Welcome to ussukitchen In today's video, I'm going to show you how to make soft and delicious Godhuma Pindi Chapati, also known as whole wheat roti. This traditional Indian bread is healthy, easy to make, and pairs perfectly with any curry or side dish
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour (godhuma pindi)
Water, as needed
A pinch of salt (optional)
1 tsp oil (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.
Add the oil (if using) and mix well.
Gradually add warm water, a little at a time, and knead the mixture into a smooth, soft dough. This should take about 5-10 minutes.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 15-30 minutes.
Divide and Roll:
After resting, divide the dough into equal-sized balls, about the size of a golf ball.
Lightly flour a rolling surface and roll each ball into a thin, round disc (about 6-8 inches in diameter). Ensure the discs are evenly rolled to avoid thick spots.
Cook the Chapati:
Heat a flat skillet or tawa over medium-high heat.
