I honestly believe these guys will be the next HUGE metal band that everybody (metalhead or not) will have heard of. They've massive in Europe, they're very popular here in the UK and they're gaining popularity in North America at a very fast rate. And I enjoy them allot!

@@GhostlyPork Yea, it's my favourite too. One reason is that to hell and back is the first song i've ever heard from sabaton. Another reason is that the hero (lauri törni) they told about in "soldier of tree armies" was from my country, Finland.
I agree with this list. The Great War is borderline S and A to me. I may put it at A cause I don't think it is as good as Heroes and Carolus Rex, but it is still a banger. Also, bit of a personal bias since To Hell and Back is my favorite Sabaton song of all time (since it was the song that got me into Sabaton in the first place), and The Great War is the first ever album I have ever bought from any artist.
Man they were nobodies in America when i found them in 2009 my freshman year of high school and dude i used to play so much world of tanks to them and when Carolus Rex dropped i was blown away. Perfect album
Sabaton are a really dividing band among the fans. For us Europeans, they become one of the biggest metal bands at least 7-8 years ago, and of course at that time every second elitist started to hate them😅 I started to listen to their music around the time of the release of Coat of Arms, and that album along The Art of War are probably my two favourites. At the time I didn't really enjoy Carolus Rex, but loved Heroes 2 years later. And than we reached the period mentioned at the start of my comment. Around 2014 everyone listened to Sabaton here in Europe, even a lot of non metalheads and after a certain point, it was too much for me. And sadly that made me "drop out" of Sabaton for a few years- combined with the fact that I didn't really enjoy The Last Stand. Since than I got back, but the last 3 albums of the band seem a bit mehh for me. Quality music, but nothing new and I got sometimes a bit bored of them again and again. So from this perspective it was really surprising to see the newest one reaching S tier 🙃 Also Powerwolf are the same cup of tea for us Europeans, but they are a bit more entertaining (for me at least)- even if they also seem to release the same album over and over again.
S: Carolus Rex, The Art of War A: Heroes, Primo Victoria B: Great War, The War to End All Wars B-: Coat of Arms, Attero Dominatus C: The Last Stand, Metalizer ‘The War to End All Wars’ is a pretty enjoyable listen. “Stormtroopers” is my favorite song from the new album. “Lady of the Dark”, “The Valley of Death”, “Christmas Truce”, "Hellfighters" and “Soldier of Heaven” were among my other highlights too. The only ones I didn’t care for were “Race to the Sea” and “Versailles”. Other than that, it’s another solid offering from Sabaton. I give it a strong 8/10 🤘
One thing I love about Sabaton is how different everyone’s views are because personally The last stand is my favorite album along with Great War and heroes
I watched the race to the sea music video and hated it, but then I listened to the full album, and imo race to the sea is actually a really strong song imo.
Personally I love the incredibly melodic songs like ghost in the trenches which is by far my favourite song of sabaton and very likely of all time but sadly it’s often overlooked as a song. The “move between the lines” and “under fire” is hit perfectly by the singer

@@MetalTrenches It has a lot to do with the fact that their best songs are in that album. Lifetime of War, Gott Mit Uns, Carolus Rex, Carolean Prayer, etc. They are S tier simply because they have more S tier songs compared to all the other albums.
I couldn't even rank my favorite Sabaton albums, they don't have a bad one, or even a single bad track. My absolute favorite would have to be their newest War To End all Wars, it was the album that got me into metal. My first concert/tier makes it really special. See them live you wont regret it, they are amazing!!
I definitely love Sabaton for their love for history and put into it awesome, energetic Heavy Metal. My own rankings of Sabaton albums at this time: S - The Great War, The Art of War A - Coat of Arms, Carolus Rex, The Last Stand, Primo Victoria, The War to End All Wars B - Heroes, Attero Dominatus C - Metalizer
I've seen these guys live four times now and I can say that Sabaton is hands down one of the best bands to see live. They never disappoint. They bring the energy every second they're playing and have nice rapport with the audience as well. S tier band for sure.
A comment on the vocal performance for Metallizer, Joakim was trying out as the keyboardist but they had him do vocals until they found someone else. He didn't know how to sing, but did a hell of a good job with it and they never found another singer.
this is why Ill watch you and not that Finn guy. he treats fans of music he doesnt like in a degrading humiliating way making fun of them and acting like a bully, where as you keep and open mind and arent rude and nasty. so good job

just gotta say unbreakable is my fav off art of war ........ but i have a soft spot for the "metallica epics", ie slow/soft to heavy with epic finish also heroes is S tier and for the record 7734 is meant to be corny (hell updside down in a calcualtor) its another one of there throwback songs to cheesy metal of old. But the 1-2 combo that opens this album (night witches into no bullets fly) is hands down the best 2 hit combo in the discography
I personally would’ve switched the war to end all wars with the last stand (I know, big change). But other than that I wouldn’t have changed much. The Great War is definitely their best record yet imo.

I see Sabaton as one of the big ones like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, etc. On the one hand some way commercial, on the other hand really good

Great video. I've been listening to them since Carolus Rex and that will always be the #1 to me. Great rankings. I would swap Carolus and Great War and be pretty close to the same as you who is fairly new to them.
I disagree on the last stand. I think that the song the last stand and the lost battalion and winged hussars and most of the rest of the songs are A tier at least. Primo Victoria probably deserves S tier as well.

War is one of the most horrible things humans can do and if you listen to Sabaton, it sounds like WW1 was just a big party around the world. Also the guitars sound pretty boring (except for the solos) on the new singles. Nah, I will skip the new album and stick to bands like 1914, Hail of Bullets, Bolt Thrower etc.

May I recommend Blind Guardian - Imaginations From the Other Side (1995) & Nightfall In Middle-Earth (1998)?

I'll give their new album a few spins for sure. Maybe Sabaton is the best male fronted power metal for me. Not listened to them in 10 years maybe.
im sad that last stand was the lowest because honestly its my favourite album. Fave song is from the art of war tho which is ghost division

I cant quite explain it,but sabaton is more metal and heavy than goregrind,even without a single distorted vocal
The Last Stand not only being snubbed from its obvious top of S tier status, but being put in the bottom of C tier is truly an unforgivable crime

I think the last stand is the lowest point for sabaton. Hill 3234, Sparta and rorkes drift are the only stand out songs
