    This is a good honest review. I am a big ridgid fan, and I agree its not class leading stuff, but it still provides an excellent value.

    One of my pals loves ridgid power tools and swears by the brand. I'm impressed with the brand but not ready to switch. Love the videos. Keep up the great work.

      +Brien that's awesome bro, that black Friday deal was pretty good. What do you think about them? Also I have a bazillion deals posted on the Tool Craze website you should check out. I'm posting them regularly

    One thing I dont care for is the led lights placed around the chuck. I prefer the old design with the light on the bottom. When you are using a large socket it can completely block the light. Its a minor complaint, but the old design didn't have that issue.

    another great video Javier, really liking this new line from Ridgid...I think they have a really good design for a lower end tool and while the performance may not be as good as some the price you pay reflects the difference. I have a few Ridgid corded tools but no cordless....I may have to rectify that in the near future....Christmas present anyone???...lol

    Yet another informative tool review bro, thanks. Do you know when the new DEWALT DCF887 impact will be available to purchase, it really looks sweet. I was just going over to the dark side and purchase the new Miwaukee second GEN M18 Impact but it looks like now I'll wait to check out the new DEWALTs, thanks again for taking the time to do theses videos

      +Joey Segreti Thanks. I just wrote an article about that impact driver on the Tool Craze website www.toolcraze.net about a week ago and at the time it wasn't on any retailers online site for sale. I'm not sure exactly when it will come out but it should be soon.

    I have noticed that this impact driver feels much heavier than my Dewalt dcf886, while using 4.0 AH batteries for both. Good review though, Thanks

    Got the brushless gen 5x impact driver bare tool for $80 dollars im impress so far have the gen 5x combo kit and are LSA now but wanted a brushless impact driver and impressed so far great review now just waiting for ridgid to approve my LSA for the brushless impact driver

    • @SweetStat
      @SweetStat 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How does the brushless compare to the brushed?

    • @DanielGomez-cf6vk
      @DanielGomez-cf6vk 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SweetStat it got 250 in poundsnof torque more if it’s for screws not much but a little more improvement on the brushless and it won’t get hot with the brushless model if you have the brushed model I don’t really recommend it only if you want to go the brushless route

    • @SweetStat
      @SweetStat 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Gomez thanks. i already got the brushless as well as the gen4x, was just interested in were the gen 5x brushed fits in between. Never got to play around with it much

    • @DanielGomez-cf6vk
      @DanielGomez-cf6vk 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SweetStat if you have the brushed x4 keep it the only new feature is the 3 speed but it’s just a little more powerful that’s it and if it’s LSA even better

      what makes you think that?

    • @28samz
      @28samz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tool Craze I can't really tell what speed it was on. Sorry, the camera passed it at some point and it looked like it was on Speed 2...

    • @ToolCraze
      @ToolCraze  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always test tools in their best performing modes unless otherwise stated so in the video. Can't remember if this is a 3 speed impact or 4 speed but it was on its highest speed. Hope that helps

    • @28samz
      @28samz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tool Craze thank you I appreciate that you responded! Great videos. I like that you actually use the tools in the demo unlike others that just show them!

    Yes, it is sure easy to get that bit out with one hand, but then one is liable to be searching about the floor for the bit that just JUMPED out! Sure, one needs to put one's hand around the end to avoid spitting the bit very far. However, if in doing this a person could just as well pull it out as per usual without the SPRING action. Also, after spitting out the bit this unit has the annoying quality of jumping back into the locked position so one has to pull out on the end again before putting the next bit into its chuck. Overall, the tool is fine and it has very good power and control, but I am not so impressed with its bit spitting chuck. Oh, and the extra switch for the light is a bad idea. The light keeps coming when the tool is in my bag. I can lock the trigger fine, but why does anyone need a separate switch for the lights? Who comes up with such worthless ideas as that extra switch? The trigger already has a switch built-into it and this is where the ONLY switch should be.

      +Scoszko 35 thanks, the 3 led set up is my favorite. A few power tools have this and it works out great with very little shadows.
