Thank you. Yours was the 1st site that finally gave a free pattern with no strings attached. So I gave you a thumbs up and subscribed to your site. Well done is better than well said. You have done well.
Hi Joselyn. Thank you for your question. I used a quilt batting that is already prewashed. When you go to buy your filling it will say on the packaging if it is prewashed. And if you use a polyester filling than you don’t prewash.
You are very smart to sew on Velcro. I tried those clips you hammer on. I was all finished and thought I would try to see how safe they were. I used my finger nail and every single one came off. I couldn't believe it. How unsafe is that?
Yes, sometimes the snaps work and sometimes they don’t. I used to make my bibs with the bias tape going all the way around the edge leaving enough on the ends to tie in a bow. That works well too and leaves more room for adjustment for different size necks. Best to be safe for sure.
Very nice, thank you. Did you use flannel or cotton for the outside pieces? Also, if you use cotton batting and cotton material for the outside, did you prewash your cotton batting? If not, wouldn't it shrink more because you preshrunk your outside fabric?
I prefer using cotton but you could use flannel as well. I do prewash the outer fabrics. I have used many different fillers. If I use polyester filling than I can just cut and use. Sometimes I buy a cotton filling for quilting that states you do not have to prewash. That way you don't have to worry about one layer shrinking more than others. I have also used prewashed terry towling for the inside layer as well as the outside layer if I am not making a reversible bib.
I just made this bib, but I feel the neck hole is too small. I'm going to have to change the pattern to allow for a bigger neck allowance. And yes, I printed at 100% and followed all the directions exactly. Otherwise, the bib looks really cute.
Yes, baby’s neck can sometimes be very short so hard to tell if it fits or not. But I here ya. I used to make bibs with the double bias tape going around the edge and extra on the ends for ties.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts Since I don't have a baby (I am making this for my pregnant niece), I was just going on visual judgement. But I think it will end up being fine....I asked my son to measure the hole of his baby's bibs and we seem to have similar sizing. So, fingers crossed! Thanks so much!
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts An update on this...my niece just texted me and said this bib is her favorite and could I make her six more? Just wanted you to know....and thanks for this video!

Very cute and the fabric is adorable, can they be use for toddlers? Thanks in advance
Yes, they are great for toddlers as well because they have some length to them.
Nice, what Is the price?
At this point in time I am not selling my homemade items.
