I did the exact same thing with the experia 1 VI and the same San Disk 1TB Extreme Pro microSDXC card and formated it but after a short time, it does not recognize the card any more. Not even after restart the phone. Only thing that helps is to delet on laptop everything on the card, then insert to the phone again and then after recignizion, to format it again but then the same problem appears. Maybe some kind og "delete that specific system app cache" topis needs to be done? With the 512GB Samsung micro SD card it works perfectly.
that's weird... it might be worth checking or formatting the memory card on the computer with different settings to find out if it will work with some settings and not others. In my experience with some old cameras, they didn't support high capacity memory cards but when I formatted them on a computer with a different file allocation size then it would work on the camera, hence I was thinking if a similar solution could work here.
Great video about the sandisk. I was searching on youtube for microsd max capacity for the xperia and your video here came up on the search. I am thinking about getting that device. On a different note you have a very super relaxing voice. You should consider starting a separate page and do ASMR content. They are very popular on youtube.
Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion for ASMR. I will look into it. Can you please let me know if you have any recommendations on a source for learning about ASMR?
@@RadCameraMan for ASMR since you like technology and gadgets what you should do is after you record you regular tech video you should do it again but this time talk with a lower voice then upload that video to your new ASMR channel and in the title make sure to put "ASMR" first then the rest you can name as you see fit. So for example this video could be titled "ASMR microsd card review". Make sure not to include any music or loud noises in the background or any intro because it will ruin the intent of the video which is it's supposed to be relaxing. You can search ASMR on TH-cam to get a lot of good ideas. Those types of videos get a ton of views. They basically help relax people and for me it helps me to sleep at night.
I recommend looking up asmr on TH-cam and tiktok. There is an open niche in asmr tech reviews... no one is doing it. Could you do a 30 minute overview of the Sony Xperia 1v? Similar to this video you could overview the phones features, settings, first 10 things to do with the device and an overview of the 3 camera apps. Video title for your series could be: ASMR Tech Review of the Sony Xperia 1 V. It's super simple, talk about everything you are doing
In my opinion it is the "SanDisk Extreme Pro" amzn.to/3UE5l2b I have had a good experience with these memory cards so far, so I buy this brand/model for all my SD cards and Micro SD cards. To elaborate on my experience with this brand and model; I use the V30 SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card to record video footage at 300Mbps (4K 120fps) even though this card is only supposed to work at 240Mbps continuously. So because these cards over-perform in relation to their spec, I didn't waste money to upgrade to their V60 model yet. So they have two distinct advantages in my opinion: 1. these cards can over-perform which gives me some peace of mind when recording high bitrate videos for an extended period of time. 2. since these cards can over-perform in terms of speed, I didn't need to upgrade to their latest V60 model, which meant I saved some money since I already had many V30 cards of this brand and model which I have been able to use for a faster speed than it was designed for. Be aware that there are two very similarly named models, but the "SanDisk Extreme Pro" is the one which I recommend: - SanDisk Extreme - SanDisk Extreme Pro amzn.to/3UE5l2b
I just picked up a Sandisk 512GB Extreme card for my Sony Xperia 1V, a test with CPDT Benchmark resulted with: Seq write 31.2 MB/s Seq read 43.8 MB/s Rand write 1.6 MB/s Rand read 4.6 MB/s I'm curious what your results are as I have read Sony caps the speed.
I haven't done a speed test with the MicroSD card inside the phone. I will do this and leave a comment with my results. Do you know what the maximum bitrate for video recording is with this phone?
@@יואברז-ו9ע The supported sequential write speed by U3 and V30 memory cards is 30MB/s or 240 Mbps which is fast enough for any video recording on this device, so this should not cause any problems for usage since the device itself does not produce data at a faster rate. I will test this and report back but so far I haven't done a speed test yet, but what is the use case for requiring a faster speed? My use case is video recording with V30 cards which works well with any of the video encodings and settings, so I haven't needed to use V60 or V90 memory cards yet.
I don't know. I only have the Xperia 1 V to test it on and it worked but I tested this in a really old phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) from over 10 years ago and it worked. So I assume it will work on the Xperia 1 iii.
