JR has typical New Orleans man trauma. I understood why he carries himself the way he does as soon as I found out he was from the city. It doesn’t matter the color when you are growing up in that struggle but he’s intelligent and that’s how he got out but it’s still in him. At least he recognizes and acknowledges his privilege. I can’t judge his situation with Tamar because she also has some toxicity and Trauma. He seems like a solid dude outside of his relationships… A lot of them are. Love them as a friend but not a mate.

💯 he also reminds me of many brothers here in New York City too. That trauma comes from the intersectional negative impacts of the environment, i.e. the streets, and socioeconomics. Especially my handsome suited-up BM from the Bronx. Yes, they make cool ass friends, but don't sleep with them or fall in love. Phew. Starts with love bombing and can end all sorts of ways. Peace.
Edit: ...and he speaks about himself in 3rd person (by his own name). Also not a good sign.
2nd Edit: After watching, another behavioral science thing I confirmed. I speculated but now he said it... he lost his mother. Parental abandonment, as well as the various forms of abuse, are common impacts that can affect your adult personality and behaviors. I think Tamar has only attracted another narc. He's just a bit covert. No wonder he messed with Tommie to hurt her back. Besides him being naturally attracted to her, Tommie probably reminds him of his Mom. Tommie had or has an alleged substance abuse problem. Ok, I digress. This is a lot. 🙏

It is good to finally get to see him in this interview speak about his background and who he really is. I just hate that he and Tamar got swept-up in the social media hype. I think if they had kept their relationship off of social media, they probably would better have thrived.

This man is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. My discernment sees right through his charm, laid hair, and smooth suits.
Something is NOT right with him. Y’all are so easily fooled.

I wonder how many young black men in the same situation were given the same leniency and opportunity as him from the same community.

I watched one of those dateline 2020 shows where a young man went into somebody’s house and killed them, got out of the penitentiary and went on to become a doctor. He was white.

Great interview. But.... I'm irritated that he kept saying he protected her but he embarrassed her in a short period so much more than Vince did their entire marriage.
