A lot of Whoah Whoah! 🤣It’s hard to explain what VR feels like u til you actually experience it yourself! You were much more conservative than I was on my first flight, probably why I got motion sick a tad bit! I took the F16 Full Burner up to 25k feet then rolled inverted and dove down for fast low level hell on my first few flights! I feel the F16 and the F14 have the best sensation of speed when flying low level. The helicopters feel that way as well, especially the Hind. You feel the motion of flight in Helicopters in my opinion. Super fun especially the 2 seat coop multiplayer is pretty fun and you feel like your really in a helo! I’m always catching myself reaching for a button that’s not really there! If you had a 100% mock-up of a cockpit & put VR on that would be unreal! So all you had to do was push a button or flip a switch that was in the right place would be awesome! Very hard to make but awesome! Great video bud, glad your enjoying it & I look forward to flying VR in multiplayer with you! Don’t get sick! 🤢🤢
Thanks man! Yes hard to explain if you haven't experienced it that is for sure! Haha I had to take it easy I knew it was going to a trip in my head for first few times. I hope I get used to it because it's INSANELY AWESOME!!!
@@Afty86 You will. It’ll only take a few more flights and a couple dogfights. Try the Apache you’ll like the helos for sure!

Yes you can use a full HOTAS setup or just a stick if you would like. This is the best way to play DCS

what are your computer specs running this vr headset? i tried a rift CV1 this weekend and it was fun but not very clear, I run a 2070s
I'm running a Ryzen 9 5900x, 64 gigs 3600 mhz ram (when I recorded this video I had only 32 gigs), 3080 Ti, and running DCS off an Nvme SSD. I also use the oculus link cable. How do you press cockpit buttons in vr? I could use my controllers, but my desk and hotas gets in the way!
I use my mouse to click the buttons, I have my mouse on a mount beside my stick for easy access!
@@Afty86 ooooohhhh! Ok, but I thought the mouse only worked on the main menu and mission start screen.

Some info missing. What GPU are you using?
I am using a 3080 Ti. At this time I was running 32gigs of RAM
So is VR the ultimate experience for DCS world? Because i need to know asap? Cheers
Yes it's an amazing experience however, be prepared to take some time tweaking the settings so it can run half decent as it's not very optimized! I say go for it man 🤘
@@Afty86 👍🏽
Can you play this game with RTX 3080? Also do you need something special for this game, like a lever board or chair or a special wheel, or can you play it with oculus quest 2 controllers?
People play this with a gtx1080ti so your 3080 will handle it for sure. Now you can use the touch controls if you enable them however I have not tried it. At the absolute bare minimum you can use an Xbox controller but you'd be better off getting a Logitech 3d pro joystick to test if you will enjoy what DCS has to offer. If you are looking for a full touch controls check out VTOL. Hope this helps!
@@Afty86 Thank you very much! I think I will play with the headset controllers until I decide I like the game enough to want even more immersion out of it
I am not seeing this program inside my QUEST 2, where is it ?? Do you know if there are any 'Flight Simulator' or jet fighter games offered by QUEST ? Or, do I need tpo have a PC where the game resides ?? I just bought a META 2 and the games are very limited, in fact, its rubbish !
Yes this is played through the quest link on my pc, the flight sims on the quest are okay. Have you tried simple planes vr or ultra wings on the meta store. It's def not DCS world but okay flight games.
I might be really stupid but the Oculus Quest 2 is the same as the Meta Quest 2 right?
Yes sir you are correct! It's been an amazing experience in DCS and other flight sims
Awesome! Is VR good? I'm non-VR movie maker so if I use VR I'll have for better shots!😁
VR is stunning if you get a chance to try it I would! For video production and screenshots the higher you can set the graphics the better, so using a monitor would be your best bet imo
Can I just play on VR? Or do I need HOTAS i’m kind of new to this stuff I’ve been ok for the last 24 hours on keyboard but it’s only easy for me to use flaming cliffs aircraft (f15c) i’m assuming it’s hard to play the F/A-18 on keys
@@thundernoob22 a HOTAS would improve your experience 1000x. While it is possible to play using the hand controllers (I haven't tried it) I heard it's not worth the effort.
@@Afty86 at least it’s better than keyboard though thanks for the feedback 👍
@@thundernoob22 no problem. I was in the same situation as you but without the vr when I started playing. Was flying the stock su25 tutorials with the keyboard and I was like this is awesome but the controls are too hard. I went out to bestbuy the next day and got a Logitech 3D pro for $40. Served me well until I bought a VKB gladiator as my first real stick
@@Afty86 is logitech 3D pro good and I would just need a joystick and headset/trackIR to play right?
@@thundernoob22 the Logitech 3D pro joystick is a good starter as it's not too expensive if you decide flight sims aren't for you (they take time to learn but once you do it's awesome! Tho I miss some of those learning days it was fun). You can get by with just a joystick TrackIR will definitely help. You don't need a headset to use it but if your going to use some sort of track clip you'll need something to attach it to. Otherwise you will be wearing a baseball cap and sitting the reflectors on the brim for the camera to track. There are some inexpensive head tracking options as well. If you have a webcam already take a look at 'Beam Eye Tracker' from what I heard it's pretty good eye tracking software.
Hi Sir, im really interested in purchasing a VR headset and im not sure on what i should get. There are few in the market and i need help deciding. Criteria is reasonable price, good resolution and wireless (if there is any). Would appreciate if you can advise me of any. Thank you Sir.
Hey man! I really do think the quest two will give you your best bang for your buck! I know you can connect it to the pc wirelessly but I haven't tried that I have only used the link cable. I thoroughly enjoy DCS with the Quest 2 and you don't need a Facebook account anymore!!

@@dushanthap674 No problem, thank you for watching!
So you don't use your quest controller to click around in the cockpit??
No I use the mouse to click the cockpit.
i don't know if it's related to the motion sickness you felt, but obviously there are some fps or lags issue. Am I correct?
I would say for this video maybe more towards the fps/lag. I wanted to capture my first DCS VR experience so I had to guess on some settings. But now that I have that dialed in it's so good!
Do i Need a monster computer to run This. ? Got a 1070 7gb 😅
Might be able to play on low doing some training missions solo but don't think it would work out so well with a more resource heavy mission

There is a way to do it but I have not tried it.
