When I started this project I was so confused and I had watched about 4 different videos for it, but then your video came up and you made so easy to follow!!! I love this bag so much!

this is the first actual thing i've crocheted, i'm currently on the 4th row of my 2nd star and this is a really easy tutorial. thanks for putting the pattern on the screen it really helped me! i have NO clue how people think this is hard
hi!! i just finished my bag and i really enjoy your content! i feel like the tutorial was much easier and better explained than others, and i think the bag looks so cute! thank you so much!
I would like to ask a question! I made this And on the color change everything was good, until the border starting curving? İs there any way to fix this im so happy i found a good tutorial but the border is curving and not staying straight and giving that star look@@bluegrassfairy
Thank you so much! I have been eyeing these bags since I started crocheting and I’m so happy I was able to make one for a dear friends birthday. Wonderful tutorial!
Dear 💙 BlueGrass Fairy with your beautiful artwork, I'm from the Bluegrass state .... 😂 And I'm a fellow crochet and fabric arts artist.... I absolutely admire your art 🎨 😊😊😊 and your videos!!! Thank you definitely taught me how to crochet a star ⭐
Such an easy and cute tutorial thank u so much I'm so happy with the first bag that I've made and I'm fully beginner ! I started learning like 2 days ago ur instructions are so clear love u
this is the only star crochet tutorial i've seen so far that explains it so simply and well. thank you so much!! would this pattern work for a blanket if i just kept adding +2 dc along each side of the points ?
I’m so glad you found this helpful! And yes absolutely it would work for a blanket. I would also recommend if you want a thick striped look, keep in mind you should do more rows of each color because the bigger the star the smaller the stripe looks, if that make sense. Just a tip :)
Great video thank you, was easy but got stuck around 36:29 I can't see what way you've placed both sides together and mine are opposite i dont know what to do. you've only sort of shown the top bit of it so i got no idea, and a lot of times in the vid moved what you're doing off camera.
@@elis5634 I kind of just tried attaching it end to end but i think i did it wrong because its not the whole strap attached. But it still works and Ive had no problems since finishing it, I also lined the bag with fabric
Oh yes I think that’s something I forgot to explain, you have to skip the stitch closest to your chain 2 cause that one doesn’t count. I do this at the beginning of each round. Sorry i forgot to explain that!
So far I’m understanding the video well, but when we start doubling the dc stitches, are we going between the posts or into the actual top of the stitch?
@@savanna3847 thank you! I figured out what was going wrong and managed to correct it before I got in too deep and the stars turned out great :) just assembling now!
It's quiet understandable but please show us your work more clearly i had to redo the whole thing because your fingers was on top on the stitches i was supposed to skip so i ended up with a 6 legs star :(
I watched so many videos and tried so many times to do this bag (3 times) And they all curved a lot!! I had to undo so many hours of work 😭😭😭 Really hoping this one works out
sorry but this tutorial seems impossible to follow, it's hard to see your stitches because it's so far out of frame and the terminology you use is very confusing. it would help if you could put the written version of the pattern on screen.
I’m sorry this was hard for you to understand. I actually did but the written pattern on the screen each step of the way. I have gotten feedback about the camera work and I will try to do better next time. Maybe if you are a beginner try something easier to understand.
marking where i left off: 15:53 (gonna get something to eat) 26:16 (taking a break: note to self: you're currently making 14 stitches rather than either at 12 cause you want aa bigger bag)
I AM A BEGINNER AND I HAVE DONE THIS BAG BY UR TUTORIAL, IT WAS SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND!! As I am non-native speaker, initially I've searched tutorials in Russian, but it was so confusing, that I decided to find smth in English and here u go!! I AM GRATEFUL FOR UR VIDEO, THANK U A LOT 🌹🌹 Although, ur voice is so soothing ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ (I hope, there's no mistakes in my comment lol. If it does have some, please correct me🙏🏿🙏🏿)
You can but I found out that if you do this is can unravel when you put weight in the bag, If you don’t tie in your tail really well. The chain is more secure I think.
That’s a great question, so mine has never done that it could be the kind of yarn you’re using or how tight it is or something like that. As long as it come together okay I think you should be fine
sometimes when my flat crochet pieces curl or have bumps in them I spray them with water and keep them under a heavy book/ flat object, it always gets the job done!
Thank you so much for this vid. I had tried so many trying to get what I wanted look wise. Your's made so much more sense. I do have a little bit of advice for you, sometimes when you're showing stitches and counting, you pull your work off camera, luckily you put it just enough back that I could pause or wind back to make sure I caught the right instructions. Other thing is more for how you worded this one. You said that you're doubling dcs, the part along the side up to the peaks.
I also think that this is a very easy pattern, and she even shows how to do some stuff to where some beginners can understand. This is not a hard pattern unless you aren't paying attention or reading well. It's really easy for beginners and advanced, and I like that she does that. Just pay more attention and read better, and it'll be easier 😌
Sorry if the angle made it tricky to see but the most vital parts of the project should be visible. Sometimes I took it off camera to bring it up closer to my eyes to double check what I was doing.
I'm a 11 Yr old and this is SUPER easy to follow OMG I have NO idea how people think this is hard i LOVE THE BAG SO MUCH THANK YOU!!!
I’m glad it was easy for you!! Thanks for the feedback

Where I started the strap 27:37
All was good till the first colour change where you're not clear which stich you are going into. I had to guess
personally took me 5 tries to get it right as an intermediate but turned out nice in the end

17:13 didn’t you skip one loop? Because when I do 4 dc, there is still one left before the space
Oh yes I think that’s something I forgot to explain, you have to skip the stitch closest to your chain 2 cause that one doesn’t count. I do this at the beginning of each round. Sorry i forgot to explain that!
@@bluegrassfairy it’s okay, i skipped that loop as well, and now the project turned out pretty well!

You did an awesome job! Thanks for mentioning me ❤️
@@bluegrassfairy no problem! :)
How do we fasten off at the end before we start the strap?
Very easy to follow thank you
Can we just make a manic circle?
If you mean “magic” circle then you could buy I tried it once and it unraveled when I put weight in the bag so the chain method is better I think.
Thx now, I make bags/money bags and sell them
I am so confused
I can’t put my hook through the hole and do a single crochet it’s to confusing for me, if you or someone knows an easier way please tell me!
Make a magic circle
Babe you should start with something easier if you’re a beginner
You should turn your hook downwards 😊
Start with somthing easier!
Just use a smaller hook (I use 1.7 and it works perfectly, it just takes some time to be used to it)
can this pattern also be used to make the star blanket ?
I haven’t personally tried it but I think so. If you just keep adding 2 each round it will only get bigger and bigger so it should work!
What weight of yarn are you using?
I don’t remember I’m sorry!
It looks like a type 4 or type 3
@@Paigeypoo4eva thank you!!
Haiii wanted to know how many balls of Yarn did u use:D
I used about 2/3 of 2 balls. Each one was about 350 yards at the start.
How much yarn did you use?
12:06 just a time stamp for me
How much yarn do you need in total??
I used about half of a skein for both colors, and I think each one was about 300 yards.
I LOVE YOU
