You can be on methadone as long as you need, doctors usually recommend a year to 2 years plus. I feel so bad for this little girl she dosnt need to be looking into this type of stuff.
This story is identical to the relationship I had with my father. After years of giving him chances, I cut him off at 17 and I’ve been happy ever since. These people don’t change, they will always put themselves first.
This is completely heartbreaking. This poor girl has become a body of stress all because of the adults in her life and it's tragic to say the least. They have taken away her childhood. Please help her Dr. Phil! She said soooo valuable and I pray for her to have some relief and joy! The parents are all disgusting!!
Wow these “adults” are just grown children, grown unstable children raising children 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ wtf! I hate when children go through CPS and the foster system bc this system also fails the children but when you see two unstable parents it’s just a disaster and then they use they’re children as pawns and it’s so disgusting!

I raised my parents would have made quite a episode of Dr. Phil ....she's 12 going on 25 what is incredible is when we are in those very delicate teen years and know what is going on around you is wrong but in my case no one would listen to me because I was a minor but was already more grown than both of my parents at age 14 ....Thank you Dr. Phil for helping this family ...God bless this girl her siblings and her parents recovery.
Methadone is often used in long-term drug addiction management. I used to work at a pharmacy that had a methadone treatment program, some people were on it for years and years. Drug addiction is horrific and I feel so bad for this entire family.
Fk sake angers me so much. These poor kids. I was in a similar situation and still kind of am but only with one parent. That poor girl. I hope she gets support from other areas and gets away from that as soon as she's am adult and lives a happy life. X

as an almost 15 year old who has gone through scary identical problems with my father, it hurts to see a girl younger then me going through this

She shouldn't be researching these meds. Your supposed to be on methadone for 5 years tops to stop addiction. Only months you'll be back relapsing.
