I liked the idea during the 90s where Emma's telepathy is not consider omega level but she is very skilled in using it. If there was a pH degree for telepathy, Emma is so skilled that she can basically do anything with her telepathy. She has a doctorate degree of sorts. This also explained why she dislike Jean as Jean was born a omega level telepath. Their rivalry was the classic SKILL VS TALENT. Emma worked hard and has no moral inhibitions in using her powers to get her way while Jean was born with talent as being naturally good at what she does but uses restraint to not overdo and hurt people. Their contrast was an amazing story during grant morrison's run of new x-men. Must read!
I agree but there’s two things that I feel like should be included.
Emma use to be part of the hellfire club and she alongside her goons played a big role in Jean going mental and turning into dark phoenix where she destroyed an entire solar system and wiped out a civilisation.
Another thing is the telepathic affair between Emma and Scott. And if I remember correctly, Jean sent hell upon her with the phoenix her which killed her physical form before Jean put her body back together?
Jean Grey has no real rivals in telpathy anymore. Her telepathy feats in the last 10 years are God like.
Emma and Jean's rivalry was one of the best in Marvel Comic Universe. they are the real Fire and Ice.

To those asking why she has so powers, understand that you're misconstruing powers and abilities. She has two powers, diamond form and telepathy. Her abilities are so broad because of how she's learned to make the most effective use of them. THAT'S what makes her so powerful. ✨💎✨
I don't really agree since the majority of telepaths cannot do what she does.
For example, Charles can't fucking swap bodies.
Entire plot lines about clones would be ruined if he could.
Using her mental energy as a force ghost ect, that's absolutely its own power. Given there are NON telepathic characters with these abilities...
And and don't forget without being a super genius she can somehow process immense amounts of data in real time...
Like taking in a decades for of memories and sorting out the order of events while having a conversation... That's another mental power right there.

She has latent Telekenesis ( When Jean did use Emma's body she found out Emma have this ability she manage to fly and move heavy objects and create Shield ).

This is a fantastic video. Just a few things I'd like to add to the info:
- Emma's diamond form doesn't just enhance her physical strikes. It gives her incredible durability (yes, the movies failed horribly at portraying this. She's literally taken hits from the Hulk at his angriest and blasts from Cyclops and her diamond form didn't even crack... She's not as physically strong as other bruisers like Colossus, the Thing, or the Hulk, but she's shown to be more durable than Colossus and many others. The only way she's been broken is to either get hit by godly levels of power, as seen when a Celestial's blast managed to break her arm off. The other method is to hit her flaw point, a small vulnerable spot located somewhere between her upper nose and lower forehead. Hit that precise spot with enough force, and she will entirely shatter.
- Even if her diamond body shatters, she will not die. She lives on as a being of purely psychic energy, until someone puts her body back together. In the comics, when this happened, Jean telekinetically repaired Emma's body on a molecular level and Emma's psychic form re-entered her body.
-Emma's psychic range is unknown. We've seen her use her telepathy from Earth to Mars with minimal effort. Who knows how far her telepathy reaches if she actually tried to push herself.
- Her psionic blasts/lightning are so powerful that she once harmed the Phoenix Force itself and in that battle, her psychic blast literally blew up the building physically. On another occasion, psychically restrained the Phoenix Force long enough to create an opening for Jean Grey to attack it.
- Her familial weakness is not just with her sister. Her brother, Christian Frost, is also resistant to her psychic powers. This is common among mutants. For example, Cyclops and Havok cannot hurt each other with their energy blasts. For some reason, mutant siblings seem unable to use their powers against each other. At least the energy based ones. Not sure if this works for physical based mutations.
- She doesn't need to eat, drink, and doesn't feel pain in diamond form, both physical pain and emotional pain. She also doesn't age in diamond form.

Emma didn't exactly absorb Astrid's powers, the way Astrid attacked her, trying to imprison Emma's psyche in her own was a dumb thing to use against another telepath and Emma learnt everything Astrid knew from that attack. She then possibly destroyed Astrid's mind

Nearly every mutant power is terrifying in their own way. However one of my favorite interactions in the X-Men series from an issue I can't remember the number of, involved the Stepford Cuckoos (Emma's clone protégés) and someone suggesting they try to peer into Majiks mind and thoughts. (Majik is the sister of Colossus)
The collective response was " We don't go in her head, it's scary in there."

