The officer scoffs outwardly, though internally he is begining to have flashbacks, and desperately pours over the reports, hoping he's wrong. Seeing that Nota Bene helped on this one makes me smile. That man is a true history fan. Thank you for asking his help for this one!
I like it was noted that he enlisted as a volunteer fireman after war. I'm a former volunteer too and was shocked to not have learned about him when I served. My former comrades should all be honoring him.
I think it's become a sort of custom to begin including the band members in the animated history videos for Sabaton's songs. I spotted Joakim in the trench at 3:08, I'm pretty sure that it was supposed to be Pär cleaning his rifle at 3:29, Chris and Hannes are standing side by side at 10:47, and as the camera pans on, Tommy is revealed to be standing next to Hannes, roughly at the 10:50 mark.
I saw that too and was going to post! 😀

@@JoeMama-hi2yr Unlikely. The Red Baron was a dogfighter, air to air combat.

@@JoeMama-hi2yr Dang! That's a good eye for detail you've got!
There is a French TH-camr called "l'Odieux Connard" (which would be translated to "Odious Douchebag".
He makes videos about military history, and he made a video about Albert Roche.
There are english subtitles for those who might be interested.
Anyway, this song is a masterpiece like every other Sabaton song.

Looks fine to me. But then again I always suck at English grammar.
Who would win?
A whole German Batalion

One Short French Boy
Lesson: never underestimate thr short french boy
Yarn hub models and animation has improved so much i also love these types of videos because it shows more of what happened
I love these history videos! Sabaton, you are the best!

I can't wait for the movie that's being made. This is a truly unearthly combination of talents!
what movie ?
@@Cancoillotteman they announced around december that, with the help of yarn hub, they will make a movie to tell all the histories of the songs they made about ww1.
@@amelia31289 Great !
Before captain America there was Albert.
AKA Captain France
Capitaine Francais
Thank you for highlighting forgotten heroes !
how many of these heroes remain unknown to the public? too much
thanks a lot from France ❤🔥
there's a channel dedicated to these unknown stories, from all nations (albeit with a humoristic take). No audio, only text in french, but subtittles available ;7
Le petit theatre des opérations, from Odieux Connard (yes, that's th channel name)
Helluva story. I'm not French, but this man has my respect.
Albert being killed in a car accident kind of felt like God's way of saying "You've done your duty and endured, time for a long rest, no need to endure the second hell that awaits."
These animated stories makes me wanna cry everytime i watch one of them. Its such a good job of portraying events that have been ''forgotten'' by history and by now, thanks to Sabaton's music and Yarnhub's animation and storytelling, will live on forever!
So a real Captain America story. Love the uppercut moves .
I have seen all of the Sabaton animated history videos so far. They even introduced me to my favorite Sabaton song, No Bullets Fly. But this is undeniably the best animated history video yet.
Had he lived, he would've been someone the French Resistance would have rallied behind without fear.
Bonjour Sabaton! German salutes to the French hero! Because we Germans and French are nowadays brothers, he's also a German hero for bravery. 😘♥ Merci Sabaton & Yarnhub!
@Wilhelm Eley Sounds like someone needs a snickers bar
@Wilhelm Eley That might explain some things then lol
@Wilhelm Eley Yeah and the Germans was the good guys during both Wold Wars
the fact that "le front" is in an official Sabaton video is hilarious. Love you guys so much.
In terms of "unknown stories", it's funny how you already make a much better "Battlefield 1" game than the game itself. You have already given us a Serbian Campaign with "Lady of the Dark", a French Campaign with "The First Soldier", or a Canadian Campaign with "A Ghost In The Trenches".
Ngl, this guys is like an irl Captain America, and I love it!!
I was stunned! May he rest in peace. How ironic the fact that he fought for years and died from a passing car...
Roche and Richard J Flaherty has taught me a very important life lesson, Your size doesn't matter
Belle animation et son incroyable! La France vous remercie.
Merci 🤟
@@Sabaton your partnership with Yarnhub is match mad in heaven.
I love your music and I'm hyped to go to your concert this year🤟
Hubaton is the best thing going in metal today. These videos NEVER disappoint. 🤘🏻
"Hubaton". Outstanding!!!!
This history videos are always absolutely amazing. A great opportunity to not only jam out but also learn
PLEASE do one for Hellfighters
You animated stories with yarnhub are so amazing. They are so interesting and captivating. I can't get enough. Thank you so much for putting so much effort into your songs and stories so that history will not be forgotten ❤️

@@kaelynshea5533 on count down, 19/2 in Göteborg, with daughter and son in law. Not the big arena you see in En Livstid i Krig, a smaller more club-like venue. Means I can get closer to them🤗

