You are absolutely right, Todd. Hanging out with Jim and you during my recent trip to PA was tons of fun. It was a real pleasure to share his layout with the model railroad community - as it will be with yours, coming soon. ...Roy
hello! I came across the video through a related search on TH-cam in South Korea! The diorama as well as the N scale KATO products are so beautifully composed that it is a fun video for the eyes!
Hi Roy, Thanks for sharing Jim's great layout with us! I was also at last years N Scale Weekend in Altoona. I'm sorry I did not get to meet both you gentlemen. Maybe this year? Mike
Sounds you made a trip to my region. I live just west of Manassas VA near Bealton VA and am working on an HO basement layout which is about 15x36 feet roughly based on the D&RGW Grand Junction area and westward (era: late 70's thru early 80's). My problem is having enough time to get to the point of this layout. I am collecting a roster of N scale rolling stock because I expect to downsize in another 5 years or so. In the meantime work progresses in my basement - I have a blog of sorts on the AtlasRescueForum in the Project Archive section. Enjoyed viewing this video! Cheers.
what an amazing layout! For the scale train ethusiasts, N scale is the option if we don't have an spare room for it. I will upload on my channel how I made my N layout on a coffee table on a video soon
great layout - I'm not an enthusiast or anything - just stumbled on to this - - when I was a kid I had a friend who's uncle built rideable trains - he had tracks running all around his house and quite the impressive workshop - I only got to see it all just once but it was pretty cool - - I like what this guy has done hear though, very nice, my only suggestions would be to slow the trains down to make look more natural (Just my opinion) also if they sell them, the cars need graffiiti decals or something - that would look awesome
Nice layout but a little too 'clinical' for me. Life is full of wear and tear and we should try to present that side of it too by westhering. Perhaps that's part of the project in the future?
Roy, you werr absolutely correct, it did inspire me, I had the pleasure of visiting Tonys N scale layout from @redbirdtony2010 so haveing seen this and his, i am more motivated to get back to work on my own. Thanks for taking us along. Glad your visit to the states was a safe and happy one.
If you email me I can send you photos of I would pass on. He was a Wisconsin Central guy. I used to volunteer at the SD Railroad Museum. But I was a cop, so I could full fill the schedule. .

Who is that playing Billy in the Lowground?
But zero obligation! I collect RR lanterns and keys. Have half dozen conductors lanterns, 300 plus keys and a poop load of other lantern/globes
No spamming on my end, father in law before he passed… been train dorks.

Let me guess Labor sent them a few million
I don’t get the wide spacing on the main lines…..not very realistic at all. But, it’s your rr!
Model railroading is really about getting some quality alone time in the basement from your nagging spouse
Looks like there's more than one man needs. Can never run it all at the same time.
Can be a very good social exercise with numerous friends operating such a layout