There’s a mutant whose power is that she can turn into paper, i kid you not. But she slays.
I thoroughly like Emma. She's fierce, resourceful and intelligent. In terms of her super abilities, Emma's telepathy is top tier ( making her one of the World's most powerful telepaths along with Charles, Jean, Cassandra Nova, Exodus, Sinister, etc..). Her diamond form grants her near-invulnerability from physical harm and can negate mental intrusion/attacks. She is an Alpha level mutant along with Charles Xavier. But even Emma has noted that she will never reach her full potential, mainly because of how her telepathy works. When she uses her telepathy , it's to pinpoint one's weakness ( hence control them). Along with the fact that she's cold and calculating. This is nearly opposite of Jean who's alot more empathic and warm ( which is perhaps why Jean is alot more powerful along with the fact that she's an omega level mutant). Great video.
And they make her look pathetic in the movie, lol

@@lancekemal8989 Sorta, lol. Nate can, sure, but Legion has literally been stated to lose against Emma Frost. There was a future (of the 616 timeline, not an alternate timeline) where the X-men were unable to stop Legion. Emma as the final X-man standing, pushed into Legion's mind and slaughtered every personality he had in there until nothing was left. If Emma can do that, so can Xavier and Cassandra Nova.
Franklin is a bit of a weird case. An adult Franklin could beat them, but not young him. He's got the raw power, but lacks the skill/finesse, and when it comes to telepathy, both power and skill/finesse matter a ton.

Love the video. Astrid and Emma didn’t have a simple disagreement though, Astrid was a serial killer who manipulated Emma. (like when Emma went on a date, Astrid mind controlled him to attack her) She then foolishly imprisoned Emma in her own psyche. Emma broke out of her restraints, saw memories of her past (including her murdering her own parents) before turning her brains to mush from the inside out.
Astrid was comatose and Emma absorbed her skills. It’s possible that the trauma of the battle, and rapidly downloading Astrid’s knowledge, have Emma her English accent as Astrid was from London. While Emma’s family descends from the UK and they likely have old many accents, I don’t think anyone commented on her English accent before this.
was looking for this. I was a little conflicted as someone that isnt that familiar with the xmen franchise. It seemed kinda off to me that the origin of her true potential made it look like she was more of a villain in this video. I got confused as to why she was presented more as a hero but one search of bloom made me realize why emma did that-

Some mutants are born with two distinctly different supernatural abilities. Jean Grey was one. Legion had many, but it manifested in dissociative identities.
What was Jean Grey's second ability? The first is Psionic powers.

@@mischkamonserrate5583 Psionics is not one power though. It's a category of powers. Jean's primary power is telepathy but she also has telekinesis as her second power. To give a bit of an example, elemental manipulation would be a category of powers, but if a person can control ice and fire, they have 2 separate powers that fall into the larger category of elemental manipulation. I hope that makes sense.

I saw a Back-up Feature, where Emma is dressing at the Hellfire Club, and catches a Maid thinking Poorly of her, for ALLOWING herself to be Used like that(whereas she gets Paid for the outfits). Emma describes the Corset-ish White Queen outfit as her "Battle Armor", and she prepares, while sexily donning her stockings, for her Every Move is a fight. After Slowly and Carefully dressing, she walks into the Control Room with Shaw and Leland,(Black King, Black Bishop) hands them a file, and walks out. She explains to the Maid, that for those seconds, Every thought in the room was on Her; thus She Wins!
It is her Ability to use the Long-Game, Chess Match, choosing her Time, Place, and Manner to Strategically Dominate her Rivals, that makes her one of the Most Dangerous people in the Marvel Universe.

That's how in older arcs she mentality controlled the whole planet into thinking Cyclops was still alive. They downplay how insanely smart she is. It's why in the hellfire club she was considered equals to Selene a mutant ruler that's older than most living creators
If the writter will make her DIAMOND FORM UNDESTRUCTABLE ( make it par with Juggaernaut and can create unlimited weapon she wants ) and allows her have access on her Telekenesis and Telepath. I don't know why but i want her to learn magic since.

She only has two actual abilities though: telepathy and her diamond form. She's just so skilled and pushed both of her powers to the limit to discover more flexible uses for them and refine her powers.

