it kinda just build on DMC3 and improved every aspect of it. Nero's weapons are a good fit and just make up for the lack of variety that Danté normally gets, but there's something oddly satisfying constantly insta revving his weapon after each slash and build a combo from that. and Danté's gameplay is just peak DMC, all 4 of his styles are there, plenty of weapons and also interesting again. storywise, Nero kinda felt like a knock off Danté, which is kinda the point I guess since Vergil looks exactly like Danté but decides to spike his hair to be different, but Nero's 1 liners need some work, especially when Danté becomes the main character again and just steals every show he possibly could in a few missions.
I love how stark the difference is between Dante’s effort towards fights here against all the other dmc games. This game is essentially like Dante on vacation compared to the very start of 5 where the first thing you see is him fighting/losing the hardest he has had to since DMC3, or even 1 since he’s a lot more emotionally invested in the Mundus fight.

The thing is with 2 times for each boss and backtracking - its a great idea - it really shows a difference both in power and in attitude between Nero and Dante. 3rd time was supposed to show how Nero grew up to Dantes level, but yeah... This was kind of overkill. Even despite 4th being my favorite part out of 3,4,5 and that shitty one(ive never played or intend on playing first two), i would have traded that boss rush for a completely new boss any day of the week. And yet, i still think having Dante backtrack Neros journey was not a good, but a great decidion. Both in terms of comparison, and in giving a player to enjoy completely decimating demons as Dante should at that point. Also, every new weapon cutscene is just - YES. Also, it shows the silent narration of Dante preparing a new hunter, stepping aside, and correcting his mistakes later. And i like how whey managed to create a game where you play for 2 different characters, and its not a Nero game, and not a Dantes game. Its equal. They both got space to shine, their story, and style, despite the fact they have very simmilar levels, it feels both new and familliar. Whey tried to do the same in the 5th, but it just didnt felt this way. For me, in terms of levels, 5th was a horrible failure. Well... Cant say it had ANYTHING wrong with it except for levels, but compared to ancient giant tover of Temmen-ni-gru, and journey throught the island and back, it just doesnt work. Most of the levels is either a city or ficked up city, or a demon lair. Was a strange bet after DMC, whitch took place in town mostly, and it didnt work for me. To hell, even that reboot has more interesting level design and style than 5th part. 5th was gorgeus in terms of look, but missed that feel to this beauty. Ah, i kinda digressed. Anyway, great vid, love DMC4, peace
Nero: *Has actual boss fights that takes him everything he has to win against* Dante: *ROFLStomping on everything that moves in a somewhat aggresive maner in his general area or direction* yep, that checks out.
DMC4 was my first DMC game. I basically played through it three times. 2009 when I had no idea what I was doing, 2014 when I wanted to learn what I was doing, and 2019 when I binged all five DMC games back to back (I regret forcing myself through 2). The conclusion I take away is that DMC4 is two half-games that are genuinely good, but do not mix well together. Nero's lower skill floor is great for newcomers, he may only have two weapons but they're easy to learn with plenty to master -- but then you get thrown into Dante's half of the game and it's like going straight from the swimming pool to the Pacific ocean, it's crazy and overwhelming. Meanwhile, DMC veterans are going to LOVE the upgraded Dante who has everything they already mastered and more with hundreds of hours of techniques to experiment with -- but in order to play any of it they have to get through Nero's half of the game first. Both halves of DMC4 are amazing games, they just don't compliment each other very well

make sure to watch max0r for more of it
The thing is with 2 times for each boss and backtracking - its a great idea - it really shows a difference both in power and in attitude between Nero and Dante.
13:35 that caught me off guard 💀
For real tho
For real
Nero: *Has actual boss fights that takes him everything he has to win against*
Dante: *ROFLStomping on everything that moves in a somewhat aggresive maner in his general area or direction*
yep, that checks out.
Both halves of DMC4 are amazing games, they just don't compliment each other very well
I got a Japanese transited version for ps4, not everything was translated so I did not know it was called lost woods. Also I stopped playing the game at mission 13 for like a year or two til I hopped back on and found out I had to go back from where I came, note I accidentally went backwards and saw how I was able to continue
4:21 I mean they went even more balistic with bayonetta xD hahaha
I just love that Nero and Kyrie are voiced by the same english VAs that play Ichigo and Orihime in Bleach.
4:24 oh, so that infamous line comes from a DMC game? 😂😂😂
yeah my series kinda rocks
except 2
we dont talk about Devil May Cry 2
Back when you were in your emo phase
peak of combat?
@@dontsellmyliver that one too
no one likes 2 and PoC

