I just finished Isabell Kramer's Beaufort cardigan and I very much enjoyed the knit. The stitch pattern takes it one notch higher than straight stockinette stitch. I also knitter her Bairbre v-neck sweater this summer and it's amazing. Don't walk, run to her patterns! Thank you for a lovely podcast. Greetings from Montreal, Canada🍁
I love your podcast, and I adore your taste! I see what you suggest and I put in my favourites waiting to knit them. Please keep them coming! Have a great day and love from Australia
I was happy to see your new episode pop up on my list! I always enjoy it so much to watch your podcasts while I’m knitting. I love your relaxed way of telling us about all the new patterns and I also love the style of patterns you pick to knit and show us in these podcasts. Thank you so much for this lovely episode. Happy knitting! 🥰🥰
Really enjoy your podcast, enthusiasm and joy of knitting. I have been a knitter for many many years, and owned a yarn store for over 15 years until I retired. I now am able to knit for myself instead of samples for the store, so I love perusing Ravelry and listening to your podcast. Thank you for sharing your love of knitting!
Love you and loved this episode. You bring great joy to our community. Your Autumn Bloom is gorgeous! Always delightful to sit and knit with you. Thanks so much Bobbi ❤️
Such an enjoyable episode Bobbi and I am so grateful to you, not only for your lovely help on the Apple Orchard Socks test knit, but also for mentioning the pattern on your wonderful podcast!! My heart is full.❤❤❤ Hugs, Judy
I love all your beautiful makes!! There are so many patterns I want to knit!!! I’ve had the Kallias pattern on my to do list for a long time but hadn’t found the yarn to make it with but now you gave me the perfect solution!!! I will make it with Lion Brand Fisherman Wool!! Thank you!! The Autumn Alpine is gorgeous and now another sweater on my to do list!! 😅
Your review of Claudia´s book was excellent. I am planning several embroidery designs to add to some of my simple knits, and I think it´s a wonderful thing that Claudia´s book covers so much in the way of embellishing knits. Your Autumn Alpine is lovely.
I just finished my Kallias and I love it! Fits beautifully, so squishy and stays on my shoulders well. Isabell is one of my favourite designers, very well written, clear patterns
Thanks for another lovely podcast. I’m looking forward to seeing the cardigan knitted up. I need a cardigan and this one appeals but I’ll be interested in seeing how it fits because in the pattern pics it’s hanging off the shoulders - a lot.
Watch the Fishermans wool when you wash it. It will felt if you machine wash it. The other Lyon brand wools in colors have problems - the dyes degrade the yarn. I made a few worsted wt socks with it and they only lasted 2 washes! I am currently making the Sea Glass sweater. I did not have enough scraps, I ordered yarn in the colors I wanted. It will probably be a favorite! Ravelry blustd to see progress pics.
Kallias was on my radar. I had a large quantity of Woolstok. The more I looked at projects of others, I decided it may be something that would tend to slide off my shoulders. So I knit Rebel instead. They are similar but the rebel has something resembling a shawl collar. Can’t wait to see your Kallias. I may realize I made a mistake although I really live my Rebel. It was the last completed project last winter so it didn’t get much wear.
I just knit the Kallias and I love it! I used Drops air and Drops mohair held together and it’s so light weight. You are going to love knitting that pattern, I felt like a professional when I finished 😂 the pattern is so well written.
The book from Claudia is stunning, I purchased a copy from the store when she announced it! I love the one on the cover, your Tecla will be lovely! Super cute sock patterns, your Halloween socks are going to be so sweet ❤
I love your podcast I love every single thing you knit, you have such great taste , wish I could knit half as good as you i am advance beginner have knitted a few sweaters, I keep all your favorites in my to buy list and hopefully will knit them. Have a great day
I’ve been looking for a colorwork sweater to knit. This will be my first colorwork sweater so I didn’t want something with long floats. I think the Autumn Bloom is the winner! As far as Knit Picks Wool of the Andes, it isn’t an alpaca yarn, it’s 100% Peruvian wool. I knit a the Sparia sweater by Kristen Jancuk last year with WOTA and I can’t wear it without a base layer.
