What a boring season. Even the contestants looked bored. BIP Canada was a lot more entertaining... better dates and fun games. They didn't just sit around moping all day.

If you had told me just a couple of episodes that at the end Kat and John Henry would be this season's success story and Olivia would end up being the person I liked the most out of this cast, I wouldn't believe it at all.

Honestly, kat having a troubled childhood ,and spending time in a group home makes a lot of sense. Girl has baggage and could benefit from some therapy, and selfcare she struggles hard when things doing go according to plan. I hope she finds healing.
Yeah, it makes total sense. She’s extremely insecure. Definitely needs to work on herself before she gets married or she’ll put too much pressure on John Henry to make her happy. True happiness comes from within 🥰
I think this format was not good for her. It looks like she has great friends from the franchise so obviously she is not a horrible person, but the cameras, producer manipulation and lack of control can do this to a person

Amen! This season felt so hollow: no excitement, no heartstrings, no fun, nobody to root for.
I literally started watching paradise at season 7 so I ruined it for myself. I was like wow this is so addicting, now this season I'm like ugh what can I look at on my phone while this boring show plays in the background.

I'm not shocked that eliza, and Aaron are hitting bumps post paradise. She's built her entire personality around a baby voice, and acting like she's unsure of everything all the time. And Aaron thinks the most important part of a lifelong relationship is knowing what your person likes to eat for breakfast cause he's mentioned it no less than 5 times over the course of the season mess.
Hahahahaha! Her breakfast order is apparently the one thing she IS sure of!

Engagement is something, personally, that I feel is something that should be taken really seriously. And not rushed or forced. I feel like the fact that he didn't want to do it without feeling they were ready for that showed he took their relationship seriously.
She just wants a TV engagement. She may not care much if it's real.

The problem with this year was there is too many immature people. An engagement is something leading into a lifetime. Avis lake watching a bunch of high school students fighting over who who's with who who's getting engaged,. It was a waste and totally ridiculous.
Kylee said that Aven was there(wanted to get engaged) to Rachel. She is incorrect. Aven didn't want to get engaged to Rachel. He wasn't there yet and he still is not there with Kylee. He basically had the same conversation with Rachel that he had with Kylee. Rachel stuck to her guns of wanting to be engaged and that is why they broke up.

Blake has 3 sisters and a mom and grew up the boy, so he’s excellent at girl talk and emotional validation, while also having that objective viewpoint that guys are really good at. He was her person she would go to for advice. And she was super sad when he left. But ya, funny how she said it and then he was brought back for the wedding. Could have been coincidental or intentional from production. 😄

I couldn’t have imagined a month ago that Kat would be in the most successful relationship of Paradise. That sums up the season.
If she wants to end that generational trauma she should probably let a therapist watch this season and talk about it. If something doesn’t go right does she always start screaming and treating people like crap? Not good.

Seriously though, in re: Brayden and Christina Mandrell I'm really glad it played out how it did, offscreen, because we are constantly dogging on single parents who come on this show and abandon their kids. She stayed home with her daughter and still got her man!

Honestly, I think they have a better chance of succeeding as a couple because it played out off the show. My excitement when they announced it at the end of the show is the most I have cared about anything I have watched this season😆

I see a trend with Kylee just doing what the producers want. She asked Blake to stay because they told her to. And now she's all fired up about the engagement, like they always want.

I just watch his recaps! I tried watching the 2h long episode once & it wasn't worth it at all, the parts bachelor fantake recaps are great & I don't feel like I'm missing anything by not actually watching the show!
Kylee has so much more maturing to do if she thinks locking down an engagement after only a few weeks is necessary to prove that she and Aven will work outside of Paradise and that they are meant to be. She still has to learn how to listen as well as comprehend when communicating with her partner instead of looking at things with tunnel vision. Her immaturity really shone this episode.
I agree. She came across as extremely immature. Maybe she's a really smart person, but it certainly didn't show in this episode.

From what it seems becca ,and thomas are super happy ,and in a truly healthy, and a great relationship they dont need BIP and that whole world anymore, so i say good for them.

I mean i wouldnt say that was a good paradise season, the Christina drama with Dean was terribly draining and Caelynn went through so much the poor thing. But yeah that makes it all so much better knowing they took the time to make it work and both compromised in their ways and learned and finally decided to go through with it. One of the couples ive ever been most happy for ❤

I feel like Kylee either got a bad edit or really got some perspective when the cameras were off because wanting an engagement when someone is reluctant to propose is NUTTY.

