i was looking at the geust book section of the site and was on page six when i found a few card that have been scribble and written over one of them reads this. "where am I?? What is this place... if someone is reading this please help me, i have no clue what is happening here and there are these, people, i think thats what they are, they look almost like strange puppets from a child's book... but if theres anyone out there reading this... help me... please". its very odd
yes it is. as someone who has been on tumblr for a while, I cant tell you how many series that are as beautiful as welcome home get unnoticed by the broader public--but Welcome Home is, and I really feel like Clown (the creator) deserves this recognition and love. I am SO happy Welcome Home is getting so much attention. It's not often you see a horror series made by and for the neurodivergent community, so it's nice to have some rep! Also, it's so cute and colorful!
and also lgbt+ rep!! clown, the creator has spoken that this is central to the welcome home story and theme and, since they are lgbt+ themselves, they wanted to make something that the community could have to see themselves in, since all of the characters are lgbt+ in some way!!!
I've never been in such a kind and generous fanbase like Welcome Home. I've been able to actually share some of my working theories for the show without being treated like a nuisance or that my opinion doesn't matter. It's nice that the community is still in the state where everyone is kind of just vibing at this point.
i found someone who made a fan character before i knew about WH, and when i asked what media it was from i got a lovely, enthusiastic and welcoming message explaining what WH was, where i could find it to get into it, etc. just that one little kind interaction led me to a new interest and really renewed my love for ARGs.
Yeah the colours really complement each other, not to mention the warm undertones make everything look very appealing and pleasant, just what I've noticed
Welcome home seems interesting and I imagine if this was a real children's show I imagine the lessons and morals would've revolved around being neighborly and Barnaby sounds like an absolute joy of a character he's just such a cute dog and his character design reminds me of the character of blue from blues clues.
As someone with art/design experience, I really love the character designs and illustrations. They are beautiful but you can tell the website was made for adults, simply because the designs are so intricate that they wouldn't be suitable for younger audiences. I just wanted to point that out, lol.
It would be a kinda funny twist to find out the main reason the Welcome Home show was cancelled was really it just being too expensive to produce with all the puppets being so intricate and hard to work with all the different movements and intricacies. And that whatever's going on with Wally had little to do with it.

My favorite small detail so far that I’ve seen a lot of people miss, is that on the character pages there are explanations for how their puppets would have looked and worked… except for three. Wally, Julie, and Eddie Even Home has a puppet description, but those three aren’t ever referred to as puppets or have a description, even though we see glimpses of Wally’s puppet form in different pictures Loey kind of mentioned it but it’s my favorite little detail
I've avidly watched anyone who's covering this series. I am completely down with sinister kids' programming--a lot of creepypastas land in that area, plus Kris Staub's Candle Cove--but the thing is, with this one? It also feels SO close to a 1970s Saturday morning show. It's like Sid and Marty Krofft shook hands with the Muppets. I love the designs, the characters, how everything fits together, and we're already starting to see places where the fit is a little jagged--and intentionally so. I can't wait until the next update!

If you look at the bottom of Home's windows it's the same pattern as Eddie's eyelashes which are also towards the bottom of his eyes. I don't know if this has any correlation or if it's just some coincidence or simply a design choice, but I thought it was interesting. I can't wait for more Welcome Home stuff to come out!

I went on my phone instead of my pc to look at the site, when I went to the neighborhood wally's house is floating and behind where it was suppose to be looks to be a bunch of trees (its shown in regularly but it reveals the full view of trees) with a dark black hole in the center with a spiral symbol in the middle. I don't know if that was a feature or something but it got me curious to know if it means anything!