lol facts🤣
I swear dude! Your voice impressions are getting very good. Good job and keep it up. Before long you may get a voice acting audition or something.
14:55 “MY FOREST… MY CHILDREN!” Dante: “Stfu.”
Can't believe that, after starting my journey through the entire DMC franchise this past year, I come to find someone else doing the exact same and making videos on it, even uploading DMC4 just after I started it. Finally finished the main campaign so I can finally watch this video and oh my god this video has so many fucking chapters.
Oh boy, I cannot wait to see Cyanman suffer through DmC: DMC
Wasn't that bad
Game was good storyline not so much
The hate really was over blown it’s fine
DMC4:SE is my favorite as a whole, even over 5.
Yes its got problems, namely a lack of bosses. I love it for it having a ton of playable characters, and the hammiest cutscenes.
Hell, even the repeating bosses is trying to teach you what the game is all about, by giving you something familiar with to style on.
12:54 How can any normal being not laugh at that
11:42 bro this dude is funny AF 😭
That's one hell of a come back
This man is a legend to play nearly all the dmc games. All im praying for now is his run through dmc 5
That poetic dialogue you made as an abridged version between Dante and the bug man is certifiably based
It's a holiday here in brasil today, the "worker's day", and just saw that you uploaded the dmc4 video. You made my holiday that was good even better
I really like your dmc series! Maybe you could play Bayonetta afterwards it's really similar gameplay wise and has a great story too!
(This time with less repetitive Bosses!)
I would PAY for an abridged version of the game from you. Actually thought Agnus said the physics joke
i love how credo is just so confused before the augh sound effect plays
13:34 best words ive heard whole month
These voice-overs are just too good.
bro you just "let's rocked" my favorite franchise of all time
"first chicken, now gladiator this just keeps getting better and better" devil may cry 3 quote
this is still my favorite game from dmc franchise
the bee man scene made me realise HOW GOOD you would sound as albert wesker
The dice game has a secret. The number on top when you hit it will be the number you get. Buster activates like frame 1 so use it to pick the fastest route.
Featuring Dante from the devil may cry series
This chanel NEEDS more recognition
1:20 wait, I dont remember that line! 😂
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO SO BAD
x2
12:53 i was rolling 🤣🤣
GET THIS MAN MORE SUBS!!! THIS AMOUNT IS A CRIME FOR CONTENT LIKE THIS!!!
When i heard Dark Knight my mind immediately went to the Bats because i never really realized they do call Sparda that , so that whole unexpected Batman running joke was like you reading my mind. Hell yeah i subbed
Absolutely hats off for this video! I’ve never laughed out loud so many times while watching a video. You’re witty, and your voice acting is so good! There were lots of moments I couldn’t even tell if it was actually in the game or not…until I heard the jokes of course 😂😂.
I have several questions for the ghost that flew through nero, namely if saw Nero's organs or his soul.
And THEN I'll ask wtf he was thinking when he decided to do that.
This guy always cooks with his DMC videoes, LET HIM COOK!! 🗣🔥
(these elevator bits are prob my fav part of the videos.)
I was not expecting that Pope speech dude I'm dead
The Shakespear cutscene is so good I learned its dialogue by heart.
0:33 Plot twist: she wasn't wearing any underwear in the 1.0 version of the game. Obviously they patched that in later but... yeah...
I was not prepared for 11:05
"The time has come and so have I... That's a crazy line" got me nearly spitting out my food. Always listening to the actual audio innocently but when you said it the way you said it I fucken connected the dots.
We're getting closer and closer to this guy's DMC5 Abridged Take
The text matching on the alternate cutscenes was immaculate, holy cow
my fave thing about dmc is that spardas entire bloodline is physiologically incapable of ever taking anything seriously
You got me with the Pope speech 😂
How the f*** am I just now finding you? I'm going to binge all of your videos. Holy s***! I can't stop laughing. My face hurts. Also, I think you could narrate literally anything, and not only would I listen to It, but it would be the most entertaining thing ever!! Keep up the great work!!!!!
Grew up on Devil May Cry, and it's been my absolute favorite series of all time. I actually have a replica Rebllion and Red Queen on my wall. I highly recommend you check out Onimusha! It was the only other series that came close to DMC, and they both share a similar background of their start. Love them both so much!
that fart caught me off guard
DMC4 will always be my favorite game in the series, it was the first game I played after growing up watching my dad play the first 3, and the special edition made me love the game even more.
I like how you edit everything to be more dramatic with explosions and then the credits just literally have the pub blow up behind dante for no reason
Silver Playbutton AND DMC4 Video, FUCK YEAH, Can't wait for DMC5, PLEASE PLAY THE VERGIL DLC FOR DMC5 TOO, IT'S SO FUN!
6:45 "open the noor"
17:19 is like... funnier when you realize that Agnus is canonically a misogynist according to Deadly Fortune. Crack made canon :P
13:56 i was laught entire 5 minutes, watching this moment again and again
Most true representation of Dantei from 1st DMC
1:33 "i'm atheist" I love the dry delivery, it works so well.
Your content is entertaining as hell
I love Dante's reaction to Kaiju...Evangelion Titan....Angel...thing is "It's got wings", not "omg, we have to stop it" or "we're gonna die"
I love that his singing the lyrics as what I can only assume is Vergil sounds like Wesker. Like you don't even have to do much to combine the characters. Just make Vergil a little more arrogant, give him the funny sunglasses, pallet swap his colors from blue to black, and have him smoke 64 packs a day and boom "Versker"
It took the DMC reboot for a lot of people to appreciate dmc4
"So, you've come."
Cyan: "Incorrect, Nero never finishes."
*"The time has come and so have I!" Song starts*
That should honestly be a difficulty. Imagine that, Nero Never Finishes!!😂😂😂
Bro your parodies are killing me everytime 😭😭😭
The voice overs are insane bro . amazing Subed
This series fills my dark soul with light
