Next to Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is", I believe that Journey's "Faithfully" is one of the greatest rock ballads of all time.
It's also one of the most difficult to sing.
Let me explain!
It's one thing to have a lot of dynamic range for singing a song. It's also quite another to evoke such incredible passion and emotion and to literally live the story while you are singing it.
Few people have the ability and capacity to pull this off.
For this reason, I thought it was important to showcase that we have combined technique with artistry, passion, and emotion.
I believe Kati did a phenomenal job in capturing the essence of Steve Perry and his original performance of "Faithfully."

This is a beautiful Journey cover. Kati is fantastic! She has a powerful set of pipes. That was outstanding the way she belted out her singing voice in the end of the song. I love this song. Steve Perry would be very proud of her. 👏👏👍👍

Katy is a true performer with a voice of an angel. There isn’t anything she can’t do. Someone sign her up and get her a great band. A true talent.
Kati is fabulous! She became a fast favorite to me! And her singing here, as I've always heard from her, is absolutely amazing! She has that beautiful combination, too, of mild to wild.

'Faithfully' helped define Journey and Steve Perry as Masters of Rock Ballads. While most rock bands of the time had much more male fans, Journey was just the opposite. They had a huge almost cult following of females who absolutely loved them. Females also bought the most records from Journey.

This cover is absolutely fantastic, Kati knocked it out of the park. This is my favourite student cover yet from KTVA. The best singers don’t just sing notes with lyrics, they tell you a story and take you on a journey; and that’s exactly what Kati did. 😊 👏🏼

Kati's former series was impressive already, but now she genuinely radiates with ease and mastery, like she really takes this song where she wants to, be it in terms of raspiness vs purity, chest vs head high notes, plus evolving attitude throughout the song according to lyrics... wow! I am always hyper-critical of vocalists, and I have never said this before, but that was an absolutely perfect rendition of Faithfully. Perfect breath support and control, vowel phrasing, tonal quality, and the intangible of "owning" the song. Just perfect all the way around. Congratulations!

Amazing performance, matured into a top notch promotable singer, over the last three years, such passion, great vocal range , beautiful too to boot, can hack it at any level of song.
