Another super fun watch! I love seeing what other people are spinning! I have all the Pretenders early stuff and I really need to revisit those albums! I’m a big fan of garage rock so I made it a mission to get as many of those Back from the Grave comps. I too found that Vol 1 this past year and yes the covers are a def spit in the face of commercial rock! Entertaining tho! Man I love that Troggs album and With a Girl Like You is just a great pop song! I’ve really been getting back into the 60’s East Coast stuff including Mama’s & Papa’s. Oh man so glad you showed that Soul Survivors LP! I love that record! This was great! Thanks again for sharing your listening experience for 2023 with us! Peace ✨✌️👽✨
right on man, that's awesome! I just picked up a few more garage comps while doing some holiday traveling. I just love all that '60s stuff, whether it's early punk craziness or beautiful vocal harmonies, it's all good with me, just depends on what the mood calls for.
i was looking for reactions to The Olivia Tremor Control and your video came up. obviously not a reaction video, but love to see another fan out there. i really think both of their LPs are some of the best music ever made in that genre. cheers
Right on! Glad you dig the sounds of the OTC. I've tried to lead many a horse to their water, but a lot of folks just don't get it. I'd never really thought to do a reaction video, but I've heard their music so many times for so many years it wouldn't be a first reaction, but I'd say I still feel some sort of positive or interesting reaction each time I listen. Their are many layers to The Olivia Tremor Control.
Thanks for stopping by! That is my ultimate goal here, to help people discover things that they may like and share some things I’ve learned after 20+ years of collecting records. It’s a gift that keeps on giving.
I have the first pressing of the Date Zombies. It sounds pretty good. But my friend has the OG UK mono and that is pure nirvana. It’ sounds ridiculously god. I have the OG promo mono of White Light. I think I prefer it in mono, especially The Gift!
Daaaang! That’s awesome! I’ll keep an eye out for those! I usually prefer mono for ‘60s music, but some of the crazy panning stuff is cool, especially on headphones. What label were the Zombies on in England?
PS if you don’t mind Is like to give your channel a nice Shout Out in one of my upcoming videos? I assume you’d be ok with it but sometimes Cosmic Vinyl is an acquired taste I guess LoL! I really think that more folks would be interested in seeing your collection and you def deserve more subs and viewers! Happy New Year! 🎉✌️✨
Yes, yes and yes! I'd be honored to be mentioned on your channel! I really dig what you do, it's really unique and entertaining and far out and beautiful! We definitely like a LOT of the same music!
I'm glad to see a 45 guy. You should pick-up a copy of the "Here's Loretta Lynn" album, if you see it. (MONO, not fake srereo if you can) You can get it for like $4. This is her best album,. The cream of L.A. session players too. The only song missing is her first semi-hit "Honky Tonk Girl", recorded at the same session. Great back story too.
Nice! Thanks for the recommendation! I haven't seen that one out and about. I usually pick up any Loretta Lynn record I see, unless they're beat to hell.

Love your channel, man. Discovered a bunch of LPs I had never heard of.

Listen!!! Their album “Story” is amazing but the singles are tremendous. They never wrote a bad song
Will do, thanks for the recommendation!
Have you heard Honeybus, by the way? Another amazing 60s baroque pop band that nobody seems to know at least here in the U.S.
Yes, I’ve heard maybe a snippet or two, but never really listened much. I’ve heard a lot about them.
