- It's always tons of fun to visit the model railroads of friends in the hobby. In this video, I show you Jim Young's amazing N-scale layout. I last visited Jim and his layout during one of my annual trips to Pennsylvania in 2019, and it was wonderful to visit him and his layout for a second time recently. I want to share Jim's layout with you, because it will inspire you as you work on your own layout.

hello there mr. roy thank you for coming to my house it was a great day for sure hanging out with you and todd and the ladies. it was my perfect birthday wish and weekend that week couldnt have asked for more. cant wait to see your video of todds layout also. i also wanted to say thank you to all that replyed to this video. you humble me with all your praise and i thank you all for it. it is so fulfilling to me as a person and a modelrailroader to hear all your comments. it really means a lot to me and i cant thank you all enough. you all should realize that your railroads have givin me inspiration and ideas along with many others in the train world. my mentor and good friend todd treaster is one of the reasons that i am able to do such stuff he has taught me a lot and i do mean a lot in this hobby over the last 30 plus years. to meet people like roy, todd , steve wilson, mike sabia , vinny, big john t, and a host of others makes me a better person and modler. thank you all again

hello! I came across the video through a related search on TH-cam in South Korea! The diorama as well as the N scale KATO products are so beautifully composed that it is a fun video for the eyes!

what an amazing layout! For the scale train ethusiasts, N scale is the option if we don't have an spare room for it. I will upload on my channel how I made my N layout on a coffee table on a video soon

great layout - I'm not an enthusiast or anything - just stumbled on to this - - when I was a kid I had a friend who's uncle built rideable trains - he had tracks running all around his house and quite the impressive workshop - I only got to see it all just once but it was pretty cool - - I like what this guy has done hear though, very nice, my only suggestions would be to slow the trains down to make look more natural (Just my opinion) also if they sell them, the cars need graffiiti decals or something - that would look awesome

Nice layout but a little too 'clinical' for me. Life is full of wear and tear and we should try to present that side of it too by westhering. Perhaps that's part of the project in the future?

Roy, you werr absolutely correct, it did inspire me, I had the pleasure of visiting Tonys N scale layout from @redbirdtony2010 so haveing seen this and his, i am more motivated to get back to work on my own. Thanks for taking us along. Glad your visit to the states was a safe and happy one.

Can be a very good social exercise with numerous friends operating such a layout
