- A early morning commute on the Liberty State Parkway into Portland district and back, beating the worst hours of the rush hour traffic from upstate Liberty.
3D era GTA car models fit surprisingly well in Cities Skylines.
Because the game itself feels like something from early 2000s(except the population density like in GTA VI) lol
Especially with it's buggy traffic that can't even collide with anything
the driver cars from d1 and d2 do as well

Love how it makes Liberty City feel more lived in compared to the original game. I love that the models fit in just right in Cities: Skylines as well.
Original game wasn't supposed to feel 'lived'

Please please make more videos like this in various open world games like Watch Dogs, GTA IV, Saints Row etc. For some reason I found this very interesting to watch as (don't laugh at me) I drive like an NPC in open world games because it immerses me into the world. Seeing this video showed what life is like in Liberty City

This somehow brings a sense of satisfied nostalgia. Like seeing that my childhood video game is still thriving and growing and doing just fine without me. So populated, so much traffic, so much more alive despite all the Skylines limitations and programming.

This is really cool to see. If you use advanced vehicle options you can actually adjust the acceleration and braking values to make the traffic cars drive alittle smoother and more realistic.

It's awesome how the CS mechanics makes automaticly the city feel lively and crowded. It shows exactly how the city would really be full of people if GTA3 was realistic

i like that you tried to mimic one of those "driving to work in nyc in the 1980's" kind of videos. feels so cozy QwQ. even more fitting with old game assets in a modern game. such a clashing of worlds.

As soon as you got into Portland I felt like I was back home, like that feeling that you get when you go back to where you grew up, the place which you have a lot of nostalgia for.

What GTA 4 would look like if it did not feature a tiny map of LC and cut out the rural/farmland areas ...oh well maybe in the future GTA 1 will be remade and we shall finally see a more realistic LC, Vice City and San Andreas (hopefully before 2050) !?

As someone who played a lot of GTA III when it came out, and has played a lot of CS. This is as confusing as it is awesome.
I first played GTA III back in 2002; I only began playing City Skylines back in September 2023; I tried it as a goof but inadvertently ended up taking the game relatively serious LOL

This GTA3 map is restored very well. What mods are used to restore cars? The restoration of the city is really great

daaaaamn this is impressive. portland looks so good with correctly proportioned buildings, it always annoyed me it had those massive stretched out regular sized buildings in the middle of the district

A quick doubt (because I never played this game). You can actually create a city like this in Cities Skyline e play it like in GTA (except for the guns and general mayhem, of course)? Anyways, amazing work!
Would be better without the nauseating "retro cool" "tracking errors". You know DVD was pretty popular already by 2001, right? Also VHS tapes were rarely that bad.
