Hi, that is an almost impossible question to answer. In outright terms the 14 is an evolution of the 11. It is faster, better braked, better handling, has some electronic aids (TC etc) but does that make it a better bike? On the surface it would seem yes...........but.......the 11 is a fantastic machine to ride. The handling can be improved a great deal with a few modifications (some with no cost), the bike is still a very fast machine and most owners will never use all the performance available, it is full of character, sounds wonderful, looks great. In my opinion, the superbikes of the 90's were the last motorcycles that force you, as a rider to use all your skills, no electronic aids that make riding easier and because of that the rider feels a sense of achievement after pushing the bike through, for example, a fast twisty road. The rise in popularity of adventure bikes and nakeds indicates that the market has moved away from the "Outright speed machines" so the 11 is a shining example of a period of time when speed was everything and Kawasaki ruled. I am sorry if this does not answer your question but when people ask me "which is best" the answer is much more than numbers on a page.
