At least Cayde died with this favorite guardian by his side, laughing and joking as he always did. I miss him. He is the reason I chose to be a hunter. He, although he is just code, inspired me to be like him. Try to be funny, take risks and opportunities, and overall i like him a lot.

what sucks for me is that i played every ounce of destiny 1 and grew with cayde..i didn’t get destiny 2 (for some dumb reason) until a year ago. i missed out on the red war and all the cutscenes that were involved. it sucks because i had to just read the lore instead of experiencing it

I started back then as a new light... got a fresh taste of the start of the Forsaken campaign, got to know and love Cayde and then... he died and i didnt know that this part of the content was about to get vaulted... every day i mourn how i was not able to replay it, only once... i want to play the Forsaken campaign, i want to play the Red War! The destiny franchise was kinda braking apart after the bad reviews for Curse of Osiris and Warmind so Bungie knew killing Cayde would bring back all the players they lost. They did it purely for money and drawing in more players

Savathun took controle of Riven to manipulate Uldren. By killing Cayde all the Hunter scouts were lost so everyone was blind to Savathuns plan to sneek into the city as Osiris. Without Cayde the Vanguard is braking apart leaving the Guardians disorganized. This was shown when Lachmi nearly tore the city up starting riots over the house of light
i have to say that when cayde shoots the golden gun i laughed, it’s just so dumb, shooting it at ships literally so far a sniperrifle couldn’t hit them

And when he returned as Crow I wished that bungie would've just killed him off too. Was such a let down to see him return with a "redemption" arc like any good he could do could've ever made up for all the good Cayde could've done if he was around. Dude didn't even have enough guts to take up Cayde's Vanguard Dare three years after plugging him. Fuck the rest of the vanguard at that point, I'm making a bet with all my fellow hunters that whoever removes that stain from the world gets the job.

I find all Hunter Guardians seek vengeance sounds a lot more appropriate than any other class guardians, Cayde was their mentor after all.
