I get the vibe that if Sable was part of the horror aspect of Welcome Home, you would get Sable trying to tell the audience that something’s wrong through sign language but it gets cut off or something. I think anyone who enjoys analyzing stuff or picking up hints would enjoy this character.
Or maybe if Sable doesn't talk much, it could be through his only pieces of dialogue, or miming something disturbing. Smh Sable's design and idea is so fun- definitely gonna find Welcome Home to see it xD
10:19 I like to imagine in the show wally and Sable would go off script to give each other back handed complaints or slightly roast each other and it was subtle so it would just be left in and any other neighbors in the scene would just stand there in awkward silence until they finished and move on to next scene 🙃 ( Sable usually doesn't talk so it didn't really happen but still kind of a funny image)
I come from a family that speaks sign language so I really love the idea of someone introducing this to children, it's something you can relate to, it's a good teaching, as original as it is necessary that I love. I Sable team for ever.
I love everyone about Welcome Home, but what I love the most is that it's really believable that it became popular based on its story, it's not like others where they tell you 'it was the best television in that decade' but everything is so ugly and horrible that, not even my 3 year old self who was obsessed with Tim Burton's works would believe that it became popular. I love your Oc and how you explain the difference between a monotony of color and a variation that tells you 'yes, they are from the same team, they belong to the same place and they don't need to replicate each other's clothes because yes'.
I can really tell you understand your "puppet stuff" by how you developed your character and how the puppeteer would maneuver it! I also grew up on Jim Henson and still have a huge fixation on his work! The way you described him... like I can imagine exactly how he would work irl! love your content and your art style so much!

Also 7:58 yes, thing weren’t as progressive in the 70’s, but in this universe it might have been possible, since there’s instances of showing autism (with Frank and Julie) and Homosexuality (Frank and Eddie) While we might have to wait for any of it to be confirmed by the creator, I still felt like it was worth pointing out. Also I only noticed this recently, but despite the variety of color in the welcome home world, there doesn’t seem to be signs of purple anywhere. I don’t know if they’re any significants to that, but I felt like sharing. Anyways I’m getting of topic and this is getting long, so I’ll just end this with great job and I love Sable 🖤🤍
There's definitely a bit of politically correct history at play with the story, but it can be an acceptable break from reality when xenophobia was never the point. Bigotry it important to talk about and to fight, but it's not really fun to put up with.

OOOOO I LOVE THE INK SPATTERING ON THE PAGE AND THE DETAIL OF THE WIRE TAIL!! Its like the details of a mime, sign language, another neighborhood of characters that are monochrome and talk via charades, and not being a main member of the cast that really pull Sable together as a character! I love your idea and the combination of different elements that feel very fitting for a childrens show. A mime who does charades feels lke a distinctly good way to go into teaching kids how sign language works where different hand signs and motions mean certain words, and letters because its something theyre likely already familiar with!
Thank you and lol yeah I studied the creators work really hard plus with the added bonus that I used to teach kids really helped with making sable feel like a real character and I'm currently learning sign language so it all came together prefectly
Wow, Sable is so talented. He can draw, play the piano, knit, use sign language, and perform! He's just full of things that don't stop and I love it, as well as his design and some of the features of his look like his tale and ears. His face is so cute too!

Someone had pointed out that the characters bios are all in the past tense which could indicate that they are dead besides Wally. Also welcome home is a great example of how to use the same colors without all of the characters blending together

Oh I immediately clicked on this when I saw this, it's amazing! I've only recently gotten into this fandom but I live it already. Fun fact the only colour of the rainbow NOT used on any of the characters is purple! Which I found quite interesting

The moment you said mime is the moment where I am intensely watching I LOVE MIMES AND MONOCHROMES (heck right now I have a fictional mime crush plus whenever I do lineless art I put on grayscale to see the grays, blacks, and whites because idk man it's just satisfying to see) This design is awesome and I agree Welcome Home Characters designs are awesome. I've heard of Welcome Home but I didn't know much about it so I'll check it out and its really wonderful just you being a happy reviewer because you live and breathe puppets, horror, 70s outfits, and most importantly research.
I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with puppets and feel the same way you do about this series so I'm super happy to see Sable. Especially cause I also like clowns/Mimes and I've recently been looking into LSM for a few OCs of mine. His lack of actual color makes him stand out so I think he's cute.
My personal theory for the show is that Wally is a redherring/being manipulated by the house in some way. I assumed that from the eyes of the house but something about the Duet makes me think that even more
Imagine if he opens his mouth and he speaks through the old timey music that would appear on the mentioned speech cards! Like that's his voice! It's the music but it's like a different language so the text would be a translation! (I just thought it'd be a neat idea-)

I think Sable would be a great addition to Welcome Home as a Series, and I thought I whould share my OC: Name: Henry. Henry would be a Humanoid figure (like Wally) with Brown hair and Hairstyle similar to Frank, most of the time he wears a Shirt with a Brown tie with dark pants, and Similar to Frank is interested in Nature, Mainly Birds, and was Added later on in the Shows Run, similar to Sable. Origin: Henry Originated from a Faraway Town That was keen on the gathering of Knowledge (Via Books Paintings Etc.) Hobby: Birdwatching. Occupation: Museum Keeper. Relations with other Neighbors: likes: Frank, Wally, Etc. Dislikes: Henry Doesn't really dislike any neighbors in Welcome Home and is mostly friends with all of them. Role in Horror: Has no Role. Hope you Enjoy my OC! (and possibly Draw it)

It's funny you say that since Sable hasn't been in Welcome Home long he's not evil. Since it seems Frank who's the only one not originally from Welcome Home seems to be the one trying to expose Wally as the evil guy he is. Or more accurately the fact Home is controling Wally's actions.

