I would suggest maybe eating more carivore ish foods.. and less carb foods. When it comes to weight loss, that keeps me fuller.. even though i hate the idea of no carbs
A change I see is the cashews. Try to limit the cashews to 300 calories. Then with the extra calories you can eat 3-4 eggs instead for ~350 cals, will fill you up like crazy and still have remaining calories. Even something like a smoothie for the remaining ~300 calories can do it, especially if you blend a lot of ice into it as it adds more volume
Good luck on your new journey, Jerome. I’m doing ADF too (since August) and looking forward to my refeed tomorrow: lamb chops, chicken wings, steak, salmon, and fruit. Yum yum.
You showed up, Jerome, and you gave it a shot….another way of coming down is maybe cut back 500 calories and cut back 5 hours on the fasts….incremental improvements….thanks for being transparent, Man
Hi jerome.. im glad u are doing so well and that you are slowing down your fasting.. i started this journey years ago with you.. 140kg.. lost it all then gained it back and now found a new routine.. ive gone from extended rolling fasts to alternate day now im omad.. im currently 89kg and eating till im full once a day . Im still losing weight..
I enjoy watching your videos so much! Thank you for your willingness to be so open and honest. You are helping more people than you will ever know! May I make a suggestion? When appetite correction doesn't kick in, it may be a sign of Leptin resistance. Not 100% sure...just a thought. Thank you again!
Not just clean food jerome but look for high volume food and try avoid calorie dense food like nuts and fats, look for alternatives. Love this series though this is what i wanted to see from you! Keep up the awesome work sir
Obviously you gotta do what you feel is best for you, but as a type 2 diabetic myself, I'm wondering if you'd benefit from less carbs and more protein during your refeeds if only to cut down on the hungry feeling. Carbs always make me feel ravenous lol. Anyways, you're definitely still an inspiration! My fasts are all over the place, but I'm still always hitting the clock regardless of when I break or have a bad day. Some days I might hit 20 hours, maybe even 36, 42, rarely 70+, etc. A lot of the time I barely make it to 16. Sometimes I don't even make it to 10. But it doesn't matter. It's as you say, imperfect consistency. It's like Limp Bizkit said, keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'!
Dude ever tried to start refeed with something like eggs or a big steak? Those higher protein and fat foods are super filling. Then add your favorites. Might be worth a try to cut overall calories but feel full.
Good Afternoon Jerome. I wanted to let you know that I supplemented my soup with pulled chicken and 2 pieces of cornbread from a local restaurant; I went on their website for nutritional information and got the calorie information which I journaled. I'm so proud of myself for taking the extra step and I have enough calories left in my window for my banana and a carrot muffin, if I decide to eat more. I feel very happy and finally in control of my appetite. I resisted getting fast food today before my eating window, I was so proud of myself. I'm determined not to eat over 2,000 calories, just a little over 1,200 seems to fit well with me, but remember that I am completely disabled and have over 130lbs to lose. Take care❤
Whoa - that's crazy. That was a LOT of food, and you are still hungry. You'll have to look into upping your protein (maybe). I've seen a lot of TH-camrs that do Paleo, Keto or Carnivore say that protein meals are very satiating. It might be worth a try.
One hour left to complete a 72-hour fast. I have been falling short. Thank you for the inspiration. I will continue rolling between 36-72 hour fasts. This is working 😊
I'm so proud of your accomplishments! Kudos to you! I wanted to ask if you're put there in the dating world? How are people receiving you? How are you receiving them?
Have ever tried the Cesar dressing from Boathouse Farms? It’s 50 calories per serving and is delicious. Would probably save you 500 calories alone. More protein would also help you to feel more full, add 8 oz of grilled chicken to that salad. More veggies and berries. And I know you’ve told me this before but are those cashews really worth it? lol. Maybe only eat half. I’ve been doing ADF for a month by the ways. Eating protein and veggies first has been key for me. I’m down 13 lbs.
I've been so impressed with your ability to simply get into a fast repeatedly! The handful of times I was able to get past the initial 24 hours, the rest was a cake walk (no pun intended), but that initial 24 hours was always the problem for me. In the last month, I've stumbled on an approach that is working surprisingly well _for me._ I have a standing movie night with a friend and normally want pizza. I end up ordering a medium pizza from a local place that I love and they _overload_ the toppings. I have no idea how many calories it is, but it's definitely a lot. I'll eat half of it for lunch, and then the other half at the beginning of the movie. I'll gain 5-6 lbs from that pizza. The rest of the week, from about noon until about 6pm, I've been having: (a) 1-2 small tins of tuna or clams (see note below) (b) maybe a can of beans (c) a salad, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, _or_ a banana (d) maybe a small serving of yogurt (e) drinking a *_lot_* of just barely sweetened tea (like 1/2 teaspoon of sugar for a gallon of tea) or a sugar-free soda It's absurdly simple, and, despite the weekly pizza binge, I've lost 2.0-2.5 lbs each week for 4 weeks now, and while I have brief periods of slight hunger, overall I'm way more satiated than I'd been in a while. *Because of mercury concerns, I'd encourage others to do a mix of tuna, clams, **_and chicken._* (I don't know why I started craving tuna, but that's what my body is demanding, so for the time being, that's what I'm giving it.)
Why do you need to do shorter fasts if it’s not comfortable? Since 65h fasts are working for maintenance and you can eat freely, just continue with what works for your body. ❤
This guy can be a competitive eater with his stomach capacity. Easily 5+lbs. He's stretched his stomach out so much from his past eating habits is why he's still hungry after eating 5k calories in one sitting lol
500 extra calories on one day generally doesn’t cause weight gain for most people an occasional indulgence. I supplement with fiber when I am hungry and drink pickle juice and it helps. I am within 10ths of my gw and read your body makes you more hungry as a way of preventing a famine to maintaince homeostasis .
If you cut out all these oils, you can eat twice as much for half the calories. Use an avocado for a dressing or hummus as the legumes will also increase satiety. But most your calories come from oils it seems and that wont fill you.
@@FinallyFasting how did a salad, with greens being under 100 cal/lb get up to 800 calories as that must have been mostly the oil in the dressing? Ive never had a salad have that many calories tbh. Im sure you could easily cut those calories in half with a home made dressing sans oil.
@@FinallyFasting honestly if you start eating food that isnt processed, ie, its whole as it comes in nature, your caloric intake will cut in half easily and you will instantly be more satisfied. You could easily lose weight doing that alone. But if you are craving a protein bar, and must have one, I get it but a lot of the food is fried in oils and in highly processed breading which doubles the calories, cooked in oil, salads with oils, etc. The nuts are just extremely calorie dense unfortunately so those I would limit to a handful or use in a dressing and fill up on lower calorie density whole food. Just trying to give advice to help you rather than just being hungry.
You Look a little Too Proud of yourself for being able to eat All this stuff 😢 . Eventually our older bodies say Enough 😢❤ Very proud of all your growth and success 🙌 👏 👍
During the fasts are you having water only or do you have any other liquids/supplements also? Have you tried doing high volume low calorie meals, they should help keeping the calories lower but making you full.
Water, black iced coffee, unsweetened iced tea, and the occasional zero calorie drink! Diet Pepsi, Diet Dr Pepper, etc And yeah! I want to start experimenting more with low cal high volume foods-I just need to get myself there. 😅 Thanks for the suggestion!
You’re trying to keep your insulin to not spike up when you’re fasting. Coke beverages no matter if it’s diet, spike your insulin, therefore you’re not fasting anymore. Keep it black coffee and water only when you’re fasting.
Interesting.. it’s always an experiment to see what works. I am also doing a mix of 42s and 65s. But I am choosing to continue to eat as much as I want on my refeed, and just do more 65s if needed.. we shall see how that goes.. 😀