He is considered omega level. Most omega level mutants only have one omega level ability which makes them omega. And not only one person is bound to be omega. Many people can be considered omega level in the same power field. It's not limited. However they would be know for being omega level in their specific power. Such as telepathy. He would still be considered omega level due to having an omega level power. Atleast that's how they brought back or started to stage them again in power levels. I'm not sure what scale most people are using today but he'd be considered omega level mutant even if it's just one power.

Beta/alpha/omega. A Betta mutant power is a mutant power that can't change the environment around them in any way like psionic power to move things or blast a hole in a wall or bring down a building. It's physical mutations/ benefits. Like Beast who's harry and blue and super strong. Or toad long tongue frog like skin.
Beta mutants effect the world around them and can change it's state. Such as leveling a few buildings or causing the air to freeze around you.
Omega are mutants who's power can effect everything around them on a disaster level scale. Take storm for example. She can manipulate weather however it goes beyond that. She isn't just limited to earths atmosphere she can control other planets atmospheres. Or Emma frost. She can. Communicate with telepathy across planets.
Now if you go to the other scale there is beyond omega level mutantants ect. I just feel like at that point we are nitpicking with that list.
For example one telepath exists in the comics who can communicate across the universe not just planets apart.
This is a character I hated 15 years ago but come to appreciate after House of X.

She simply swap minds with Storm and was able to use Storm’s powers which I still don’t know how that was possible because both women powers are psionic (of the mind) but Emma was able to use Storm’s power and Storm was able to use Emma’s powers to the point that Storm was able to switch them back. This made Storm far more resistant to Emma’s telepathy and Prof X is not Omega-Level mutant, like Emma, he’s only a World-Class. Jean Grey is the only Omega-Level Telepath and is unmatched by any other psychic. Emma struggled with trying to silence Sabertooth but it took Jean to fry his mind making him obedient.
Well, you're mostly correct. Yes, Jean is more powerful than Emma, but Emma and Xavier are both very powerful and beat most of the other telepaths pretty easily. Jean is the exception as the Omega of course. Also, Emma didn't struggle to silence Sabretooth. She didn't exert any effort, but yeah, she didn't completely silence him with that little effort, whereas Jean did. But I still think if she had tried harder, Emma could do the same thing, but it would just require more effort from her (because Sabretooth has decent telepathic resistance but not on the level to resist characters like Emma or Xavier).

She's not up there with Jean and Nate, sure, but she is equal to Xavier, which has been stated multiple times in X-men books across different decades. Emma doesn't have to try hard to do much. She has only really struggled when she's using her telepathy to fight the Phoenix Force. Aside from that, she's never been pushed to her limits. She's actually never lost to another telepath besides Jean. Jean and Nate are the most powerful telepaths out there (highest tier). Xavier, Emma, and Cassandra Nova are all around the same level after that (2nd highest tier). Then all the other telepaths come afterwards.
Emma is above Legion (who has been canonically stated to be beaten by Emma in a pure telepathic fight), Kid Omega (who has been overpowered by Emma 3 separate times), and Cable (whose telepathic feats are nowhere close to Emma's). She may lose to some of them in terms of all of their powers and weapons combined, but in terms of telepathy, her feats are superior to theirs.

@@LarryDWilmore79 Legion was once that powerful yes, but recently, his telepathic feats, while still impressive, have not been up to Jean's level. It's partially due to writers' portrayals of both, but also the new Omega system. Jean is the Omega Telepath now and none of the others are, so her telepathy does exceed the others now, including Legion (he's an Omega Power Manifestor, meaning he can manifest any power, but those powers themselves are not limitless). I agree that if we use his old feats, Emma is weaker, but if we only look at their recent portrayals, the writers rarely write Legion's telepathy to that height anymore while Emma's just slowly and consistently been getting more powerful for quite a while. It's also not based on my opinion at all. New Mutants #9 stated that if the New Mutants didn't stop Legion in the Utopia era, Emma would have done it by entering his mind and destroyed his personalities. So I'm just going off of the info we were told.

