This is the best video on a no knead bread!
    Uncomplicated and right on!
    Thank you!
I am sending it to my sweet daughter-in love so she can try it too.

Yay, I am so glad it it's been helpful. For the longest time I thought a Dutch oven was essential. Once I figured out this Pyrex method, I knew I had to share it so that more people can make easy, crusty bread at home

Could you add cheese to the dough or other spices like rosemary? I’m trying this out tomorrow! So excited!

Absolutely!! This is a basic recipe that lends itself so well for a wide range of flavor variations.

It sure is! I love how much more flavorful bread gets by sitting overnight

I will definitely try this recipe, can I use whole meal flour for this recipe?

    • @Leelalicious
      @Leelalicious  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes you can. The bread will be denser but still delicious

I've had ingredients for months but been so afraid to do this. Just followed your easy recipe and the dough is in a covered bowl for overnight rising. I am very, very new, like brand new to baking bread so I scooped the flower out of the bag and oops, it was a heavy lot of flour and stayed very crumbly and dry. I added another 1/4 cup of water and it seems okay. Whew! Why is this so scary? It's ridiculous to be so afraid of live yeast and stuff, (eww).
Anyway I think the half teaspoon of yeast was okay but I added a little extra salt with the extra water but really don't know what will happen tomorrow. Really hope I don't have bad dreams of dough growing across my kitchen. 🙃

I am so honored you chose my recipe for your first bread baking experiments. No need to be scared. I understand that it can seem intimidating at first. But you'll just have to chalk up any failures as practice. Any skill needs practice. In no time you will get a feel for when the dough it just right.

@@Leelalicious Thank you, it actually turned out good! Wish I could post a pic because the bottom had black spots exactly like yours, I followed your time even with the added heavy flour. Just can't believe I baked a loaf of bread haha! That was great. The smell reminded me church as a little girl and the women baking bread for communion. Thanks again for the simple instructions and the confidence your video somehow gave, I've wanted to try this for 20 years and now am even looking at bigger Dutch ovens, maybe 6qt to double recipe and bigger loaves. 😊

No need to knead, for crusty bread,
the dough, you say, though I was led,
once to believe, it was essential.
    Upon your demonstration - shame!
I saw it working, all the same,
    and their proof seem circumstantial.
So before I go to bed, I will note, that I shall spread,
this tale of bread made without kneading.
And they shall witness, without reading,
the direct proof on video, instead of me just saying so.
Right after, hereto, nudged their heading,
let me, now, crawl into my bedding.
'tis yet one more thing on my mind,
which I feel, that I must share,
for my nightly peace, to find,
    - have you heard this, anywhere?
Long story short, would be, I guess:
That English spelling IS A MESS!