This is such an amazing story... glad it's being remembered.
UNbelivable. Not just the Animation, that looks better then ever, alos the story telling. Guys, very good work. I´m looking forward to see you in April in Frankfurt :)
This is amazing, thanks for the effort, but gotta be honest the french version with the original narrator had a special touch, still love both versions
Poor bloke to end that way but what a legend, mad respect for him
The most Respects to the first soldier 🥺 He deserves to be remembered as one of my favorite Soldiers of history Sad he would fall soo soon but I was wondering what killed him Google never gives you these answers Ty sabaton Rest In peace my soldier friend you will forever be remembered by me as the First Soldier and a legend In history ^^ Ty for your service tho I'm an American I thank all soldiers everywhere for what they do.
as far as i know long after the war he had, as a firefighter an ... encounter with a truck
after wich a certain austrian painter had his underlings check... multiple times that the albert roche that died was indeed THE ALBERT ROCHE
the line "one man holds the line" really sent chills down my spine
Bro if Albert survived and rejoined the army he would have been home by Christmas that absolute unit of a man
Imagine if he had lived long enough to participate in the Greater War; there's a German officer sitting in his bunker, older but not yet withered, looking at an inteligence list of positions lost and men captured.
He asks "how many crack companies have the French been keeping in reserve?"
His inteligence department reports most if not all the credit goes to one man. The officer scoffs outwardly, though internally he is begining to have flashbacks, and desperately pours over the reports, hoping he's wrong.
Then he sees a name, a very FAMILIAR name, and suddenly he's scrambling for the door, the nearest alcohol cabinet, or both, screaming "not zis glorious bastard again!"
If he was still alive he would’ve been a badass soldier
Thx sabayon !
Merci Ben !!
Superbe collab ! Merci à vous, d'avoir produit tout ce clip et sa super production !!! C'est plus que plaisant !!! Mais n'oublions pas seul les héros on pu voir la réel fin de la guerre .... qu'elle quelle soit

he is one hell of a good soldier..
God bless R.I.P
Joakim at 3:09 is gold, great job as always 👌
Always bringing the best Collaboration between Sabaton and Yarnhub! Amazing song and animation.
Salute to the hero! Incredible bravery and story!
Merci d’un soldat 🇫🇷 à Sabaton et à leurs collaborateur,
Morale of the story - don't mess with short French peoples (Bonaparte as the most shiniest and most known example in global history)
As i'd like to say:
He didn't come there for bullying, he came there to fight.
A Sabaton classic, that always gives tears of happiness.
Go Albert! Vive la France!
Let’s gooo. I love you Sabaton. Please never stop making music.
probably the best sabaton-yarnhub video especially with those transitions between scenes
From this animation we can clearly remember that he has a damn strong right straight
You may be thinking of the unkillable soldier. These are different people, but both amazing heroes.
11:27 My great great great grandfather was killed in the same way 1938. He was also a veteran of the Great War but on the German side
At first, I thought that guy looking like Joakim was just some sort of coincidence, but then I saw Pär as well and I was like: Nope, I saw right 😇😘
I loved this Easter Egg.
It's always Educational AND epic whenever a Sabaton and Yarnhub collab happens
A story that touches the heart, soul and dignity of all of us! God Save Albert! Forever!👏👏👏👏👏
Man he died a few months before ww2? That’s just sad.😢
Albert Roche dying weeks prior to the renewed state of war maybe a blessing in disguise for his soul, old scars should not be reopened
Wonderful story and video, and another great song by Sabaton! Very well done!
Imagene escaping training camp and just for punishment getting in tge the 27Th battalion of chasseurs alpins is absolute badass
An other awesome video. France and everone can be proud of this man. Even if he is the enemy. Greetings from Germany
I love and hope that we can get another canadian soldiers history soon, and the french getting a huge song is great
My vote goes to Leo Major
Did anyone notice Joakim?

I can't wait for the animated video for "The Unkillable Soldier"
Great job, Sabaton! Your videos are so very enriching. I'm a very proud fan of a band that goes far beyond the music.
There needs to be a movie about this guy
The cameos had me laughing but the story is so amazing. I can't wait to hear about more heros like Albert
Weird thing- as soon as rhe video says that he died, a raindrop fell on my heart, like, directly in the middle of my heart too.
He died like this? That reminds me of one of our WW2 heroes from Greece. Milton's Iatridis. He was the captain of the Papanikolis submarine that managed to sink three Italian ships during the Greco Italian War but was killed in a car accident in 1960.
God damn those punching animations were smooth
My jaw hurts just thinking about it.
This song is incredible… and this video… its amazing.
Thanks ng! Happy you enjoyed it! 🤘
This song is AWESOME!!!! LOVE THIS!!! The chord progressions are great, that use of "drone" and chant, the voicing of the chords ( interval positioning) the solo, this is MASTER MUSICIANSHIP at it's finest!!! These guys are GREAT songwriters, great composers, great musicians, NICE people, and AMAZING PERFORMERS!!! Every good thing that happens to this band is WELL deserved, no lie. ( and thank you for that 24/7 Sabaton stream you just posted. I haven't slept in two days), hahahahaha. Singing songs, learning to play the guitar solos ( I've pretty much got the Christmas Truce down, and almost there with Dreadnought and Bismarck).