I saw a theory that Kylie and Aven have been talking for a long time outside of paradise like at least a year. So to her he should be proposing by now. It's the only thing that makes sense to me otherwise she's really young and showing that she's not ready for marriage let alone an engagement.

Rachel was not understanding of Aven either. I don't understand what these women aren't getting? It makes sense to get to know each other in the real world before getting engaged. Aven is right.

This is the first of these recaps I've watched in a long time and man this show is something else. How one can hear their relationship partner of 3 weeks demand an engagement the next day and think "yeah, this is someone that truly cares about me and will be a pleasure to experience life with" is beyond me.
I just got back from a long trip and watched the last five recaps... boy I am so grateful for this channel! Saved me watching a really lame season. Thank you for the good work you do. I salute you.
To be honest... Kat and Jon Henry are ADORABLE together. I didn't expect it (I don't even think they did) but it seems to work and I love that for them. Everyone deserves love and I'm glad they seem to have genuinely found that in each other

Kylee is so immature. Just because you fantasized having a ring by the end of it, doesn’t automatically mean Aven should just forget his reality that he’s not ready for it? It’s very reasonable to want to explore the real world together before getting engaged. Glad Aven didn’t fall for that.

The Preview of this season had me thinking this would be a toned-down version of last season with the drama and all. But it was the complete opposite of what I wanted. But see the ending, was a letdown. All our favorite couples broke up and the ones who stayed together like Aaron and Eliza, are in a rough patch and John Henry and Kat still engaged, which was disappointing. Especially with how Kat was trying everyone on the beach, I wanted to have a live renuion to be able to address how she was portrayed.
I just wanted to bring everyone's attention to the description of the video - I laughed so hard!
Gotta be honest, I lost interest a few episodes in. But you're recap is great, I don't feel I missed anything. Season 7 was Gold and hopefully they can bring that magic back to Season 10.

Update: I skipped the eight-minute left at the end due to not wanting to re-live the season. Found out from IG about Brayden and Christina and honestly... I mean they kind of make sense personality wise.

I disagree that she is immature. I would say Olivia is a bit blind to the actions of men. I just think she needs more experience in relationships. She at least needs to experience a long-term relationship. I think you can tell as a viewer that she isn't privy to what men are actually showing her through their actions. Do I believe she is capable of being in a long term relationship, yes, but she still has an unrealistic view on what a relationship really is in some sense. I really was disappointed that she didn't stick it out with Peter because he seemed very interested in her and genuine.

I thought I had blinked at the wrong time and missed the Becca and Thomas nod at the end. I was so sure I missed it that I was going to replay that last couple of minutes tonight.
Also Kylee was so ridiculous trying to extort an engagement from Aven! Or do they get a significant bonus if they get a ring?
Blake was the best part of the season for me, but I definitely wasn't crazy about Jess for him. And it was so rude of them to say he would be waiting to be Golden Bachelor.
And I know Golden Bachelor was on a different recap, but I have to say it's awful how production did their typical edit to make us all believe that he was going to pick Leslie all along and nope, he picks Theresa with hardly any footage that endeared her to the audience.

BF and I, just sharing a brain on this one. I was so over the falsehood of the "wedding", I just fell right asleep during the reception. Producers could at least respect us enough to not make things so fake.. A 25 year-old bellyaching about not being proposed to after 2 months was really just annoying the crap out of me.

Can we PLEASE have a relationship therapist on this show. PLEASE. They all seem to be emotionally immature and the therapist’s advice would be better than another unstable 20-year-old’s advice. I just want them to find love 😢
It's bc the producers keep casting immature wannabe influencers.
Which is absolutely fine for other shows but I hold out hope for the bachelor franchise to try and go back to the original premise of the show. "Real" people who are genuinely ready to begin the next chapter of their lives.
As a therapist myself, I've been saying this for years. It doesn't even have to be in front of the scenes, but behind or in an ITM, but not a way to exploit trauma but encourage them to be more eloquent.
Terrible season. The look back at former couples who met on the beach but are now married with kids reminded me how the earlier couples were just so much better and more compelling! Dean coming back for Caelynn was probably the best scene and couple exit on BIP ever! So excited to see them married, along with all the other happy couples. Have a bad feeling we won't get marriages from this or last year's season BIP.