Correction, Emma Frost is not an Omega Level Mutant, but an "Omage Class Telepath". Unless she was stated to be one in the last couple years, she is not on the list of official omega level mutants, with the only listed omega level telepaths (at least frmo Earth 616) being Jean Grey and Kid Omega. Not even Charles Xavier is considered an omega level telepath, and he's stronger than Emma Frost.
I think that to Emma and professor Xavier be considered a omega level they need to be able to use their mind control in the whole world as Jean Grey already did on her Psionic Form without Phoenix possessing her body, they can wide abroad their range at world level only when they are using cerebro to access every mind and find new mutants, but i dont know if they can use it to control every mind or connect every mind as Jean Grey did, maybe i am misinformated but that is my opinion, dont watch my english grammar😁 i am not a fluent or native speaker. xD
Literally Emma doesnt get enough credit. Shes a fricking beast and has her own specialty in telepathy. We all know her secondary mutation hinders her power. Im waiting for a writer to explore it
Emma doesn't have the ability to switch minds with other people. The time she did it with Storm was the result of a device the Hellfire Club invented.

She body swapped with Iceman without a device. Also, when she body swapped with Storm, she used the device to do it the first time, but when they swapped back, no device was used.
There’s something off about all of your statements lol. The hellfire club didn’t invent the device that switched Emma and Storms bodies, Emma did. She’s basically a genius with technology, which is an attribute marvel seems to have ignored for the past 30 years.
She and Bobby did switch bodies but y’all are saying that like it’s one of her powers, it’s not. She was in a coma and its purely by accident that the switch happened. She was also in jeans body too but again, it was an accident. She can’t just switch bodies with people on a whim, that’s not nor has it ever been a power she posses.

I preferred Emma Frost with Scott Summers rather then Jean Grey. She & Scott made each other better. In the worst mutant period, Emma & Scott led the X-Men & the mutants. Not any of the other Quiet Council members. Mystique & Destiny are among the most selfish of all the mutants. We have them & not Scott. Since Jean Grey came back, Emma has become more morally questionable & Scott has become just another mutant soldier (Captain) & not a leader. Many of the villains he beat as an X-man leader are now his bosses on the Quiet Council. It is like Jean Grey neutered him so he doesn't lead & has to accept Wolverine. I hope Scott still has access to the phoenix egg & can become a leader outside of the Council. This is the one part of Hickman's take on mutants I do not like.

Jean was always the worse part of the X-Men when ever she's alive she makes Scott and the others worse. One thing Emma's failing in the Hickman arc is that she became a hypocrite like ALL the other leaders. Honestly the Hickman arc requires a full Marvel reboot to fix

So back when that statement was made, Exodus said it was Jean, Xavier, Emma, Exodus, and Mr. Sinister. Nowadays, I would say it's Jean, Emma, Xavier, Cassandra Nova, and Exodus. Cassandra is the twin sister of Xavier and very much psychotic and ruthless. Her, Xavier, and Emma are all about equal but whereas Emma and Xavier will often have restraint with their powers until someone pisses them off, Cassandra has no problem doing all types of messed up things with her powers.
Jean on top on every level then the 2nd to 5th is a toss up between xavier, emma, cassandra, kid omega.
@@Archaic_Ambivert Cassandra, Xavier, and Emma are all tied for 2nd. Kid Omega doesn't have the feats and has been overpowered by pretty much every other telepath. Emma alone has overpowered him three times and two of those times were just with raw power, no skill or finesse, which is Emma's actual area of strength.
@Seraphim Rosenhart that is true. But Kid Omega is an omega level telepath so maybe sooner or later he might really go up the ranks. Kinda funny that 2nd to 5th places are always being debated while the top spot is usually unanimous.
January plays the perfect Emma, Halle as storm, Famke as Jean/Phoenix and Rebecca as mystique. Ugh why can't they have all of em in one movies

Emma Frost is also a telekinetic. But, it doesn't come easy too her as telepathy. Emma Frost is one of the few mutants that can outclass Nate Grey, Jean Grey, and Professor X. Her Diamond form is so strong, she sent Colossus flying wit mh one punch. Believe it or not, she's also one of the smartest characters in Marvel as well(her telepathic abilities has something to do with it_no natural aptitude). And she actually invents her own equipment(besides runninga billion dollar company). Don't let the playboy outfits fool you.
No way in hell that Emma outclasses Nate Grey or Xavier.

She is a talented telepath. The White Queen of the Hellfire club is a formidable foe and headmaster opposite of Xavier Institute. Anything telepathic is her specialty (possesion, mental projection, astral projection, mind wipe and splice, empathy , and what i so dearly miss is her psibolts that can fry brains). Her diamond form was ... as said in the post, was a 2nd mutation. She absorbed all the negative energies in the island massacre of sentinels in Genosha. Making her cold and mentally inaccessible, making her mutation inactive as well but diamond hard and sharp.
