wanting to stay with people he loved, unlike the original, just to be lose everything again a third time just felt so sad😭, But you really did amazing work with this!