Though I haven't worked with mohair that much yet, I think what actually makes some mohair softer than others is also due to the micron count. So a lower micron count mohair (ie super kid mohair) is going to be softer than a higher micron count (kid mohair). That is why super kid mohair blends like Rowan Kid Silk Haze are significantly more expensive than say Drops Kid Silk, which only uses kid mohair.
Really enjoyed this video ❤. I will definitely be purchasing Memory Lane... what a beautiful compilation of patterns, thanks for sharing it. Love the sweater you are wearing! 😊
Hello! You are so kind! Tell your friend I said hello and thank you both for watching! Sending hugs from Alabama! Have a wonderful day my friend. Happy Knitting! Bobbi 🥰
Right now I'm finishing up the Anyday Sweatshirt by Ysolda Teague and I'm also working on the Harvest Basket Simply Irresistible Socks by Christie Archer. I always try to have a large project and a pair of socks going. I am excited to cast on the Elara Cardigan by emknits. I bought the yarn on vacation so I'm ready to get started! You talked me into buying Memory Lane. All of the patterns are so beautiful.❤🧶
Enjoyed your podcast. Funny planning on knitter the Isabel kraemer cardigan as well. I am currently finishing up my Big Love by Ankestrickt I agree I always thought Aran weight is slightly heavier than worsted but perhaps gauge swatch would be helpful. Love your alpine sweater very flattering on you.
Hi Bobby, I am knitting the Rebel Cardigan, it is with a worsted. It is coming up lovely. I just love watching your episodes. You put a smile on my face. I just want to crawl in the screen and visit with you. 😜 Have a wonderful day
Hi Bobbi. Love your Alpine sweater. You are a beautiful knitter. Since you can't wear that beautiful cowl, you should make it into a pillow. It would be darn cute.
Question: How do you get to do test knits, I have no idea how to get involved in that process. Thanks so much, I appreciate your TH-cam videos; you are one of three that I follow regularly. How often do you put them out? Thanks! 🥰
Absolutely love your Autumn Alpine! I am hoping to cast on a Caitlin Hunter sweater one of these days. She's got some amazing designs that I want to knit. I just finished Kallias, knit in Cascade 220. It's a wonderful cardigan to knit and to wear.
Thank you Bobbi for sharing all of your beautiful knits. I just downloaded the September Woods socks pattern. I love it. What yarn did you use for those socks? Diane
Your Autumn Alpine sweater is gorgeous! I have been looking for a yoke motif sweater. I also have quite a few Isabell Kraemer patterns in my favorites. I did knit the Driftwood and enjoyed it. Years ago I knit the Basket Whip Cowl which is very similar to the one you showed. I love cowls but live in a warm weather climate and don't get to wear them as often as I would like.
Thank you for this terrific episode. Your Autumn Bloom is so lovely. My next knit is going to be the Turtle Dove cardigan, a free pattern from Sonder Yarn, it looks light and fluffy
Love your podcasts.. Wish I was your neighbor so we could knit together. Thank you for sharing your honest opinions on patterns and yarn selections. Happy knitting
Hey neighbor! Wouldn’t that be fun to be knitting buddies? You are so sweet! Thank you so much for watching my little TH-cam channel and thank you for the lovely compliment. You made my day!!! Have a wonderful day my friend. Bobbi🥰
love your Autumn Alpine, the color is stunning. My next cardigan is Bottoni by Isabell Kraemer. It’s lace on the front and stockinette on the back and sleeves. In the meantime I am still going on my Polina. Halfway through the first sleeve. Gave myself the timeline of 3 weeks to finish. Will be close but don’t think I can finish in the next 2 days. And WOW, the book by Claudia Quintanilla. Absolutely stunning and such original designs.
