After so many years of me working on a Mac finally someone explains this feature in a way that it actually isn't confusing anymore but actually seeming rather worthwile!

You are amazing! Thank you for explaining everything so clearly - not a wasted word. In an ideal world you would be sat alongside me as I work, but being only a few clicks away is the next best thing.. There are so many questions out there and you always have the answer. Thank you.

Wow, Gary. Every time I read the heading of one of your new videos I go "Duh! I know how to use that function - Gimme something new!" And then when I watch said video, you simply blow me out of my chair with usability and functions that go into a whole new level. Thanks man, you never disappoint!

Thanks, Gary, for a complete, including settings, video on Spaces/Desktops PROFESSIONALLY done. Having done dozens of professional software training videos myself, I can appreciate a pro and focus on learning rather than cursing under my breath as someone stumbles around the subject, obviously unprepared. I have subscribed and you will be my first reference for any OS X issues going forward. THANK YOU!

This is FANTASTIC! THANKS! I thought I was pretty good with multiple desktops but for most of this I HAD NO IDEA. Especially love turning off the annoying "features" that I don't like (like jumping to the desktop with open app) and turning on great new things like "Hot Corners". Thanks again - you rock!

I was dying to have this explained, as there is very little documentation on it. Thank you so much for making this video! It's important to understand how this screen flipping works (even if we HATE it!) Maybe if I stop fighting with this feature I won't hate it as much.

PRO TIP!!! Each new desktop can have it's own background desktop picture. 2 finger tap on each desktop and choose a new background photo. Now when you swipe between desktops it gives the impression of a completely new workspace. I assign apps to only "live" on certain desktops. There you go, no extra charge.

Using multiple desktops can be hugely beneficial. I do statistical analysis and have a statistics program, editor, and document file open on 1 desktop, work email and finder window on another, browser, personal email and another finder on yet a 3rd. I used to use two monitors but actually find this more convenient. I am using a 27" iMac.

    Hi Gary,
Thanks for your great content. I'm a big fan of fullscreen desktop views. I was wondering if there's a way the mac can remember the set-up and when you start up the computer it launches with your preferred set-up? My go-to is: D1: My working area + browsing, D2: Things + Ulysses split view, D3: Superhuman (Email), D4: Fantastical + occasionally another space depending on what I do. Ps. I tried the Control-Click but it doesn't show up on Big Sur beta. Thanks.