still did lower than 6000+ man! Love the realistic, yet positive mindset bro, you STILL made progress and have fuel for tomorrow's heavy liftin'.

You should watch my episodes of REFEED on this channel where I’m eating 6-7kcal 😅
The protein’s a good call though!
Keep trying and adjust wherever you see fit. You keep us accountable!
I think you will do well: life is about living and figuring things out. Keep being great 🎉

You got this man.
I honestly think you look great at this weight. No need to lose anymore 🌺
I wonder if breaking your fast with meat or fat/protein will help with the hunger!
It will 110%
I'm so proud of your accomplishments! Kudos to you!
I wanted to ask if you're put there in the dating world? How are people receiving you? How are you receiving them?
Thanks! I keep my personal life pretty private but appreciate the kind words 😊
Your meal looks so delicious! Thanks for demonstrating foods we can have and enjoy. Everyone, I feel so much better with OMAD!

More protein J. Trust me, it works especially since you are eating empty carbs which causes hunger levels to the extreme.

I love that you count the calories when you do eat.
I usually only count them when I’m making refeeding videos but I’m going to try to make these at least once a week from here on out 😅

360 of those 5,097 calories (7%) came from olive oil (3tbsp)

Doing carnivore will be most effective on this case. Eat 1-1.2 kg of meat max. 10% fat and you are more than full.
Eat a smaller portion of the cashews, salad and maybe 2 tenders.
Easier said than done. I almost cracked last night after hitting the timer to finish off the cashews and eat more pie 😅
Looks like training wheels. For your future. Awesome 👌

What app do you use?
Do you rush to the restroom after?
If you eat more whole foods you can get more full. That's the trick 😊
Eat clean and you will be alright.
I would be pooping for the next 3 days!!!
like
You can eat more meat next time
Eat 2 lbs of steamed veggies and 2 lbs of Korean sweet potatoes and see if you are still hungry lol.
