Looks delicious . Never tried seasoned fried banana blossom before. Thank u for sharing. I was also wondering what u did with yhe cornmeal batter? Hopefully u made hot water cornbread with it
I really enjoyed my first fried blossoms but boy. Pulling out all those pistils..... that part is so discouraging. Got one can left. Imma give it another go
You can get them in the international section of a supermarket. Most likely in a more urban area. Or am international market. Or probably somewhere like whole foods or Trader Joe’s.
I have no problem calling it banana blossom, which is in the title. This is for people who are transitioning into a plant based lifestyle and want to have something the reminds of them of fish. It’s an easier search term as everyone may not know what a banana blossom is.
@plantbasedmello5935 When you see comments like that, it is normally from individuals who are still processing animal meat. They don't understand the description is for individuals who have decided to leave the meat along and go vegan. So in order 2 make a comfortable transition, you try to find things to mimic. What you love to eat, so you don't digress back. Just ignore comments like that. You did a great job.
Best Vegan Fish Recipe I've ever tasted. My eyes were watering so good.

Thanks for the recipe. It looks so delicious! However, when you drain the brine, do you have to pat the banana blossom dry?

Your mold could definitely benefit from one of those Japanese batter molds shaped like fish. 😄

Where do you purchase banana blossom from? What website or vendor because Amazon has terrible reviews & $23 a can
If you have an international market near you, try that. Like Hmart, fresh world, foodmaxx etc. I have only seen it fresh.
Try your local Asian Market. They normally have great prices on canned jackfruit, canned banana blossoms and other fruit and veggies.
Frfr that way lol
post the recipe--then and only then will I consider a donation...
So tired of You Tubers posting this recipe yet no recommendations of what and how to get 'good' 'eatable' canned banana blossoms!

Asian markets have it.
Amazon has it too
Just eat the real fish and stop lying to yourselves
Just call it what it is man. Fried banana blossom. Must we continue to live in delusion?
