  • Running two New York Susquehanna and Western freight trains on the 4X6 layout. A pair of Atlas GE B40-8 units lead their train on track 1-the inner oval. Outer oval/track 2 has another Atlas pair of engines. An Alco C420 is teamed up with a GP40 . The trains will be shown running on various parts of the layout.
We begin with the trains going around the west side of Benny's Hill. After they pass we the see the trains going over the crossing by Arlee Station. The trains then go by a small residential neighborhood located next to the station's parking lot.
The trains then enter a wooded area as they go around Pine Meadow Curve. Two Norfolk Southern boxcars are parked on the spur that serves a barrel factory. The trains are then seen going under a signal bridge. If that bridge looks different it's because I replaced the Bachmann signal bridge with one by IHC. The IHC model is slightly wider. This comes in handy as the signal bridge has to span not only the double track mainline but also a diverging track from a #7 turnout on track two.
After going under the signal bridge the trains pass in front of the feed mill spur. Two Procter and Gamble hoppers are parked on the spur. The trains then go into another wooded area and they round the curved tracks at the east side of Benny's Hill. Note the deer hanging out by the tracks.
Speaking of wooded territory, I might sneak in a few hours of train watching this weekend in Mine Dock Park..........provided the weather holds up.
