Broken TV or cheap shop light, you decide

  • After realizing I broke the TV when I put the bezel back on and taking the broken Samsung 40" TV apart and throwing it into the recycle bin....the next day I realized that maybe I could make it into a light box instead. I blame this video from EEVblog2 for getting the idea: • Dumpster Diving 86" LG... He has a lot of good videos if you have not checked out his channel.
And by making this into a light box, that way I have an actual use for the LED strips that I had bought, and as a bonus, get more light in the garage and throw away a lot less stuff that could be repurposed, which is not a bad thing.
So this video was my attempt at changing the broken TV into a new light above my drill press area. I looks like it will work, and if it has issues, well the only money I am into it for are the led strips, and this way I also have a remote control for the light since I put that sensor back in, so I don't have to try and use the on-tv on/off switch.