Bobbi I love your Alpine sweater. I am waiting to cast m 29:04 one on after I finish my holiday knitting. It’s going to be red and white. I am hoping I can get it knit up in time for Christmas. Great sock pattern too. Happy Knitting. 🧶😊
Hi Bobby, love the sweater you are wearing. This is adorable.love the cuffs on this knit. I love this podcast and you really feel welcome! Just now on torso of the Field Sweater. After finishing the Grains it is just a mindless st st . Am as well making the MKAL shawl at Stephen West designs. I am not doing a. Lue a week to finish in October but enjoying the Mindset of a thinking sweater. Thanks so much for today!
Thank You for another wonderful podcast. You are soo inspiring. Love you Alpine sweater- and the colors ❤️❤️ I’m currently knitting Rhubarb and Cream socks by Zaneteknits. A beauty colorwork sock with such unique details.
Love Autumn Alpine, will be added to my wish list! Thanks for the mohair tip, although most likely I will not do double stranded sweaters because I have a 43” bust, and adding mohair makes the cost too expensive. Would you please include SIZES when discussing patterns? There are quite a few patterns that go only up to abt 40” bust.
O I love to watch your podcast. You leave me with so much inspiration... I am a very NEW knitter... but I love my first cardigan the most... The Dotty Cardigan from Stephanie Jessica Lau...
What a beautiful Alpine Autumn sweater! Your color choices really compliment the look! I’m a keen sock knitter and love patterns by This Handmade Life, especially leaf motifs of Woodland Walk Socks. Have you noticed Isabell Kraemer’s Tiree sweater that has attached wrist warmers of cashmere silk lace? Greetings from Finland 👋🇫🇮
Hello Finland! I would love to see your socks! I don’t knit very many socks. Not sure why. Thank you for suggesting Isabell Kraemer’s Tiree sweater. I love the cuff details!!! Thank you so much for watching and thank you for the lovely compliment! Have a wonderful day my friend! Bobbi 🥰
Memory lane looks amazing- thanks for the great review. I just finished Gudrun Johnston’s new Cardi- Luumu- in J and S held double with silk mohair-and I love it- fits great with really interesting saddle shoulder construction- check it out! Her patterns are fabulous!
New subscriber here, I really enjoy your channel. I’m currently knitting the Csilla Jacket pattern from Life in The Long Grass most recent book. It’s a lovely knit in their rustic Woolly Worsted yarn.
Fun podcast, Bobbi. What shoes can one wear with those thick socks you knit? I bought some new Opal DK weight sock yarn and have found a ribbed sock pattern to try for my first sock knitting project, but wonder if they will be relegated to "house slippers" due to the inability to fit inside a shoe (even using 4 ply sock yarn.) I do wear leather loafers but am not a boot gal. Tell me more about fancy socks, please, and how you style yours.
Hello! I don’t knit a lot of socks. I always seem to choose to knit socks with a lace design, which take longer and require more concentration. Lol. All the socks in this video were knit with fingering weight yarn on US size 1 needles. They fit nicely inside my Birkenstocks. I haven’t tried wearing fingering weight socks with loafers. I have knit Dk weight socks which also fit inside my Birkenstocks. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Happy Knitting! Bobbi🥰

Bobbi, your sweater is beautiful and it looks wonderful on you. You did a great job talking about the book. I like your pumpkin socks.
I’m a continental knitter too. When I want to read a hard copy and knit I’ll put the book on a music stand 😊

I just finished her Isabell Kraemer's Tresse sweater using Biches & Buches lambswool and silk mohair in med blue. Love her patterns!
Fisherman’s wool is great. I’m wearing the TULC cardigan right now made out of it. I held a strand of alpaca with it. It’s so drapey and warm.
Your Autumn Alpine is Magnificent 🍁🏵️🍂🌰🐿️🎃
I just knit the Kallias and I love it! I used Drops air and Drops mohair held together and it’s so light weight. You are going to love knitting that pattern, I felt like a professional when I finished 😂 the pattern is so well written.

I love the sweaters you knit and your enthusiasm…. Worsted and aran weight are different. Interchanging them does not work.
