Great point Hira. I had a bad undergrad GPA and addressed it in my essay. Not to dwell on it... but to illustrate how I have rebounded.

    The intro is amazing!
I would like to ask for a suggestion. Is it okay to start the SOP with a question , whose answer piqued my interest?
Thank you for making these amazing videos.

Thank you so much and of course! Start whatever way you want - it's YOUR personal statement! There's no right or wrong way to do it as long as you address what they want to know - e.g. Why are you applying, future plans, your experience, and all the other things we talk about in these videos. Starting with a question is different and interesting in my opinion and it'd be interesting to then link it to your motivation for applying. Best of luck!

Is it only for personal statement? Can we start a cover letter in this way? Most universities require a cover letter.

Hi! No need for a heading on the document! They will know it's a personal statement.
