A early morning commute on the Liberty State Parkway into Portland district and back, beating the worst hours of the rush hour traffic from upstate Liberty.
Because the game itself feels like something from early 2000s(except the population density like in GTA VI) lol Especially with it's buggy traffic that can't even collide with anything
@@narrativeless404 Hey man, I know it's random because it's a video game video LOL, but I have a problem with comments and wanted to know, can you read my comment?
I really like that you didn't just create a 1:1 version but used some artistic liberty to make the city feel more realistic. The entrance to the city looked awesome
3:20 is where playable area actually starts. This is why I love Cities: Skylines, it finally gives us the ability to expand on these worlds were very immersed into
Please please make more videos like this in various open world games like Watch Dogs, GTA IV, Saints Row etc. For some reason I found this very interesting to watch as (don't laugh at me) I drive like an NPC in open world games because it immerses me into the world. Seeing this video showed what life is like in Liberty City
This is truly feels unreal, like a fever dream... I absolutely fall in love with this! Thank you so much for showing your video and also your job of creating map, if you did this on your own! 👍
This somehow brings a sense of satisfied nostalgia. Like seeing that my childhood video game is still thriving and growing and doing just fine without me. So populated, so much traffic, so much more alive despite all the Skylines limitations and programming.
Thanks for putting that forth. *"Like seeing that my childhood video game is still theiving and growing and doing just fine without me".* Never though about it like that before but subconsciously that's exactly feeling too. You just encapsulated it with a few words better than i ever could.
This is really cool to see. If you use advanced vehicle options you can actually adjust the acceleration and braking values to make the traffic cars drive alittle smoother and more realistic.
It's awesome how the CS mechanics makes automaticly the city feel lively and crowded. It shows exactly how the city would really be full of people if GTA3 was realistic
i like that you tried to mimic one of those "driving to work in nyc in the 1980's" kind of videos. feels so cozy QwQ. even more fitting with old game assets in a modern game. such a clashing of worlds.
It's a shame the original poster is apparently inactive. This is stunning work, I'd love to see a full map. Also, I love how probably half the comments are from the last 2 days 😂😂
As soon as you got into Portland I felt like I was back home, like that feeling that you get when you go back to where you grew up, the place which you have a lot of nostalgia for.
Lo mas cercano que estaremos entre un remake de gta3. Me gusta que el juego se vea como un hibrido entre GTA3 y GTA4. No se ve superior graficamente a GTA4 pero se ve mas vivo y detallado que GTA3.
What GTA 4 would look like if it did not feature a tiny map of LC and cut out the rural/farmland areas ...oh well maybe in the future GTA 1 will be remade and we shall finally see a more realistic LC, Vice City and San Andreas (hopefully before 2050) !?
Hey man, i wont lie this is possibly the best rendition of gta 3 liberty city in cities skylines 1 probably ever, i want to ask do you think you can do more tours on this map
А уж как машины в центре города на месте разворачиваются - это вообще смех 😂😂😂. Пока что это всё шляпа. Вот когда в таких городах можно будет ещё и играть как в ГТА - вот тогда это будет круто!
I first played GTA III back in 2002; I only began playing City Skylines back in September 2023; I tried it as a goof but inadvertently ended up taking the game relatively serious LOL So much fun :3
daaaaamn this is impressive. portland looks so good with correctly proportioned buildings, it always annoyed me it had those massive stretched out regular sized buildings in the middle of the district
Imagine going to RockStar Games and showing them this video before the first trailer comes out for GTA 3. I could only imagine what they’d think. It’s not 100% but it’s too close to our secret map. How? How do you already have Head Radio completed? Mike Hunt didn’t even finish recording those lines yet?
I'll never understand it... how come you drive on a Parkway and park in the driveway? Such a trip to watch that it reminds me of the first time I played Grand Theft Auto III when I was like 10 😂
A quick doubt (because I never played this game). You can actually create a city like this in Cities Skyline e play it like in GTA (except for the guns and general mayhem, of course)? Anyways, amazing work!
Would be better without the nauseating "retro cool" "tracking errors". You know DVD was pretty popular already by 2001, right? Also VHS tapes were rarely that bad.
I want a 1hr version of this with the in-game radio. The part at 7:58 is perfect: imagine driving at speed on a rainy and cloudy bright night, on a well-maintained highway with moody lights, while listening to this song. I want to experience it.

3D era GTA car models fit surprisingly well in Cities Skylines.

Love how it makes Liberty City feel more lived in compared to the original game. I love that the models fit in just right in Cities: Skylines as well.

Imagine this is how everyone except Claude sees Liberty city haha 😂
i released some cars from driver that fit in with these cars

@@sixpencerbx Nice city! is there any chance you do the same for GTA4 Liberty City.. would love to see that!
Real
I see what you did there used some artistic "liberty" to make the "city" feel more realistic.
I would agree with the artistic style.
I like how you turned the secret developer names beyond the tunnel as actual places!
You expanded the world and made it bigger and more believable.
Masterpiece.

Liberty city when your parents confiscate your PS2:
wow liberty city has changed a fair bit since 2001, still though rockstar games did a great job capturing the realities of this city
Not really it looks nothing like NYC. GTA IV did a million times better job

The 20+ year old textures and models aged perfectly in to the simulation, it's amazing.

How did you get past Carcer City? Last I checked, the National Guard has it on lockdown including the highways.

Somewhere in this city a bank is being robbed by two very different people

I've even named some districts after places in Bully like Blue Skies Industrial Park & New Coventry.

Very cool and nicely done. Are you able to turn into a person and walk around? That would be cool to see here too.
