Thanks - nice setup on OTX ! I am still worried on my part - controlling altitude on descent with throttle is pretty standard - BUT - it will require a lot of mental preparation NOT to use Elevator stick in flight (especially in turns - but just for flare) .. P.S. I am considering to put left and right brake controls on left stick also - did something similar before - needed to retrain my left thumb (for proper Rudder use) after flying with one "yank and bank" model for long time .. Then only full brake/flare will be on right stick - might be a little easier to adapt - still undecided on this - what do you think? Very excited about this gadget - I thought I already saw most of it - love the RC modeling!
Just assign the elevator so it's only active with a switch. When flying around disable elevator brake Completely and when you want to land just hit the switch on approach and use you elevator to flare. That's how I'm going to set mine up. At least until I get used to flying it
I have just set up my HK Paramotor using a Spektrum TX and a servo-mixer between the RX and servos. I decided to put 70% expo on the Elevator function so that the brake effect will not come in unless you really haul back. Still waiting for decent weather to maiden.

I'm not an OpenTx user, but from what I understood about the mixes shown it appears that you will have no turning ability when at full flare (i.e. full back on the elevator stick). I'm trying to get my head around this so I can finish my tentative mixes in a Spektrum Tx.

Hi lee.. Can you tell me why iv got two different servo motions..? My left brake(servo) is a full movement,as you explained in your set up vid..! the tip just above the flybar,and pull on the break and it pulls down to the lipo horizontal, which is correct! But my left servo does'nt seem to have the same movement length..iv tried trimming but all that does is trim!! Not extend the motion?

Painless360 I’m having problems trying to work this out,I think I flashed my Q7 so I could get D16 for my other crafts a year or so ago with the X4r receivers...and the new X4r is LBT,But I cant get the thing to bind :-(
Hi I'm using 2.2.4 Companion and I can make no sense of your set up I can do the curves but upon going to mixes it turns to worms I go from a four channel to a three channel setup???
@@Painless360 Exactly that makes two of us at least I did actually see my mistake I expected the details in the mixer part to change as a factor of doing the curves. it has taken some 6 hours for me to realise that I had to put the numbers in etc. Forgive me but I follow instructions to the letter and I am not good at seeing the obvious especially when to me it's not. I was trained as an instructor and it was made very plain to me that just because some one has for example a screwdriver in his or her hand doesn't mean they know what it is or indeed for. I am now enjoying a single malt basking in the warm glow of success cheers. oops TX is a Taranis Plus and with respect you do not say put in the percentages required you do say we have 100% to me that means it was magic

So sorry to bother you again. I tried to follow your linked video, but you opened i file from the 1st radio, and copied it to the 2nd radio. Not opened a .otx file from the computer that will not highlight. But after trying for two weeks on and off, i still can’t open your .otx file in companion. Your .otx file downloaded and saved to my computer. Open companion is running on computer. My taranis is connected to computer. I can read my models direct from taranis ok. If i try to, restore from backup, open, drag, copy and past to the next available model in my model list on the screen, it won’t let me. If i try any of the above in companion, it won’t let me open the file because the .otx file is not highlighted, it can only open extensions ,eepe, bin, hex files. Not .otx files. Please help. Very frustrated now. Just can’t do it. Thanks, Keith.
I have set mine up now and as you am waiting for a decent day to test fly. One thing that I would like to raise is, I was struggling with the 3 curves on my jr12x and gave up. I set the model as delta and just turned the travel adjustments down to zero and It now works no differently to using curves and a lot simpler to set up. I'm only raising this as I don't want to be caught out by something ?

yes there is , but you better be a good pilot, first fail takeoff and the 3D print will shatter.
$160 is the cheapest I've seen compared to the others that start at 400 to $900

That's correct. That's how it is on a full sized version - brake lines do both. There is more travel than you need so you'll be fine

No idea. I'd swap the servo connections over to rule out the radio, setup and Rx.. best of luck!

D16 but you'll need to make sure it has the same firmware as the radio (LBT or international)..
