Cant really blame them too much, every game, DLC and update has a risk of having issues that can break the game. They need to add in a theater mode to rematch cutscenes.
i like the implication that our guardian (aka, THE guardian) really liked cayde as a friend, and as such, is just totally fucking shocked to see him. we canonically broke our vow of silence back in forsaken to declare revenge. ever since we became more chatty. it’s cool to see, in a way
@@rabidchinchilla3447 in shadowkeep, the guardian said “Eris Morn” when they saw eris morn lol i think they really grew to like Eris, too, since she’s saved our life multiple times. in destiny 1 the guardian didn’t talk very much at all, especially not to Eris, and the ghost memed on her a lot. there were a couple of times where ghost said something like “Now I think she’s just being deliberately creepy” and Eris would groan in frustration
@@Hydrodictyon it was basically an unspoken vow of silence. in destiny 1 we pretty much stopped talking after the black garden. i can’t think of any dialogue that came after that all the way up to the point of forsaken in destiny 2. that’s a LONG time to not talk. characters began mentioning how seldom we talk, including our own ghost and even Cayde when he was on his deathbed. he could see we were shocked at his being fatally wounded, but even still he was like “How do I look?” and after our silence he says “Speechless, typical…” i think that was the point where our guardian was fed up lol
Pisses me off that I got sent back to orbit before even getting to see any of this. Got to the Pale Heart, saw Cayde standing there and was extremely confused.

I was lucky enough to get through the first mission and curscene without being kicked. But my boss fucking called me THE MOMENT this cutscene started playing. Thanks for the upload dude

I never got to see the cutscene start. Just kick and was told to go talk to Cayde with no fanfare.
The musical sting of “The Man They Called Cayde” in the background or on his harmonica gives me goosebumps every time.
Why are so many of us getting kicked at this pivotal point in the campaign? I missed all of this due to servers.

The guardian first spoke in the forsaken campaign, telling Zavala that they would pursue uldren. I think they also said something in shadowkeep.

I was lucky enough to DC RIGHT after the cutscenes. But I kept getting "contacting Destiny 2 servers" until then. Felt the chaos.
Mine didn't load the first part so I only got the comic style scene, knew something felt off, glad I came to check
