Thank you! Seen countless EDC bags, several with your tweezers, but could not get Amazon to populate it until now! You were the first who provided the closeup with its mfgr. Thank you! 😃💗💗
This is the first kit that I have seen that had the hand warmer packs! I have some in my kit. They are great! I had some once that worked for 22 hours! For working outside in the winter they come in 'handy'.
I've seen a few dozen people's ideas now and I'm still learning! From you, I've learned about the knot cards, which has saved me about six hours' research and printing, and heaps of space. And they're waterproof too! Also good to know, as a fellow Brit, that I don't have to have a pistol and three days' rations in there. Many thanks :-)
Hi Shaun... Well you're my second stop on the list of Jedi shout outs. This was my first of your videos and I loved it. Nothing better then a rummage through another guys bag it tells you a great deal. Got yourself another subscriber mate and look forward to many more of your vids. Be safe and be lucky.
After some brain processing I have determined what EDC is. Every Day Carry. I can understand the use of acronyms for brevity of communication between two or more that know the meaning of the acronym. Nice video. I have carried that same Swiss Army knife since going on a camping trip with my teenage Son in 1995. Besides the 2 knife blades I use the tweezers, mini screw driver, file, and scissors quite often. Well, I have used the scissors so much that I've worn out the spring.
Some great items in there that I think I might add to my EDC. PS, it's nice to hear another Brit talking about EDC, as most of the time, ot's an American dominanted topic. Cheers.
Great video with perfect focus, so many of these videos have bad focusing issues. I have the micro with similar kit but on a smaller scale. Your large knife is perfectly legal as long as you can prove or say you have a good reason for carrying it eg work, hobby, fishing etc. Hope you do some more vids.
That pocket, if that's what I could call it, on the outside front. Is for the most part useless. You can slip a picture of yourself in there so people can see who to look for if you lose the whole pouch. Whatever you use it for it can't be something very thick. I use it to carry a pair of side/diagonal cutters. They are thin and because it's so tight I know they won't fall out. What I have found with these bags is that. It doesn't matter how big they are, I can always find something more to pack in there. I have the Mini, Skinny, Fatty, Beefy and some packs I use. And my Maxpedition Organizers are always stuffed. And of course they just keep getting heavier. My Mini goes in my pants cargo pockets, yes I find it handy, use it every day. But it feels like a lead weight some days. Glad I have it though. It does take a while before you settle on what is a final kit for your particular purposes. And you will always find something new, but that's part of the fun, upgrading I call it. Pick the size that's right for you, pay attention to the measurements if you plan to carry it in some other carry all. Whatever size you buy, Max It Out.
Nice EDC kit, question, are you comfortable carrying that lock knife inside your kit, do you take it hiking ever? I know that in the UK you have to have a valid reason for carrying it, such as Bushcraft but you say you have it with you everyday.
Hi Buddy good review, thanks. I was considering one of these but was baffled by the amount of different organisers Maxpedition turn out. BTW, my local Tescos stock the AAAA batteries. JP.
Just stumbled across this video and it's one of the first EDC pouches i've seen in quite a while that actually looks very practical instead of just being full of over the top fantasy items, bloomin' nicely done! (I especially like the wee prybar, WD40 and spirit level)
Hello Shaun , that's a great EDC you have put togather I like the mini snap on crow bar , gonna see if I can get one of them , cheers mate , atb Martin
Great video ! Have the smaller version of the "Fatty" for my Maxpedition Office... And upgrading to include Navigation Support ! Any Pen that uses a Fisher Space Pen Refill ! Have a Streamlight Stylus (White, Red or Green LED) and a Laser Pointer that use Three (3) "AAAA" Batteries ! Thank you for the video ! tjl
Nice EDC they really are personal things and every ones is unique, mine is quite sparse in comparison but I'm normally not too far from home that I couldn't grit my teeth and walk back.
Very nice kit. Please cut yourself some slack, you did great with this video, and they'll just get better. Something that I have found to come in very handy in my kit is a few energy bars. I've eaten them on the job site and while stuck in traffic and starving. They don't take up much room and if you have your kit you have some food. Anyhow, looking forward to more vids. Peace.
kiLLjoy24CALI I don't carry my sawyer mini in this kit as it is quite bulky, and this is more of a usual life EDC not SHTF or survival! Thanks for watching!
Hi Shaun, yes forgot to mention about screwdriver bits in the pen, thanks mate. Was just trying to get through video ASAP so it wasn't too long! Thanks for the comment bud! ATB Shaun
Hi, I am from India Just out of curiosity , If UK police due to some reason searched you and they found that knife in your bag ,then can they arrest you for that ?
Great video! Nice job. Consider the following...add a whistle. Add a signal mirror. Swap the Swiss Army knife for a multi tool with plyers. Oh, and if you learn how to tie the knots, you can dump the cards and use the space for something else. Great kit though!
Great EDC Shaun. I definately got some idea's for improving my own EDC kit. Thanks for sharing that. Can you tell me were you got that knot card from? I really liked that. I find that if you down use or practice knits it's easy to forget how to do them. And stressful situations wouldn't help neither. Maybe you can havr a look at my video's. Thanks Mark aka DutchKnifeGuy
Hi Mark, thanks for taking the time to watch. i got the Pro-Knot cards from Amazon.co.uk, i think the Bushcraft Store sells them as well, really handy mate! ATB Shaun
Great video, excellent kit. I'm like you, in the uk but I can't get the wd40 pen anywhere, not even on-line unless I'm prepared to pay a fortune. Can I ask where did you get yours.
Great kit man, glad to hear it works for you. If I can make a suggestion without sounding like a douchebag: I'd replace that yellow lighter you have in there with either a regular Bic lighter (notoriously reliable... the type you have there I've had break on me back in my days of bad habits....) or possibly a Zippo. The downside to a zippo of course is making sure you keep up with it and keep it full and in good condition.
It's been 8 years and I still love this video!

