    NEC 2017 Edition, Article 215.2, Minimum Rating and Size (A)
    Feeders Not More Than 600 Volts (1) General (a), page 70-67.
    “Where a feeder supplies a continuous loads or any combination of continuous and non-continuous loads, the minimum conductor feeder size shall have an allowable ampacity not less than the non - continuous loads plus 125 percent of the continuous load”.

    May I suggest that when calculating the voltage drop can we consider the highest possible ambient temperature(hottest) which example is 50 deg. centigrade in that effect we will convert the resistance and reactance value given in the cable catalogue base on new temp.(50 deg. centigrade) in order to check the voltage drop in the worse case scenario. Thank you

      When you always considered the highest ambient temperature, the size of the cable will be larger. Yes it's safer, but it will have an effect on the initial cost of the project.

    Boss pwede bang maglagay ng step up transformer sa dulo pra ma compensate ang voltage drop? Para makatipid sa size ng wire.. 450 m distance.. 23amps ang load.. 3phase..230 volts

    Boss ang office namin 3phase line to line 240v. Ang nang yari nag test ako line 1 to ground 115v, line2 to ground 115v, ang problema line3 to ground is 200v. Pa help naman tnx.

      Possible cause nyan is Hindi balance ung loading Ng panel n nagsusupply sa office nyo. Db as much as possible pag gumawa tyo Ng load schedule kailangan almost equal ung loads nya per phase. Maaring maraming loads sa line 3 nyo

    paano po sir if xlpe na lang gagamitin namin instead of 7 sets 300mmsq thhn based sa computed 525.75 amp. 230vac, 3ph,60hz po. magging ilang sets po kaya xlpe ito na 50 or 70 mmsq po. thanks

      Ginagamit po un sa pagkuha/pag compute Ng de-rated ampacity ng cable. Ung k1, k2 po is ung correction factor base s ambient temperature at grouping Ng pagkakainstalled Ng cable.

      @@naso3x ung sample kc boss n binigay ko is ung project ko mismo. Ung pec kc halos the same lng ng nec.kaya nagbigay ako ng article number ng nec at pec para d maligaw ung manonood.
      Mas magandang gamitin sa calculation kung ano ung approved cable data.

      Kung 3sets boss, Tama multiply mo sa 3 ung ampacity ng cable. Kung 305 ung ampacity ng cable,so magiging 915 amp n ung total ampacity