I love your oc! And I’m really looking forward to seeing more of what Welcome Home will have in store for us. When I first heard about Welcome Home, I was actually believing that this was a legit actual innocent puppet show from the 70s, because when I first checked out the website and read through every characters bios, there honestly wasn’t really anything I felt suspicious about as I read each of the character’s bios(Well except for Barnaby being a smoker and Frank’s ability to rotate his whole head). But when I watched some Welcome Home related videos, there were some stuff that I missed, that I just had to go back to the website and continue to check it out for myself. The bright colors and beautiful artwork were just so distracting for me to even think that there was anything creepy going on in Welcome Home, and that impressed me in all honesty! And as I looked through the characters and their bios, I can also say that Julie Joyful is starting to become one of my favorites! And I also find it coincidental because some of my characters have Welcome Home’s characters names. And now I kinda feel the urge to make a Welcome Home character of my own, especially since I’m actually starting to get interested in puppetry myself!

I recently discovered Welcome Home too and I am definitely already a fan of it! Love your OC Sable! The fact that he’s a mute mime is just perfect. I’d love it if Sable was trying to warn the audience on Welcome Home but is always prevented by Wally Darling from telling them. The main reason he doesn’t make any future appearances on the show could be because of HIM. Also no rush on the Scooby Doo next gen video, take all the time you need to make your work perfect. This design is awesome and I agree Welcome Home Characters designs are awesome. I've heard of Welcome Home but I didn't know much about it so I'll check it out and its really wonderful just you being a happy reviewer because you live and breathe puppets, horror, 70s outfits, and most importantly research.
I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with puppets and feel the same way you do about this series so I'm super happy to see Sable. Especially cause I also like clowns/Mimes and I've recently been looking into LSM for a few OCs of mine. His lack of actual color makes him stand out so I think he's cute.
My personal theory for the show is that Wally is a redherring/being manipulated by the house in some way. I assumed that from the eyes of the house but something about the Duet makes me think that even more
Imagine if he opens his mouth and he speaks through the old timey music that would appear on the mentioned speech cards! Like that's his voice! It's the music but it's like a different language so the text would be a translation!

I think Sable would be a great addition to Welcome Home as a Series, and I thought I whould share my OC:
Name: Henry.
Henry would be a Humanoid figure (like Wally) with Brown hair and Hairstyle similar to Frank, most of the time he wears a Shirt with a Brown tie with dark pants, and Similar to Frank is interested in Nature, Mainly Birds, and was Added later on in the Shows Run, similar to Sable.
Origin: Henry Originated from a Faraway Town That was keen on the gathering of Knowledge (Via Books Paintings Etc.)
Hobby: Birdwatching.
Occupation: Museum Keeper.
Relations with other Neighbors: likes: Frank, Wally, Etc. Dislikes: Henry Doesn't really dislike any neighbors in Welcome Home and is mostly friends with all of them.
Role in Horror: Has no Role.

It's funny you say that since Sable hasn't been in Welcome Home long he's not evil. Since it seems Frank who's the only one not originally from Welcome Home seems to be the one trying to expose Wally as the evil guy he is. Or more accurately the fact Home is controling Wally's actions.
The characters from welcome home are so adorable and I would cherish them for the rest of my life.

I love your oc! And I’m really looking forward to seeing more of what Welcome Home will have in store for us. When I first heard about Welcome Home, I was actually believing that this was a legit actual innocent puppet show from the 70s, because when I first checked out the website and read through every characters bios, there honestly wasn’t really anything I felt suspicious about as I read each of the character’s bios(Well except for Barnaby being a smoker and Frank’s ability to rotate his whole head). But when I watched some Welcome Home related videos, there were some stuff that I missed, that I just had to go back to the website and continue to check it out for myself. The bright colors and beautiful artwork were just so distracting for me to even think that there was anything creepy going on in Welcome Home, and that impressed me in all honesty! And as I looked through the characters and their bios, I can also say that Julie Joyful is starting to become one of my favorites! And I also find it coincidental because some of my characters have Welcome Home’s characters names. And now I kinda feel the urge to make a Welcome Home character of my own, especially since I’m actually starting to get interested in puppetry myself!

I recently discovered Welcome Home too and I am definitely already a fan of it! Love your OC Sable! The fact that he’s a mute mime is just perfect. I’d love it if Sable was trying to warn the audience on Welcome Home but is always prevented by Wally Darling from telling them. The main reason he doesn’t make any future appearances on the show could be because of HIM.
Also no rush on the Scooby Doo next gen video, take all the time you need to make your work perfect.