Excellent review of what to keep in an EDC. Been thinking about a Maxpedition Fatty for a while now. You've pretty much convinced me! Thanks.
Hi, I'd love to see how you've updated this after 8 years
Great kit mate, obviously a lot of thought and experience gone into this one

No need for all the apologies. Good review, sir. Thanks for showing your kit.

Great. Thanks for sharing. I would recommend adding a signaling item. Whistle or mirror

Did I miss something to write on?
Hey from Canada here what's a legal carry there for an edc knife?
Hi,
what is the color of this called?
I want to buy it in this color but I cant find it, maybe the pictures are misleading...
Thank you for an answer
Hi Michael, this is the khaki colour, thanks for watching mate, ATB Shaun
I love your EDC!

How come you don't have any type of quick water filtration item?
kiLLjoy24CALI I don't carry my sawyer mini in this kit as it is quite bulky, and this is more of a usual life EDC not SHTF or survival!
Thanks for watching!
Ben, great guy. Gives random please treat milk bags hahaha
Looks like out would be covered for most eventualities. The pen with level does it also have screwdriver bits in the end? Atb Shaun
Hi Shaun, yes forgot to mention about screwdriver bits in the pen, thanks mate. Was just trying to get through video ASAP so it wasn't too long!
Thanks for the comment bud!

The only reason I know about them is, I got one for Christmas lol.
That's exactly where I got mine from.

+Andrew Allison Thanks Andrew, More on my channel! ATB Shaun
Brilliant kit
I tend to not keep up real sharp objects in the fatty for fear of puncture. Thanks.

Thanks for that mate!

Thanks for sharing👍
Well put together.

+G Whittle I think it came free with a can of wd40, but that was a few years ago now. Sorry. Thanks for watching mate, ATB Shaun
Super lube makes a pen oiler. Usually about $6 is the going rate.

You lost me when you pointed your flashlight at the camera.
Great vid thanks
I've heard that there are AAAA batteries in 9 volt batteries.
I dont think london drugs sells anything like that though I got my fatt boy bag there
2 pencils, 1 sharpie and 1 pen. Really?! We are talking about a survival kit man. Not an authors kit...
EDC stands for Every Day Carry. That mean stuff I carry EVERY DAY… not just in a survival situation. So for me as a carpenter it works great!
Whatever, just joking nice kit. Bit more confidence.
Great edc.and you say obviously a lot.lol
Why is it so hard for me to take someone seriously that's from the UK... 😂
Whatever
